    I just bought one of these in the ex trim, and I love it so much. At first I thought I would be using the sport driving mode more often, for the power, but now I am addicted to the efficiency mode. I love how this car moves, I love everything about it.

    Personally i like the blind spot monitoring (left and right) better than the camera which is right side only. Although sometimes theres benefit to that camera like when its raining, its easier to look into the screen than the wet side mirror.

    The EX models does 0-60 in about 7.7 seconds and better gas mileage than the touring since it’s less weight due to the 16 and inch rims

    I can consistently get 48 MPG with the EX by just consciously driving non-aggressively. The Insight seems to have the most trouble with hilly terrain. On level ground or a slight decline I can get 55 MPG all day but going up a hill tanks the MPG so bad it can dip into the 30's if you have to do a significant amount of uphill driving. It seems to affect this gas/electric engine combo worse than the traditional gas engine in the 10th gen Civic.

      I use sports mode while going through hilly areas and average 57. Sports mode is the key and with light throttle

    • @jm31828
      @jm31828 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting! That puts it big much better than my non-hybrid Toyota Corolla, that can get 43 or 44 highway if I take it easy and don’t have too much uphill driving to do.
      I was seriously looking at an insight for the better mpg as well as being a nicer car… but if the mpg in the highway isn’t much (if at all) better since I mostly do highway driving, I might have to reconsider.

    is there any fuel consumption difference between EX model vs touring ? Thank you

    • @JJ-cg3rn
      @JJ-cg3rn 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On paper the EX and LX will do a little better. Both of these models come with 16” wheels vs 17”. The 17’s are a little heavier... the Touring Model itself is about 70 lbs heavier overall compared to the other two. Real world although it may be easier to get higher numbers with an EX you could probably get the same with a Touring. Check out Fuelly.com if you get a chance. It’s a cool website where people can register their car and log their mpg’s. You can compare Touring to EX models that people own... they have just about any make and model car (and even some motorcycles) you could want.

      The Prius gets up to Highway speed in a good time. You won’t really notice or feel a struggle too bad. Both Prius and incite are legit vehicles if hybrid your thing. Just test drive one if you ever curious. I used to think they would drag ass due to other peoples comments but now I know they great

    How did you get a 478 mile range? I bought it new and my insight never goes about 380 mile range and ive tried 87, 89, and 93. Any tips?

      mine is 473 as well. Change your setting to manual reset on your fueling setting reset. I get 50-51mpg average with the touring model. Your milage suffers a lot with speedy highway drives that gets reset every after full fuel pump.

    The MPG I get in the Northern US is very dependent on the temperature. In the summer months I get between 58-60 mpg. Whereas in the winter it's more like mid-40's.

      Yes, the Insight is very stingy with its EV mode when it thinks the engine is "Too Cold" which happens to me even if it's 78° outside.

      That’s about in mine 2020 Honda Insight Touring model hybrid and I going to keep it to my death Or last car. 47 to 50 mpg great gas mileage. But if you have a heavy foot trying to speed forget those numbers. I was driving through the Desert flat going like 10 mph over at 85- 90 miles per hour abouts you welll get like 35-37. Not bad but I really don’t think I we’ll do it again. Great car. Thanks 😊

    I have the 21 Hybrid. I drive 30 minutes to work and the same back home. I'm not getting good gas mileage...I'm new to the Honda as well as the Hybrid world. Any suggestions?

    • @stevenleonmusic
      @stevenleonmusic 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What is "not good" mileage? If you're getting somewhere between 35-40 MPG you're probably just driving very aggressively or you have a big hill to climb. The insight doesn't get much better mileage than a regular Civic if you're constantly accelerating fast, driving over 70 MPH or going up really steep hills. If you're driving it delicately in Eco mode on flat terrain and getting less than 45 MPG, you might want to take it in to the dealer.
