    Your assembly video is a million times more helpful than the official Topsky one. Many thanks!

    Thank you for making this video! We didn't know there was an extender cord for the control panel and were so frustrated that the cords wouldn't allow us to put the panel on the right side. Watching this video tipped us off that there was a cord. It had fallen behind something while we were opening the box.

    I bought these legs back when they where sub 200 dollars. The best investment I ever made. They keep going up in price so I’d get them now while you can.

    just got t his desk for my father and love it . i have another model that they have . DYI is the way to go vs the other desks out there. Also now tht they offer tops that come pre-drilled and solid and put together well that is a bonus and they cost around the same as if you were going to ikea or getting a butcher block to have a nice top. Also duel motors are the only way to go and will last longer

    I just put mine together today, I was pretty impressed with the quality, durability, and its easy to put together. One thing they missed tho, there is no way (included) to secure the power supply brick to the underside the desk or anywhere else. I ended up using some thick double sided tape to stick it the back-side of the right leg, but also some heavy duty self-adhesive velcro would work great too. I used a 50 inch butcher block counter top as my desk-top, so I used some beefier #10 wood screws.

    I put this desk together and am impressed by the build quality. However, my monitor shakes a lot when I type. Do you think it's possible that this is because of the desktop I'm using? It's a 60" x 1" by 24" particle board top that used to be part of a sauder desk. If you think this could be the issue, is what you're using this? i would also like to know the answer to this question. looking for stability at all heights before going in on a topsky frame purchase.

    • @RaviAnand
      @RaviAnand 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@danielabary I got the SALJAN countertop and the monitor wobble is unfortunately still pretty bad, especially when the desk is up high. Real bummer, makes me nauseous. I considered getting the KARLBY butcher block countertop since it has wood veneer but I'm not sure it would be any better. I think the issue is that the Topsky base doesn't support the center enough so maybe solid wood would work? Anyway I hope this is helpful to you.

    • @danielabary
      @danielabary ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ohsballer I ended up getting the Karlby desktop, but instead of a standing desk, I have it unsecured on top of two Ikea Alex drawers, and invested in a nice secondhand Herman Miller Aeron desk chair. It works out because I use all of the drawers for stuff and my back is supported nicely by my chair. Eventually I’ll probably upgrade to a standing desk still.

    Topsky recommends a table top no wider than 70.8 inches… but I went with the IKEA Karlby which is like 74.. if I’m not mistaken, you used a 74 inch table top as well.. if so, did those 4 inches cause any issues?

    1 year warranty isn't good for quality standing desks. XDesks gives 5 years. Ikea gives a 10 year. Uplift Desks are 15 years. If you compare to no-name brands on Amazon with no warranty at all, 1 year is good I guess. But did you not compare to other desks before buying this?

    Where is the paper adapter supposed to go? on the floor, or attached to the frame / table? The instructions are poor and the videos skip over that part. Update for anyone else wondering: the power brick needs to be attached to the desk underside. The company recommends you use the cable guides w/ 3m tape. This is not very secure. Some one on Amazon said they bought a metal basket & mounted it then placed the brick inside, others use strong double sided tape.

    The desk only has a 1yr warranty? That’s not something you want to brag about. Get a Fully or Uplift desk and you get a 15yr warranty but it costs a bit more.

    Amazon has very bad reviews on this due to the motor chords being extremely short (you can't connect one extreme to the other) anyone knows about this?

    • @SteelDoesMyWill
      @SteelDoesMyWill 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I read those too but they must have fixed it. I just put mine together today and there is a specific extension cord that will go from the farthest motor to the control unit while the closer motor will plug directly into the controller. The nice thing is you can choose which side of the desk you want the controller and key-pad on if you are right or left handed, just use the extension cord on whichever motor is going to be on the opposite side of the desk from the controller.
