My son and I replaced our 2 Mazda 3's with cars in their class. We didn't consider the new generation of the Mazda 3, because they cut costs by switching from Independent Rear Suspension to Torsion Beam. We drove it and when pressed, the Torsion setup simply blows!
My son opted for the Honda Hatchback Sport. As for me, I struggled between the Toyota Hatchback v. Honda Insight v. Honda Civic Coupe EX. The Toyota just couldn't cut it in the power and especially the handling. I just thought the Coupe was more me and truly the most fun to drive. Since my next car will be fully autonomous, "fun to drive" on this car is #1.

I have a 2020 Insight EX - a super value for a well-made hybrid sedan that truly gets great MPG - ...EX trim has a great price point with even better mileage (smaller tires) than the Touring Trim - plus you still get all the tech and styling (just no leather seats) - and your buying a Honda ( P.S. - Port Injection - no direct injection issues! ),... I don't care what others may say, I'd still rather have a Honda (or Toyota) than any competing budget Hybrids from Hyundai, Kia, Ford, GM, etc.
