Nothing but a paid ad with an overly dramatic characterization of comparisons that really aren't that meaningful. Tough to see how this is a fair and objective comparison. It seems you tried very hard to find weaknesses (quite a stretch in most) in one but not the other. Too bad.
If your time is not something you keep into consideration while doing tasks like building furniture. Then the cheapest option wins. The problem is when the cheapest beats the expensive. At this point it's a paid ad to you. And you choose what to do with it... Am I right?😜
The Fully brand used to be its own thing.. or at least its own website. Completely separate from Herman Miller. That acquisition or merge in website is a recent thing. Back when Fully was on their own website, their offers were far more extensive. My friends and I have purchased five Jarvis frames over the years. You could get them for around $400 shipped during their biggest sales. We put Ikea countertops on all of the frames. I have zero complaints about the Jarvis+Karlby combo. It's just a real shame that the Herman Miller shop for them doesn't sell the frame by itself, and the prices went up on everything. Really not competitive at their current prices and options.
I agree with the fact that they should sell the frames by themselves. I plan on still using it with... a Karlby too actually, but I have to be honest. The flexispot was just so easy to build. I don't think I'd be able to recommend the Jarvis unless some changes are made to that. Seriously, the whole "mechanical screws are bolted inside the tubing" part was a bit frustrating and disappointing. Also that knock on raising and lowering was another point of worry for me. Like one motor actuates a little before the other. It's not a bad product. Far from it. It's just not what I expect for 1000$ and the top being laminate. Thank you for sharing your experience though. Good to know you guys like what you got!
Planning on an E7 with a custom desktop made with Maple from a local lumberyard (2 24”x24”x1 1/2” blocks that’ll get glued and joined together using Cherry dovetails, matte-satin finish). I am so stoked for this desk and hoping i’ll have it done by Fall.
i've seen more than 10 video reviews about standing desks and ALL of them including yours are suggesting FLEXISPOT as the best and I was soooo happy about it cause i finally found the size i wanted...and then....SHIPPING .......WELL TELL ME HOW AM I GONNA ORDER THAT IN GREECE.... SHIPPING COSTS ONE MORE DESK I AM SOOOO FRUSTRATED 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 spent a whole night searching on youtube just to find out that...
Oh crap that sucks :(. Honestly, as long as you can afford it, most standing desk will work for you. The annoyances that a fully might have are far more minor that being able to have a sit/stand desk. So buy what you can. Ideally a system without a top, and get your own desk surface!
If i do get the flexispot desk do you know of any drawers like alex drawers or organizers that can be screwed in to the desk because I like storage? Please 😊
Was there anything you preferred about the Fully Jarvis over the E7? I presume HM have made no changes to the mechanism/legs to improve on the issues you highlighted
yes, I've been using the fully ( my GF uses the E7 since it was her gift ). The fully is fine. my main thing I like about it is that the legs arent dead center on each side. So when I swing my legs left or right to turn around, my feet don't touch the pillars. all in all, they're both fine. Its a question of value, and time spent on the build for me.
from a pure sit stand value, and even if you dont stand, the adjustability, I would get this. The alex drawers are great if you need to store things though. If you have the money, id buy one or 2 flexispot models down, like the E3 or something, and have the legs as far apart as possible, and then have an alex drawer under. That does mean that the alex drawer would limit how low you can go.
You probably don't need to (or even want to) try any more sit stand desks, but after doing extensive research, I finally settled on a DeskHaus Apex Pro and I would HIGHLY recommend giving them a try if you ever do. Definitely not the most inexpensive option, but the quality is top notch, and same goes for the customer service. Excited to see what other upgrades awaits your desk setup!
oof, close to a thousand dollars for the frame alone!! Not going to lie, it looks insanely robust with the 3 stage quad horizontal beam and dual motors on each side! I hope they contact me to try it out one day. Unfortunately, even with running this small channel on the side, its too expensive for me. I do see the value in it though. Definitely looks like an absolute unit!
@@BootSequence Fingers crossed 🤞Also, since you just built your custom desk, you've got to try your hand at doing a fully custom keyboard! I'm sure quite a few of the custom keyboard channels would love to do a collab with you!
I swear, the flexispot was SO EASY. I built many sit stands for offices, and a couple I replaced because I was moving. Sometimes the instructions themselves are BAD!
I realized how shilled out this review was when you started unboxing the Jarvis. Really doing anything and everything to make it seem like a worse product. Gotta keep those brand relationships strong I guess.
“You have to go through the rest of the site instead of it just being there”. What? This doesn’t even make sense. Also, it is Herman Miller, the most recognized name in office chairs, of course they aren’t going to have a wide selection. This is the dumbest statement I have heard in a video in years. My gawd! TWO Allen keys?!? How did you survive?! Amazing the gripes someone being given free stuff can find. Not a single solitary redeeming quality for the Herman Miller? Be more transparent.
When a product is priced above another, it should be better, period. Also , no. Herman isn't responsible for the quality here. Fully was a brand with a wider selection and more modularity. Herman bought fully and slashed staff, models and customizability. Also anytime a process is easy to follow, it's a plus for a product. Flexispot won there. I don't know why you think that being frustrated while building a product isn't a reason not to buy the product.there's a reason a lot of people don't shop at Ikea.
Well, they do say that swearing to ward off pain/frustration is a sign of intelligence. Swear away! Then again, not something a company wants to have promoted for their product hahahaha
In the context of height-adjustable desks, the choice of material, particularly solid wood, plays a crucial role in the perception of quality and luxury. Walnut, known for its deep beauty, durability and distinctive grain, is often seen as a symbol of luxury in furniture. When you mention the Flexispot E7 Pro, you're highlighting a model that's highly regarded for its robustness and reliability, but the conversation really turns to the top material when we talk about luxury. The Fully Jarvis (Herman Miller), with its genuine solid walnut top, is a clear standout in the height-adjustable desk market. Solid walnut is not only durable and hard-wearing, it also adds a touch of elegance and prestige to a workspace. The rich grain, color nuances and smooth finish of a solid walnut top can transform a functional desk into an interior design centerpiece.
Yeah! I love some of their chairs, but far from all of them. And those I like are just to expensive for me. Hey I need a chair, not a ergonomic sculpture that happens to double as an excellent chair. I'm prepared to pay for a chair, but am not going to make an exhibit of it. And chill it with the sit stand desks. They are not designed by Herman Miller, so don't even try to apply the HM tax on them! Having said that real professional office chairs come in several grades. The best chairs are rated for 24/7 use. That is they are built to support someone using them all the hours of the day for up to ten years before needing a rebuild. And yes, a rebuild not a replacement as these are way expensive and made to last. I can only wish I could get hold of one from a clearance or something, but not going to happen...
It all depends on price ( Unless its a bekant, the circle design for the legs is bad.. so bad It's been discontinued in my area ). Ikea is good to build, but it's still more money compared to the price of the least expensive Flexispot ones (e5 or other models )

Which Tabletop did you chose for the Flexispot ?

When did you define the review criteria for this? I have IKEA butcher block on Fully legs when you could buy them without a top.
you bough it when Fully wasn't owned by Herman Miller.

I’m using the E7 for a few months now and it’s incredible. Great value for me

Should of compared with uplift or deskhaus. Herman Miller’s chairs are top notch, but the desk is not up to their usual standard or pricing.
Swearing like a salor is part of the tools needed when either working or putting something together. It just never listed.
I swear, the flexispot was SO EASY. I built many sit stands for offices, and a couple I replaced because I was moving. Sometimes the instructions themselves are BAD!
I wish that Flexispot shipped to Hawaii. The only freaking brand that does is Herman Miller.
Office Depot has
omg you are so frikkin right about the mosquitos. AWESOME VIDEO. Real life testing. Great!
Wow. I had a similar experience with the fully Jarvis desks. I do not like them and regret it. Very wobbly. Bad look for Herman miller.
I agree. Man was it a bad one for me.
I trust your review on the flexisport desk but Im in the market for an L-shape desk rn. Flexispot standing L-shape offerings are kinda shit
That's a bummer. Still though, I wouldnt reccomend the Ikea Bekant, or fully jarvis'es. Theres probably another brand you could get!
hello
Could you please use centimeters and not inches ? I have no idea what's going on
NIce stability test! Not even in the shot. You could just be using less pressure and you didn't test front to back stability. Sick of you guys.
Doesn't really matter. The assembly process and the price would already be a deterrent to a smart consumer.
I realized how shilled out this review was when you started unboxing the Jarvis. Really doing anything and everything to make it seem like a worse product. Gotta keep those brand relationships strong I guess.
Buy both. See for yourself. Fully is garbage since it was acquired by Herman Miller.

herman miller... LOL. just because of your strong name they can charge that much :D

100% if yk how to put one of those things together😂 if not just stick with flexi spot fs
