*Sorry!! We should of said this way before now…for me there is no other better way to look at how the golf swing works from driver, fairway woods, irons and all the way to pitching clubs*
I definitely hit my handicap target this summer… and then, just as I was hitting my stride, the weather decided to hit me back with a big ‘Nope!’ Living up north means my golf season now seems as short as my ability to jar my putts outside of six feet! (And let’s not even talk about the putts inside six feet-they’re on strike, too.) Thanks for all the free lessons, though! They’ve been gold, helping me rediscover all the things I learned 30 years ago on my college team…and promptly forgot! Now, if only you could whip up an anti-aging lesson, we’d be ready to take my game to the next level!
I have played 80’s which was my goal and two times hit 76 and 78 so I’ve hit my goal to break 80. Using this drill I hit a drive 275 yards, not bad for being 52 years old.
Love your videos. Really working on reversing the loop right now. Anything you could do with some more detail would be great. Been doing the figure eight/infinity loop with clubs and especially driver and it feels nice switching it up. But would love some more insight on how to start turning that into a normal swing. Thanks for the content
I didn’t hit my target. Started golfing about two years ago. Took to driver early and going into the end of the year was playing pretty well, a lot in thanks to your videos. But at some point this year I got all out of sorts and have been constantly tweaking and have myself all out of sorts. Hit driver horribly this year. Could get it down the fairway 240-280 pretty consistently before and can’t get one over 200 now. Slice them off the planet. Irons I get away with steep swing. My loop was definitely to the inside and over. Felt I was dropping my arms to fix it but was still over the top. Hoping the steeper take away and shallow downswing is the fix. Feels good so far but would like to translate it to a more practical swing with your help.
At age of 69 after 3 years of playing hit my target a few weeks ago of 18 handicap. All your videos are a great help but this one really simplifies some key points which im sure will help and that really is where the ball is positioned realative to your feet and body shape. I hit good low irons but struggle with amy hybrid so ive binned it. Is that a good idea? Lastly I often top the ball or hit it thick. I think its down to ball being a fraction forward in my stance. Any tips to help with this
My understanding is to keep your weight on led side , so you have solid contact on your bottom of the arc. Would this idea create more inconsistency, since the bottom of the arc would keep changing. Keep your weight still?
No I’ve only managed a couple of rounds this year due to ill health and was aiming to get out every Sunday to get a handicap and work on it from there. I’ve played golf from the age of 14 now in my 50’s wasn’t bad wasn’t great either 😂and I used to hold the club left over right long story short changed grip but still have that mental block of not being able to address the ball properly as it feels as though I’m using left handed clubs. I can drive well over 250 but sporadic as to where it’s going to land and las time out was like I’ve never seen a golf ball before with my iron shots
I may watch to many video but im finding it difficult to downitons, specifically what to do with my legs and knees. When to bend, what to bend, what to lift up etc. Infeel like i need to go down and then upnat the end but i just dont know.
No, I did not achieve my aims for this year. I wanted first to lower my handicap (range about 25 to 28) and second I wanted to hit my Driver up to 210/220 meters constantly … not achieved. I brought more consistence into my Driver but did not increase the distance. 😢
@ in regards to the Driver it seems I come either too far from out to in or too steep. My launch is not that good. Regarding my long irons & hybrids my hips are too slow or my arms are too fast (I assume the last one, I try to do it too fast, it feels like rushing. That is what I am working on.
I’m a little confused. You recently had videos showing when using your driver yo tilt a little to the left and point your left shoulder down towards the ball.
I blew my target out of the water in 2024. Granted, i started playing mid June. Scoring right around 100 at start. I wanted to average 90 and have one round at 85. Im now averaging 82-83 and my low score is 79.

i am sure we can come up with something haha! I feel some putting videos will really help you progress your golf game!
Great video so well explained I feel I don’t have enough spine tilt with my driver so will try this tomorrow at the range. Thank you!
Glad it helped
Great video. This is my second season playing and I hit my goal of breaking 100. Only did it once this season but I am aiming to do it consistently.
Love this, keep going 🤞🏼🙌🏼

Excellent work!!!
Awesome video Cheers

Wow... ❤
Great video
Thank you
Hi, it seems like a prior hitting the ball , everything is behind the ball for driver, but do we have to stand past the ball position post swing ?
Yeah that’s right

I did hit my target. My target was to have fun. I did!

What can I do to help you get your target next year?

@@AlexElliottGolf Thanks, but no matter what I try, I am swinging always out-to-in and slicing the ball. Maybe I should accept it …
How come in prior video , you indicated narrow stance but your driver and iron is much wider than 3 club heads in length ?
Hello Stephen these are all tips and tricks to help as many golfers as possible 👌🏼
Is there a prefer way that has more consistency?@@AlexElliottGolf
@@stephenchappell4953you really have to get lessons & find a coach who can help you move better
Sorry, not a huge amount to do with this video but does anyone know if Dechambeu also uses the same length Driver, Woods, Hybrids, Putter etc?
I’m a little confused. You recently had videos showing when using your driver yo tilt a little to the left and point your left shoulder down towards the ball.
Which video was this? We always want to keep tilted behind the video with driver. Let me know if you have any other questions
@ I’m referring to videos you posted 3 and 4 days ago about viewpoint and why you can’t hit your driver straight. Thanks.

Make that a 77 for a low score. Had my first eagle today. 2 birdies, 7 pars, 32 putts.
My biggest problem is I don't take a big enough of a backswing on driver
I would say! That might not be the end of the world. Let’s just make your efficient in what you do now!!
I think I have been setting up my irons like I should be setting up for a pitch shot. Ugh.
I Hope that this helps
I'm surprised it looks like your left foot is so flared. I don't think I could do that. Mess with my head.
I always do this as it really helps with my hips

Thank you ken!!
Sounds like you’re hitting it with a shovel. Lol
Does it?😂
Nope... still not scratch 😂
Not claiming you will be scratch haha
Why in your private lessons do you always say “step 1 is to buy vice golf balls”
Allegedly
Never said that 😂
now try it with obesity and bad knees
