That was really fun to watch!! Some comments/answers:
- You did OK pronouncing my nickname. :) (It's a combination of StarFox + Zaxxon)
- Bosses not disappearing properly is a weird bug, the vertices modifications are not supposed to affect gameplay!
- I hadn't encountered the vertical lines bug, again I'm not sure how could this happen!
- The Tall Tall Mountain slide is indeed split in three sub-areas. Only one part is visible at a time and as you guessed they are loaded as you get through tunnels to hide that fact.
- It's possible that some models or parts are missing from the vertices list so they're not affected. The list was built from my old Super Mario 64 editor (Toad's Tool 64) which wasn't able to decode 100% of the models.
- You are right that larger models tend to be less affected by the randomness. My algorithm tries to compensate for this by guessing the model size but it's imperfect as models are often scaled by the game engine. You can adjust the "Scale" value in Randomario 64 to increase the randomness but its effect on smaller models may get too extreme.
Can you make it so that the vertices slowly move around to new random locations in real-time? Then it'd truly be trippy.

Billboarded textures like coins and King Bob-Omb are actually made with two polygons in the form of a square (and some things like particles are further simplified to a single triangle), so those two polygons can still be distorted.
now we need a version that does affect the hitbox and collision.
This is amazing! It's as if Picasso himself made a Mario 64 mod! Excellent work to Starxxon and to Tetra for bringing this to our attention!

I mean, it'd be pretty much a normal blindfold run, however, if the collisions and stuff were messed up as well... it'd be MORE insteresing

I mean it, whoever made this mod should do it to more games, even if they're limited to N64 titles. Imagine Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask like this... Or Mario Kart 64, which could be interesting as all the racers are sprites.

I love how relevant Super Mario 64 still is today even if it isn't always the way Nintendo wants it to be lol
someone PLEASE release a mod where the collision matches up with the distorted visuals 😩🤌
This is what SM64 looked like to me when I first saw it 10 years ago, guess it had the same effect as a sprite based game. The first time I see it I don't like how it looks, but the longer I look at it the more I start liking the visuals. Or that had something to do with the fact I played the DS remake first.
When you mentioned depth perception, I started to think what a ROM hack that specifically messes with depth perception would look like.
I love the chaos that's added to the art style . Looks so unique
