Washer Screeching Sound Fix! - Easy Fix And Calibration Steps | Josh Cobb

In this video, I'll show you how to fix a Whirlpool washer that's making a scraping or screeching sound during operation. This is a common problem that can be easily fixed by removing the plastic guard and lubricating the belt.
Remember to unplug your appliances from power and shut off any water before attempting any repairs. My videos are for entertainment purposes only and are not to be taken as repair advice. Please consult a certified appliance repair technician if you are uncomfortable doing DIY work on your appliances. Proceed at your own risk.
This issue is best fixed by removing the plastic cover on the bottom that covers the belt. I like to take the belt off, clean it and the pulleys, lube it with some spray belt lube and put the belt back on. It’s also super important to go ahead and recalibrate the machine, which I show how to do in the video. Easy fix!

Just a standard bottle of belt conditioner, you can buy this at any hardware store or auto parts store. Walmart sells it too. Belt conditioner, not lubricant.
