Love too see you doing watch reviews. Been a while since I’ve watched your channel. Great choice in the Seiko Sumo. A little large but a tough watch. I’d love to send in my PO2500 for review. My favorite dive watch period.
I just ordered this! I have a black faced new turtle on a Strapcode Super Engineer II. What brand and model comes next?? I'm looking to expand my watch collection and im wondering if i should get another Seiko or a different model. What do you think?? Cheers
Maybe something “everyday sports,” like a Seiko SARB033, Longines Conquest VHP, Hamilton Khaki. Or if you’re just into divers, check out the Citizen Promaster FUGU.
@TheApostleP I'm just trying to build an enjoyable and respectable/good conversational collection. I have Hinderer knives, I'm looking for the Konig Arius version of a watch. Not custom and stupid expensive... just a step above the Hinderer/Seiko Turtle or Seiko Sumo watch. :) Thanks for your input!!
there is no lumi marker on 3 oclock position. Mine has it. is it because of it is not 70 hour reserved one ? is it 01b0 ? it writes on 6 position. is it possible that it is fake ?
Definitely not a fake. This was a very early production model though. I have noticed later examples do have the small lumed marker at 3. But it is the 6R35 movement with the 70-hour power reserve.
I believe the ISO standard for “Diver’s” watches was revised a couple of years ago, and the addition of the 3:00 lume was one of the changes in the standard.
@@srandaish No issues, it keeps time around -1 seconds. Obviously YMMV with this movement. I would just say the bracelet needs to be upgraded and I’m going to replace the bezel with a ceramic after market, it’s a great watch for the money,
Does the crafter blue strap pinch the side of your wrist also? I have around 7.5 and the length is just fits. Also marks the heck outta tge outside of my wrist. I guess people with smaller rounded wrists have no issues??
@@srandaish I sold it because I’m tired of large heavy watches. But it wears well for a 45 mm. No issues but the aluminum bezel will scratch. I want sapphire or ceramic in the future.
Crafter blue. Works nicely i.m.o. unless u have larger wrists like me 7.5 inch wrist. Because of the curvature the strap marks the hell outta wrist on sides.
Seriously? 1st I watched you yrs ago with knife sharpening now with watches. U r awesome. God bless.
Lol. I was watching this video and thought...I recognize his voice, Oh yeah I know him! My knife guy
the best review on Sumo, much much better than BW 'S and RR's they sound very much commercialized, keep it up sir pls make more videos
I love seeing your watch reviews! Thanks
This must be one of the best reviews of the Sumo. Thanks ! You should do more watch reviews.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who forgets to read the time on the watch because I'm staring at it
Me too, I have the 2023 version bought a few days ago and I'm sooo happy with it. I can't stop staring at its beauty lol
Ive had one for about 10yrs. To me , from the side. This watch looks like the space ships in the original War of the Worlds Movie. Which is very cool.
I just found your channel, but you do an excellent job covering very small details!
It’s absolutely stunning.

Got the same watch. Can you send me the link where I can buy the strap? Thank you 🙂
Love your review. where did you get the rubber strap?
Great review. Just ordered one and a crafter blue. Black strap green dial.
I have the blue coral version. Love the watch

Great job losing the weight...you've added years and energy. Nice looking watch too.
nutnfancy Thanks Nutn! It’s an honor to hear from you. I’ll thank Campfiretalk for putting you up to it 😉
@@TheApostleP did the Hodinkee edition come in a special box? I just bought this watch and I agree with you, it's a stunner.
Cool! I own the same watch in black.
Are u happy with it ? Any issues
