Slight correction. The front seats only offer heating, not cooling. Otherwise, a fine review.

I don’t understand why manufacturers opt for looks and looks only by placing piano black plastic in high touch traffic areas. Get rid of the stuff.

my brother in law wants one but the wait time...as for CVT, this car does provide the option for "step mode shifting" via the gear lever which comes in handy when highway driving but in general the "e-cvt" for this Hyriid type works well enough in metro areas and heavy stop start CBD regions. as for the rest of the vehicle? its a Toyota.

I tend to believe base model cars hold more value than the upspec models. Second hand buyers look at two values. Mileage and age.

I just realised recently that the e-four 4wd hybrid has the larger fuel tank..43L compared to the 36L in the 2wd...weird choice to have different fuel tank sizes by Toyota

Yeah that is strange. In Australia the 2WD 2.0L petrol is listed with a 47L tank, while the hybrid e-four tank is 43L and the 2WD hybrid is 36L, as you said.
All offer a different overall range too (theoretical range based on average L/100):
      -2WD 2.0L: 783km
      -2WD hybrid: 878km
      -4WD hybrid: 935km

Love the red paint. Hopefully, this red is the same for the U.S. version. Looking at a 2024 XSE Hybrid model middle of next year. Giving Toyota lots of time to build one for me (U.S. versions are made in Alabama). Planning on actually going to dealership around late January (already bought a 2023 Camry from them).

UPDATE: I sat inside a 2024 Corolla Cross Hybrid and hated it! Glad I was able to at least sit in one. Cannot test drive, as each one coming into the dealers are sold. Felt cramped in the seat (narrow and less shoulder room than Hyundai's Kona). The dealer did say 3-month wait, so I can try again this summer; but also sat in a 2024 Kona Limited and loved it more.

You forgot to mention a a 2 tire price structure the RRP if you can wait 2 years or immediate delivery with a 10k mark up via a scalper

For these tyres? Ok, I didn’t realise that 👍

@@drivingenthusiastaustraliaRobert meant tier. Toyota dealers are notorious for pricing near new Toyota cars at a price point significantly higher than the new alternative.
