People complaing at Mario and Luigi's "new" designs, mind you, these WERE the OG designs they had in the concept art for the very first Mario & Luigi game (Superstar Saga).

Pretty insane how we got a Super Mario RPG remake, a Paper Mario TTYD remake, and a new Mario and Luigi game in the span of a year.

Yeah there are many RPGs, but nothing groundbreaking.
If you hate rpgs, don't play on a Japanese console. It's that simple.

As soon as the perspective in the Metroid trailer shifted to first-person, I felt two decades of excitement surge through me. I can't believe this is really happening
It's great to see Luigi's Mansion 2 get the HD treatment. I'd love to see other 3DS titles get it as well, like Samus Returns, Ocarina and Majora's Mask, Star Fox 64 3D, NSMB 2, etc.

This is by far my favorite Nintendo Switch direct so far, I’ve never seen so many games I’m excited in one direction; ESPECIALLY, The Legend of Zelda, Fairy Tail, Brothership, Jamboree, and Donkey Kong Returns HD.

I love the slight celshaded look of mario and luigi. It's just subtle enough for it to not draw attention to itself but bold enough for it to slightly alter the look of the Mario franchise

Hate me for it, but it's probably because it's just another entry in the "serious/artsy/pretentious platformer" genre--I bet the protagonist will be silent, the world is like this because of some apocalypse or something, and there'll be an unnecessary amount of deep, serious lore behind it that's largely irrelevant but that the niche fandom will memorize anyway. Looking good isn't special anymore, and especially in these types of games, having a somewhat unique artstyle that makes people go "ooh" and "ahh" is the standard.

The fact that this games just looks BEAUTIFUL too, just makes it so much better. I love how they kept to the same artstyle in the hand drawn sections of the game! It’s so faithful!

It actually really irritates me how everyone gushes over his manga/anime but his *massive* contributions to the JRPG genre is horrendously overlooked. Chrono Trigger is a masterpiece still considered among the greatest games ever made, and Dragon Quest literally birthed the JRPG genre altogether.
Now the real conundrum: Will we see a beautiful HD-2D Chrono Trigger remake? 😮

@@coreypayne9401 he birthed not just the jrpg genre, but rpgs as a whole! i say this because iirc dragon quest was a direct inspiration for dungeons and dragons, which then directly inspired rpgs!
@@cinnamoncat8950 Nah man. It’s the other way around. Dungeons and Dragons was created in the 1970’s by two American board game designers. D&D was the first RPG, all video game RPGs exist only because of it. Yuji Horii (creator of Dragon Quest) was a fan of D&D and early PC WRPG’s like Ultima and Wizardry, which directly inspired his series.
