I guess my point is “Don’t ever live in someone else’s world where you feel out of place” create your own life and find something that truly motivates you and follow it! I really wish people I grew up with told me this, I definitely would be better off today thank you for reading this have a great day 👍
I find that when I start overthinking (like I think that's what you're doing), it's mostly a defense mechanism because I am scared, for some reason. My mind needs to find every way to fix this perceived threat, when actually just letting my silly little traumatized brain be is kinda the most effective thing.
The mind is such a fundamental part of the human anatomy! I only say this because I used to make myself miserable by thinking I had to do certain let’s say multiple things to keep myself occupied whether we’re talking eduction, friends theres more examples but for me I noticed I had a tendency to overthink and from doing that I find out very quickly I’m somewhere I don’t exist! Like I don’t fit in, nobody knows me, most people I grew up around aren’t even here I’m literally alone. I realise now I compromised for no apparent reason I wanted to stay where my presence wasn’t valued.
Great video. I used to feel this way when I was younger and just got out of high school, I spent so much time doing absolutely nothing… stressing out about my future. Just from my experience, you can’t worry about the future because what will happen is going to happen in time, if you’re in a place where you don’t know what to do exactly, I would take that time to enjoy your alone time and be present. That’s exactly what you’re supposed to be doing. Don’t listen to pressure of finding a career unless it’s something you truly enjoy. It means you have other passions that matter more. If you can’t figure it out yet then just figure out more about yourself while you’re young, a lot of young people go through this, so did I. I’m not saying to do nothing and be unsuccessful, but take it easy on yourself because everyone’s path is different! One day you will meet somebody, possibly get married before you know and this phase of life will be gone. Or you might figure out you want to go to school for your passions later down the road. I hope this helped from my perspective! :) The answer is really no if you have no answer, but I would follow my passions and allow that to guide you into learning what you want out of life, take risks you’re passionate about, and that’s what matters!
Seek truth and real beauty wherever it leads Don't fall for politically correct or comforting myths It's very hard to do but then you will be a wise woman (happy? I don't know, but we should not seek happiness in my opinion)
A friend of mine told me the exact same thing a couple days ago.... If u can't decide, stop and get away from making the decision, go and do other shit u sure of, when the right time comes u won't even be needing to make a decision u'll just be living and it'll happen
I've found that 'happiness' and 'what you do' are only loosely correlated. Happiness is more a function of health, integrity, presence (seeing your thoughts and emotions as an observer, rather than being identified with them), having a positive vision for the future, and moving towards it. This has lead me to focus on where I can make the biggest positive impact, while treating my well-being as a largely orthogonal process, and I've never been indecisive or not known what to do when following this framework.
Focus on health; it’s the foundation everything depends on. A healthy mind will gift you clarity. Invest time in learning about nutritional science, human biology, and physical education. Master your body and take control of it. Start with simple actions: drink enough water, do various exercises (not just running), and consider daily supplements like cocoa, virgin olive oil, Himalayan salt, and honey. Use a variety of spices when cooking. Avoid foods and drinks with added sugar. Ensure you’re not in a calorie deficit, eat enough protein, and get enough electrolytes, especially if exercising.
i understand your point. maybe if none of the two options seem like the right way to go, then neither of them is the way to go. But, having made some difficult decisions in my life i have a different take on this: i think there is no such thing as a right or wrong decision. i think there are just decisions. think about this even if you plan it right it might just as well go to shit anyways. to say that a decision is wrong or right is a future perspective on a past action and at the time you made that decision you didn't have access to that perspective. I think to expect from ourselves to make all the "right" decisions and to be able to predict what decisions will guarantee the right outcome is just not fair for us as humans. I don't think that its possible. those decisions require some sort of a risk in them and that is okay, everyone who made it in life didn't know all along that their decisions were going to turn out great but they kept pushing somehow. I think in order to be able to make those tough decisions we need to free ourselves from the burden of being afraid from making the wrong decision or having to make the best decision and just picking the path that we want right now. And even if we fail, its not the end of the world. I think I a huge problem with our youth is that we put the heavy weight on ourselves on having to have everything figured out early, and having to know exactly which career to be in. but we need to understand that most of us haven't really explored the fields of the world. its okay to take sometime to explore the kinds of fields that you are interested in and to see what really sparks your interest before making that decision. sorry for the long comment, I hope it helped.
What happened to the video of the script that got you accepted into film school I think it was? I had that saved to watch later, was looking forward to it 😅 gutted, missed the boat. I'll watch this video laters 🙌🏻
Have you read the short story Death of ivan illych by Leo Tolstoy? A spiritual classic as wise and insightful as any ancient eastern text. So i heard from a buddhist monk on a live stream, i read the thing and was blown. I believe it will give you the perspective you're seeking, Story's about a man who works extremely hard to do everything correctly in terms of his career, promotion, financial success, even creating a secure and beautiful home for him and his family. Ultimately, this was all a betrayal of his own soul though,as we see on his deathbed where he finally gets IT. What does it profit a man, etc...yeah, how trite, you might think. But, really its the way Tolstoy tells it, the slant, thats gives the story a power that, tbh, left me reeling
If IT makes YOU Happy Do IT! If it Doesn't Don't! I just wanna be happy But if i keep on doing the things that keep on bringing me pain( song Lyrics )kirk franklin- lol - i know - YOU know that Song - Coincidence - i think not
Are you considering certain options because you're "supposed to" or because you think they are truly good? Should you not make it your focus to do what is morally right?
I relate a lot to what you say on your videos, I wonder if you may be a undiagnosed person with BPD. I say that because I was diagnosed with it August of the Last year. Knowing it and having a therapist helping your can really improve your life and self-image.
May the all encompassing moment become us, Bailey! I've had a rather indecisive day today, too So I just rested and let my unconscious mind go wild. Looking outside, today had the same windy nature to it. Clouds formed like the framework of a dream, and just as suddenly melted like Summer snow. One minute it was glowing with bright Sun; the next bustling with ominous gobs of grey clouds. Time slipped away, like the smokestack of a passing ship in the distance. Dinner bells clamored, "Here and now, boys." - With the decisive speed of a Peregrine Falcon I swooped under the covers and closed my eyes. I'm more of a night owl! 🦉 "Hoo hoo are you? I'd really like to know!" Please keep up on keeping on with the thought pro-voking-vlogs, Miss Bailey! PS: Your "caw-caw" had a distinct Christopher Walken-more like flyen-sound.
why i am here ? anyway i m from the futur choose a carrer that conserve your (Work-Life) balance , certain jobs like IT requires you to leave your city (where you grow up) ,to pass 25 years in another city (where nobody you know and with different culture), so this is the most important your well being in life see what your city offer as jobs.
I would suggest doing jobs that produce goods not services it is easier to not having an existential crisis when your contribution to reality is obvious. when it comes to hobby burnout I would suggest actively avoiding the hobby to cultivate a desire for the hobby not sure if it works though I've only been practicing it for under a week

Hmm, you have to understand life itself, is meaningless. Sometimes, you just have to act like your cat or your dog..chasing after cars. You just do things, doesn't have to be a reason. Given your age and that you have time, your highest probability of long-term financial success is to consistently buy any combination of the following ETFs for 20 years in a brokerage account and reinvest all dividends: VOO, SCHD, SCHG, VT In your 401k, always put 100% into the S&P 500 fund. When the market goes down, keep buying. Any dip won't matter in 5 years.
If you are looking for answers you might want to look into autism/adhd perhaps? Worst case scenario it’s a dead end and you aren’t either. Some people don’t want to know, which is totally fine too. In any case I wish you all the best.
maybe...you should try stand up comedy and work out your questions on stage, and if you bomb one night, you play music as a hobby to feel better, maybe make a single, if it goes well great, but the strength of character you learn from an open mic night will help clarify your self image and reveal what you want by just making people laugh by asking them the questions, yeah? Who knows you might combine music and stand up, seen boys and girls do it, doesn't seem out of your league...
