I came up with a really bad meme speedrun: small pockets%. You have really small pockets, so you can't carry more than 3 moons at a time and you have to constantly deposit then into the Odyssey. I was originally thinking only 1 moon but then you'd need to make exceptions for multi moons, or do mincap strats to avoid the cascade multi moon.

Though I am just now realizing we'd also need exceptions for ruined and Bowser's kingdom (unless we find ways to skip those multi moons). Or we say that for ruined and bowser, you need two additional moons and pretend those specific multis are singles. (Ruined does have exactly two others before post-game)
I was also thinking maybe you have the encumbered thing like from Skyrim, so you also can't fast travel while holding a moon. In case this "category" wasn't already bad enough.

Hot take: Meme speedruns are just as legitimate as any other speedrun. The goals set by developers are just as arbitrary as their intended way of getting there.
in all dino% i was honestly expecting that for the 4th dino in metro you'd just have to take a capture of it with the capture button rather than capture it with cappy. shame that's not the goal

You'd have to enter like three sub-areas in Dark Side, it would be a Dark Side run basically. Edit: It's even worse. I forgot Yoshi is in DARKER SIDE.
I just thought about a way to make the run even faster. By killing Hariet in Sand Kingdom and then open the painting to morning metro, then doing the CRC glitch to the metro.

Makes me wonder if a "Trap Randomizer"(?) would be doable: Where everything LOOKS normal, but Moons, Coins & Purple Coins are Randomized, & enemies behave normally, but what enemy is what capture is Randomized. Quick theory. Perhaps you can save time by doing the Morning Metro CRC to knock out the Metro dino earlier, then go to wooded before lake and finish the run off there.

When I first played this game, I was 8 years old. When I accidentally fell into Deep Woods, I was so scared of the place, darkness, and the stomping that I tried to warp away, but it wouldn't warp. So I turned my game off and went back in to get out of Deep Woods.😂😂😂

All Dino% can be made very much faster. You go through sand, get the deep woods Dino, then go back to sand and do the crc to get the metro early. Removing lake, cloud, lost and night metro
