Man THREATENS me with a GUN when I wouldn't COMPLY with his REQUEST
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 4 ก.ย. 2024
- I saw this crazy overgrown lawn and that the next door neighbors were outside and thought I would stop to see if they knew anything about it. Well, something happened that I’ve never experienced before. When I hopped out of my truck to go talk to them, one of the guys pulled me away from the others and told me he knew everything about the house. He then told me that I had to give him a ride to the Walmart down the street if I wanted any information. He was being pretty aggressive and I felt really uncomfortable with the whole situation so I kept trying to leave. But, every time I got close to my truck doors, he would get just as close so that I couldn’t get in without getting in himself. As I was trying to walk around to get in the driver’s side door, he told me that he had a gun in his pocket. In that moment I didn’t really know what to do, especially since Mrs. SB was in the truck. Luckily, a neighbor from across the street recognized me from my videos and came out to help. While he was distracted, I hopped in my truck and drove off. Later I came back to talk to the other neighbor to thank him and ended up taking care of the overgrown lawn. So be sure to stay til the very end of this video to see the awesome before and after shots.

I love how you kept cool and calm in a very awkward possibly dangerous situation! Thank God for the neighbor that knew who you were and tried to intervene! I pray God's blessings and protection over you!
That is scary. I am glad all turned out well. Please be safe!
Spencer I'm not trying to be funny, but it looked like you were moving EXTRA fast that day. 😅 And I don't blame you one bit. 😅 SBMowing out for real!!
I really hope that you show this video to the Local Police.
Done! I gotcha , Spencer! Thank you! 😊
Imagine looking out of your window and seeing a TH-camr you know out front. Then you realize said TH-camr is talking to "That Guy" from across the street.

Hey neighbor from across the street. Thank you for stepping in. It takes some guts in this day and age.
Agree! Thank you so much neighbor across the street -- and a subscriber to boot!!!
That was a young family too.
Guts... 😂 He knows the fella that asked for the ride wasn't going to do anything.
@@Pure_KodiakWILD_Powersome folks never had to deal with the drunk or otherwise drug addled uncles that always be demanding rides etc lol and it shows
Right. Absolutely shook. I hope he never has to face a real threat out there, bringing out his wife to get content in strange neighborhoods.
That woman was trying to warn you without riling him up. "You don't know them." "It aint got nothing to do with that house."
I noticed that too but, it's too subtle if you don't already know.
Exactly.
@@XavierShade Yeah, when you've lived around people like that you wise up to what's going on. Poor Spencer had no idea what he was walking up to with that guy.
I agree
I'm sorry she has to live with that. I'm so happy he was able to get out of there safely.
That guy is probably the reason the city doesn't send people out there.
I reckon youve hit the nail on the head there
That interaction legit gave me anxiety. 😮 Thank goodness for the "he's your guy for yards" neighbor. 😄

That was disturbing, dude. 😭 thank god for that neighbor who helped you just in time. No wonder that house was abandoned.
The lady sitting there tried to help him as well. She was subtle, maybe for her own safety 😢
The neighbor dude was very cool showing the courage and fortitude of defending and putting his welfare on the line for you....Bravo 👏👏
Who knew mowing lawns for free was life threatening....
Yeah, this world is screwed up
Whether or not the threat was credible, it was still a threat. I'd call the local PD on a non-emergency line, have a chat with them about the incident, and ask if I could send them the video. Maybe (probably) there's some history on him, maybe they want to have a chat with him, maybe not. But nobody has to put up with that.

What a sad little house and yard!! It looks so much better now Spencerŕ!! Sorry you had to put up with the unsavory neighbpr!!
That was scary. Play it safe always.

im glad that guy didn't come for round 2 debate while you're mowing 😭
Those neighbors were super sketchy they were acting weird the whole time you were working, thank goodness you were safe. Another great transformation SB
Yea.... Was wondering why there were so many NPCs hanging around in your video this time round. 😂 But it's quite disturbing as usually most people will just stay in their houses.
They're deadbeats. The one in blue just stood in one spot for way too long. Makes me grateful for my neighbors.
They are all drunks and are meth dealers. The police will not do anything about them
@@spawnofstevethey own their house. Not deadbeats. They are all drunks n on meth.
The fact that he mentioned he had a gun in his pocket was enough of a threat to me to have someone else there for your protection.
Oh brother.

Be your own protection. Also make sure Mrs. SB can protect you, and herself, as well. Love your content.👍
Should Spencer have called the cops?
@@thomasluby1754 Yes, the police need to know what is going on with those neighbors. A gun threat should always be taken seriously!
Thumbs up to the neighbor guy across the street, helping to diffuse the situation. 👍
That drunk didn’t want to go to Walmart. He wanted to go to the liquor store. Glad you & Mrs. SB left there and are safe. But you went back. The property looks amazing now. 😊
That was my first thought - must be a liquor store beside Walmart.
Kinda looks like he was on drugs too
Yeah he went back...I thought the same, there must be more people in need of there yards getting done. Than risking your life for a you tube video.
I couldn't help up notice the neighbors watching you and it was creeping me out! Thanks for doing such a great job. You're a good man, Spencer.
Wow! That beginning was scary! Another great job, Spencer!!
The neighbor said he's known for asking people for a ride, probably to get another drink that he didn't need. But for him to threaten to have a gun to get that ride, is disturbing.
Great job as usual!
He probably about to go ask for gas money too 😂
There’s also a lot of mention that the guy probably had dementia or alzheimer’s disease
That happened to me when twice I lived in New Orleans - it must be a thing?
It's so he can get in your car, then rob you. Commonly used tactic
First off...I'm not really sure he actually had a gun in his pocket, but still...you gotta treat it as a legit threat. That's just plain wrong.
Another terrific transformation. Please be careful out there! Please don't put yourself in danger.
Try saying something like that in an airport.
@@scottodonnell7121 It would mean immediate detainment and missing your flight.....a permanent spot on the no fly list.
I would have told him so do I now what???
@@LyleFrancisDelp Imagine if someone try saying something like that at an airport or at a bus stop. At an airport it would mean immediate detainment and not being allowed to board your plane and a permanent spot on the no fly list and for a bus stop it would mean I would imagine being denied boarding any form of public transportation
That start was a harrowing experience. You handled that well. Keep safe bro.
That front grass was tall enough for a person to hide in.
Amazing as always!
The guy was drunk! You handled that respectfully, Spencer.
I don’t think so. He acted like he has dementia. Gentle but firm is the way to handle that. Just like SB and the neighbor did.
Yeah, seemed like genuine mental issues. (Probably combined with substances)
People saying he’s drunk or has dementia in these comments have never been around pill heads. This man is strung out and has been for so much of his life that he’s able to still half way function while being strung out.
Spencer's morning checklist:
Camera = Check
Mower = Check
Bullet-proof vest = er, what? oh right = from now on, Check
Stay safe out there man, you are too nice a guy to lose....
I just found another guy @nathanslawnsandgardens he’s very good
I think he has enough tools to protect him! 😂 Never mess with tradesmen or catering staff - they always have their sharp weapons at hand! Speaking from experience by my dad , he was a chef and a diy -er his nickname was the ‘butcher of Baghdad’ cos he had a wonderful meaty mustache! Bless his soul! ❤
Imagine a dude literally comes in to clean your neighborhood up for free and you decide to try to grift and threaten him. So glad someone else recognized you and helped.
Always listen to your inner voice. It will keep you safe. If the neighbors are as these are. Don’t stop. Just keep moving. You’re more important than an over grown yard. We want you and Mrs SB mowing safe always.
Imagine bringing your wife to the hood without a ccw and some street smarts.
@@kratostomatoes8587 Agreed, this was really naive of Spencer. Really hope someone IRL shows him how dumb this was.

When you have that gut feeling, GET OUT OF THERE!!😢
It seems sketchy with all the cars stopping by next door. If you feel uncomfortable, leave, don't stick around your life is more important than making a video.
Definitely some drug dealing going on! The police can use this video to identify those cars!

Too many adult male living in the house, sitting around. 😮
Agree, very sketchy and with asking so many questions. What are they trying to hide? You would think they would be happy to see it cleaned up for the neighborhood..great job Spencer❤
I’ve read over half of the comments so far. Yes, it was sketchy as heck, especially with a guy stating he had a gun in his pocket. People & cars coming and going for hours, able-bodied men hanging around, asking how much longer he’ll be there, is extra help arriving, when he’ll be gone….C’mon, folks…..Spencer’s presence was cutting in on their ability to conduct ‘business’ with their customers - especially with a camera recording everything. This is a very dangerous neighborhood to live in.
That was super scary. Glad you were recognised and the neighbour a crossed the road came to both your aid.
That guy would still be drunk if he didn't drink anything for 2 weeks
Dude, probably drinks bud ice
Wow, I am impressed that you went back, after that awkward interaction with the neighber who said he had a gun in his pocket. Great work!
This is what a real man is. Helping his neighbors just because it's the right thing to do. He deserves a huge amount of praise and credit for this.
Spencer, your safety is key. Please don’t go back to places like that when your safety is at risk. Does look much better, maybe doing the occupied house next door would have been safer, I’d bet they’d have watched out for you.
You handled the neighbour really well. Direct and respectful. 👏
Thank you 'neighbor' for showing up when you did. ❤

As someone from Los Angeles, where even the tiniest house is super expensive, I'm always amazed that there can be abandoned houses. This house would be such a great space if it were taken care of.
@@steelehere1No matter where you live, there is always one neighbor that makes things weird or troublesome.
@@paulettek3682 Good fences make good neighbors 😉
It just goes to show how much things vary from place to place. That said, just because it's vacant doesn't mean it isn't owned. A lot of these vacant properties are owned by someone who's had to move into a nursing home on Medicaid. They keep the property because although they *could* sell it, that would convert it into a countable asset, which counts against them when calculating their eligibility for Medicaid. They can't rent it out either, since the rental income would count against them. The best thing for them would probably be to sell the house and move into a retirement community, but that's excruciatingly expensive; for a lot of seniors, it's far more affordable to instead go on Medicaid and go into a nursing home -- which costs a hell of a lot more in reality, but Medicaid will pay for nursing home care once you're indigent. It's not a good system, but it ends up being what a lot of people resort to once they're no longer physically able to manage their own care in their homes.
That neighbor is a definite point for not being sold.
It’s probably available for purchase.
Glad that you and Mrs. SB were safe. Nice work today. Not a corner lot!!!

Oh, this brought back some memories. I lived for a while in a neighborhood where there a lot of people who were down on their luck. Getting weird, dumb requests from people I didn't know got old. The worst were the ones who acted like I owed them a favor right from the start. But then there were a lot of refreshing and uplifting neighbors like the young guy across the street. Friendly, with a handshake and a smile. Those were folks that made living there worthwhile.
Down on their luck? More like lazy & don’t want to work. Just about anyone can find some kind of work these days if they really want to work.
I had the same experience in my old neighborhood. Stayed 5 years and moved. Toddlers climbing over my fence and getting stuck and I had no idea where they lived to return them to their careless "parents". Kids crying on the corner because they missed the school bus. Rides to the store, borrowing money. It was just too much drama for me.

Not to mention illegal.... jailbait just waiting to happen
My guess is that it was hurting their "business" with him there recording the episode. I've lived in the ghetto. I've seen it many times. They like to put the bass on their cars so you know they're coming for your product. I have so many stories.
