At 7:00 you can see that it's actually the floor that's unstable. 3 mm of movement down there will translate to much more at the top, especially when in the top position. Not saying the Jarvis is perfectly stable, but the wobbling we can see in your video is at least partly from the floor and carpet.
Yeah completely agree on this! Would be a different story on a hard floor. Also now that it has pushed the carpet down a good bit its much more stable 👌
Looks like Fully is having a massive sale, maybe due to merging with another company Would you recommend this desk for a gaming rig? 3x monitors on arms and general other lighter objects spread around (PC will be left on the floor) I'll be getting the largest 180cm model and tbh I won't be using it for standing up.,I'll be sat so I hope the wobble won't be too bad for me. ty
Yeah some really good deals! I really like my desk and it would be great for the setup you mention, i have very little wobble on my desk when it’s in the sitting position. I just wonder is it worth getting a standing desk if you don’t plan on standing?
@@alex.oneill I'm not really sure what else to buy, but Im open to suggestions! I could get an IKEA drawer setup but eventually the desk will sag in the middle even with a leg support. Preferably I'd like a large 180cm sitting desk that fits my height but yeah....idk what to get
Ah yeah well then the fully Jarvis will be great! I’m very happy with mine. That’s true it allows you to set it to the perfect sitting height for yourself 👌
Still very happy with my desk but I know that Fully was purchased by Herman miller so not sure if that will make a difference to the overall buying experience. I got mine direct from Fully last year.
Thank you, Alex! Why did you choose the jarvis over the remi? Both are on sale at the moment. Not really sure, which one to choose. Thanks! And subscribed 🙂
Thank you! So at the time I thought getting the 3 stage Jarvis frame was important but looking back now the Remi would have been fine! Also the sale at the moment is so good, very jealous as I paid full price! I have mine close to a year and still so happy i bought it.
Hello Alex! Great to see another upload, I agree that the classic (Ikea) table is very nice and that upgrading to a Sit/Stand desk is definitely worth it. Though it is difficult to cable manage them since you have to calculate how far the cables can go. I personally will keep sticking to a classic desk because Sit/Stand desks are out of my price range still but I have seen some cheaper manually adjustable desks that were worth checking out. Great video once again, have a nice start to the week!
Very helpful video. I am considering purchasing a Fully Jarvis desk this week. Now that you have had the desk for half a year, any regrets? Thank you for taking the time to post your video! It’s great.
Thank you! Yes I'm still very happy with this desk after 6 months of use! I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a standing desk, no issues with it at all.
Thanks Patrick! No I didn’t actually do anything to stop it. It hasn’t been a problem at all over the past few months. When I have it at standing height and I’m typing/using my mouse there’s very little wobble. It’s only when I really try to move it that it wobbles!
Yikes that wobble tho…I was gonna get one of these and add a piano tray for a midi controller keyboard, but yeah looks like that ain’t happening. Sigh. I can not find a decent desk that has what I want for a reasonable price.
We literally have the same chair, with the armrest off lol May be time for a new chair, at least it is for me. Im looking at the Aeron. Might have to pick me up a Jarvis desk too.
Hey ALex. Great video but i was disappointed to see the wobble of the desk, oh nooo. And it is a nice looking table. I really liked it,in fact, i liked the walnut colour but not at the moment because it will not fit in my small room. Very nice minimalistic desk set up you have. I finally bought my first monitori wonder if you remember, i was thinking to buy the one you have but it’s too big for my desk instead i got the Lg 4k display 24” it is all I need at the moment. I enjoyed you tips.
I was soo excited finding someone in Ireland that reviews things like this 😭😭 I ordered the Jarvis and the customer service and delivery is so slow but I just wanted to ask do you think this table is definitely worth it or I should be looking for a refund instead of the back and forth ?😭
Haha that's one of my goals, to give an Irish perspective as we see a lot of UK and US reviews! Yeah delivery was a bit slow, it took a while for my desk to actually ship after ordering but once it did ship it was delivered in 5 days. I emailed customer service before it shipped as I was wondering the same thing and they came back to me saying my order is ok and should be with me soon so I had an ok experience with them. I am really happy with my desk to be honest, I have it over a month and have no issue at all. The wobble when standing isn't bad at all while typing. You really have to try shake it for it to be a problem. So yeah, if you can get it I would try it out. I'm pretty sure they have a good return policy in case you really aren't happy! Hope that helps!
What about installing the legs facing opposite directions? Is it possible? If so, it could help with the stability problems. Let us know if you try it this way ;)
Hi Miguel, yeah that could work but to be honest the table is actually not that bad when I am just trying and using a mouse so no need to change! It's only bad when I really try to shake it
Hello! I'm contemplating buying a Jarvis and after watching this I'm worried about my use case for it... I'd like to use it as both a desk to work on (standing etc) but also to game on (most likely sat down) do you think it would be suitable for gamers (fps based games)?
@@alex.oneill Amazing, thank you! I was worried that the wobble might be too much! But I guess I'm not really that frantic with moving the mouse around. Did you resolve your desk wobble? Or have you just gotten used to it?
Yeah you'll be absolutely fine! I think the main reason mine had a wobble is because its on a pretty thick carpet, but it wobbles far less now that it has pressed the carpet down. If it was on a hard floor it would be very stable!

@@alex.oneill Oh I forgot to ask. How thick is the dark bamboo top? I've read it's a little thicker than the standard (2cm) so I may go with that.
The Dark Bamboo is 3cm thick
looks clean, im deciding between this and also another uk brand called ergodesk looks solid also
Still very happy with my desk but I know that Fully was purchased by Herman miller so not sure if that will make a difference to the overall buying experience. I got mine direct from Fully last year.
Hi a6m41, I am considering the Atlas from Ergodesk. Have purchased from them?

Great video ! It's very annoying that they've added all these upsells that were standard a few years ago
Thanks Eamon! Yeah the handset upgrade is annoying but probably worth getting in the long run.
hi Alex nice video, im also looking into buying the desk. I was wondering if you were able to find a solution to the nobleing.
Thanks Patrick! No I didn’t actually do anything to stop it. It hasn’t been a problem at all over the past few months. When I have it at standing height and I’m typing/using my mouse there’s very little wobble. It’s only when I really try to move it that it wobbles!

So I do think the fact I have it on carpet makes the wobble much worse! But if you’ll have yours on a carpet maybe it wouldn’t work
@@alex.oneill Yeah my rooms are carpeted unfortunately, my living room is hardwood flooring…but don’t want the desk in the living room lol. Cheers.
We literally have the same chair, with the armrest off lol May be time for a new chair, at least it is for me. Im looking at the Aeron. Might have to pick me up a Jarvis desk too.
Haha yeah it’s a solid chair! I would love an Aeron, they seem to be the best out there!

Do u regret not going with another brand like uplift
No not at all - I'm really happy with this desk now!

Is the design of the dark bamboo noticeable? In the website photo, it looks dark brown, but in your video looks practically black.
Yeah you can see the grain on the dark bamboo for sure and yeah it’s more black than dark brown!
What is the desk mat you're using?
It’s just a standard faux leather desk Matt from Amazon, have it linked in the description 👌
which size desk did you purchase?
I got the 140cm x 80cm 👌
what desk pad are you using?
Just a generic leather desk mat from Amazon - Was only €15
Where did u get your laptop holder
I just got it off Amazon, was pretty cheap 👌

@@alex.oneill Thanks 👍. Was deliberating between the height options they have, this helps me
Yeah I would have been fine getting the standard option to be honest, no real need to upgrade!
