I bought the automatic. It has a Seiko NH-35 movement. It’s the work workhorse that Seiko put in a lot of their watches. I bought 6 overall to give to my sons and friends. I have had mine over 2 years and it keeps time about a minute or so every couple of weeks. I found out that some pro divers are assembled in Malaysia. They are faultless. I bought one which was assembled in China and sent it back. The day didn’t always turn over. But the Malaysian ones I would put up against a Swiss watch. People claim that they are ‘Rolex’ knockoffs. I own a Glashutte a Rolex Sub and have had countless divers in my seven decades. this is the best bezel action I have ever felt on a watch. It’s a great watch…period!
Bram de Haas - Agreed. But it's just begging to go onto a Connery Bond nato strap anyway. I suspect most will be rippling that bracelet straight off, for better or worse.
Vanguard Coffee House yep, I think so too. A NATO strap serves most watches much better than a cheap bracelet. I’m a big fan of watches on bracelets but if they’re of bad quality, they go straight in the bin and get replaced by a nato or leather strap!
Bram de Haas - OK. TBH, I prefer a good leather strap, something about a lot of bracelets that I don't like, even when they are decent. I have only kept 2 of my watches on bracelets, mostly because they've been crap quality but the few pieces I have on bracelets they start at 20mm and taper down to 16mm and are so freakin' comfortable on the wrist.
i actually like it. its so well edited and subdued. even invicta haters have to admit its not bad. sure it copies a rolex, but who doesnt. and rolex doesnt make it anymore and its not pretending to be a rolex and its 1/100th the price of what rolex would charge.
They never got me with their pro divers... maybe that has changed , I’ve recently fallen in love with the somewhat similar looking Tudor Black Bay 58 but I’m trying not to sell a kidney
This one caught my eye a couple of weeks ago when someone posted theirs in one of my facebook groups. I would actually wear that. Not a bad effort at all! Someone also posted a couple of gorgeous vintage Invictas. It's really a shame they chose the direction they did. Cheers Jody. Be safe!
Finally, a decent affordable vintage no-date Sub homage. I have been waiting for this. I love my Invicta 30092. Sold out everywhere I look. I hope they make some more.
I'm not sure if the standard Pro Diver mods will fit though. The crystal seemed fractionally wider. But yes, this one will be staying for future projects! Cheers.
The dial does seem to be larger than typical dials from Seiko divers, SKX, Turtle, etc ... also bigger than the old Pro Diver which we know can hold standard Seiko dials 🤔
I was glad and surprised to see no Invicta etching on the side of the case. A good little review. Honestly, I would buy an automatic Timex before getting this watch.
I bought one with IP finishing. First thing I did was removed the bracelet. Nato is the way to go. Today I have a black leather zulu 5 ring on it. Mine is extremely accurate + or - under 2 seconds. The bezel is spot on. I think the mineral crystal adds to the vintage look. Great review but then I would expect nothing less from you sir.
Got mine a couple of weeks ago from Jomashop as well. Wasn't looking for it but when I noticed no engraved name on the side that was the nail in the coffin for me. Enjoying it and would recommend picking one up if you haven't.
I have many watches but sold my Rolex submariner due to not staying waterproof over the years and unable to correct the problem .On sale for 29.95 I purchased a prodiver as a more reliable looking rolex. I am very happy and it is my daily watch to ware and no waterproof problems
Well Cody, you taught me to expect a lot from $100 with the Pagani Design watches you have featured. They are all Homages anyways. The the Hulk and Yachtmaster are way better value and still have change for one strap or more. I don't value Invicta so highly as to pay a premium for their brand.
If they made the logo a little smaller or did something interesting with it, and all the other printing on the dial was gone....I'd be all over this. Haven't been too much of an Invicta fan but they finally homaged the right watch! I doubt it's possible to swap an aftermarket 1st gen Sub dial onto this but it'd be a pretty fun little watch if you could.
Oregon is above California! 👊🏼 Just got into collecting watches, wear my Casio MRW-200 the most, got a blacked out digital Casio, and a Duro. I had an Invicta Pro Diver Quartz back in 2013 and liked it quite a bit. I prefer a functional and tough watch, something practical.
Dont know why people keep trashing Invicta. I bought an 8926 back in 2010 and its been my beach and work watch ever since and has never let me down. No leaks and still runs maybe a few minutes fast a week./ Also own an F0066 with the old NH25 non hacking movement and it keep better time than some of my Swiss watches.
I'm relatively new to watches (2 years) and just wore my first nylon strap. Very comfortable and lightweight. Makes me think to buy a watch without bracelet so all expense goes into a higher quality watch. After wearing my first upper end bracelet, I can't go back to pressed clasps, so I don't want it anyway.

That Sean Connery impression.
😅
😂
🤣
⚰️
Got mine two days ago. It‘s a great dive watch, and a good hommage.
For this price it‘s outstanding. Get one.
Be safe!
"The big Invicta Clod Hopper watches"... made me laugh... only someone from the uk would say that.
Finally, a decent affordable vintage no-date Sub homage. I have been waiting for this. I love my Invicta 30092. Sold out everywhere I look. I hope they make some more.
Here I need to buy toilet paper and you’ve got me buying an Invicta. Excellent review as usual.
haha think thats gonna happen to a few people on here
John Doyle - funny and agree
Lmao 😂😂😂
I was finally able to buy one of these!! Now I’m waiting for it to arrive. Great review, and nice Sean Connery impression!!
This one needs to be modded!
I'm not sure if the standard Pro Diver mods will fit though. The crystal seemed fractionally wider. But yes, this one will be staying for future projects! Cheers.
How would you mod it? I thought the whole point was that it looked like the original submariner?
@@JustOneMoreWatch Seiko SKX crystals should be the perfect fit
The dial does seem to be larger than typical dials from Seiko divers, SKX, Turtle, etc ... also bigger than the old Pro Diver which we know can hold standard Seiko dials 🤔
Yes, its a homage, but its a clean case to make something of your own. No Invicta dial to polish out 😂
I was glad and surprised to see no Invicta etching on the side of the case. A good little review. Honestly, I would buy an automatic Timex before getting this watch.
I hope invicta starts having this level of branding going forward.
100% Bond! Me like! Thanks Jody!
Got mine a couple of weeks ago from Jomashop as well. Wasn't looking for it but when I noticed no engraved name on the side that was the nail in the coffin for me. Enjoying it and would recommend picking one up if you haven't.
INVICTA RULES!!!!!
Love it! Have to give credit where credit is due. Invicta 1953 is very sweet!
At least you've got the whole Scottish thing down like Sean Connery.
This kicks the ass out of my Seiko 5 (not the 5KX). Same movement, better proportions, a better bracelet, oh and half the price. Yikes
And stolen design from Rolex Sub from 1953 👌 Seems legit!
TikTalk to each their own🤷♀️
@@TikTalk but cannot beat it for the price as a homage and a huge improvement and surprise coming from invicta, at least they did it right this time
@@---Blue sure ;) But still - I'd prefer original design by Seiko 5, than another vintage Sub homage.
and no stock!
So far I been enjoying my new invicta from invicta free, how can anyone go wrong with this homage ,very impressive piece for what you get...
Jodys recommending an Invicta, there was a pink super moon last night and Tom Brady plays for the Buckaneers....What’s next hoarding toilet paper?
I have many watches but sold my Rolex submariner due to not staying waterproof over the years and unable to correct the problem .On sale for 29.95 I purchased a prodiver as a more reliable looking rolex. I am very happy and it is my daily watch to ware and no waterproof problems
Well Cody, you taught me to expect a lot from $100 with the Pagani Design watches you have featured. They are all Homages anyways. The the Hulk and Yachtmaster are way better value and still have change for one strap or more. I don't value Invicta so highly as to pay a premium for their brand.
SAME!
Jody
Watched this tonight, another great vid, Sean Connery passed away today. Keep em coming, i look forward to each new vid
Invicta's are better than their rep ... I have a few and they look good, run fine and seem to be as well made as many other watches
I’m waiting for a submariner homage made by a company with the brand name that’s just an anagram of Rolex.
Goodbyemrpink Rexol would be good, if you flash your watch real quick it might get mistaken for the real thing.
Oregon is above California! 👊🏼
Just got into collecting watches, wear my Casio MRW-200 the most, got a blacked out digital Casio, and a Duro. I had an Invicta Pro Diver Quartz back in 2013 and liked it quite a bit. I prefer a functional and tough watch, something practical.
There's no such thing as a high demand Invicta.
I think perhaps this is one such watch.....
Try to find this one.
Your eating your own words! Lol now open mouth insert foot!
I'm actually really impressed with this watch. Good job Invicta!
Come on Invicta, if you’re going to copy a Rolex, at least get the taper on the bracelet right 😏
I massively agree.
Then you would say they didn’t add enough of their own spin on it and you would have ripped it apart and accuse them of getting it wrong!
I agree with what you said about invicta, but the divers are different and I think you'll agree.
I hate it when the brand is just a simple text... looks like some el cheapo China thing. They should have used the wing logo.
I hate wing logo
I hope the high demand for this tells Invicta that we want more like this!
no invicta is hot, repeat please!
😂
Dont know why people keep trashing Invicta. I bought an 8926 back in 2010 and its been my beach and work watch ever since and has never let me down. No leaks and still runs maybe a few minutes fast a week./ Also own an F0066 with the old NH25 non hacking movement and it keep better time than some of my Swiss watches.
Watching this video while wearing mine got it 3 weeks ago. I replaced the bracelet for a vintage one keeping accurate time :)
well, vintage subs have acrylic crystals, so the fact that this is mineral is even better in my opinion. No saphire needed
I recommended you review this one on the gram! So glad for this and thank you for being a ray of sunshine is such weird times for all of us! Ride on!
Add a jubilee for a boost in the vintage vibe. That faded ghost insert is a nice faux patina touch.
