  • Step by step instructions on how to perform a brake fluid flush on the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Same process is done on the Giulia. If you don’t have access to compressed air to operate a machine like this, they sell electric powered units on Amazon for about $400. No brake recalibrating necessary after this procedure.

    hi there... what you shared is just to flush brake fluid from the master ABS pump till each calipers. What about the brake fluid at the simulator (brake pedal) if it is needed? it is a brake-by-wire system and has 2 separate circuits. thks.

    Hello ,I have two questions.
    The 1st is - In the bleeding instructions, the sequence of the wheels in which it is done is different, why do you do it in the usual way?
    2nd - Can I use a vacuum brake bleeder?
    Thank you :)

    Hello, are there any differences for the QV model? Is is possible to do it with 15 psi? Thanks.

      No difference and I wouldn’t use 15 psi. Factory calls for 30 psi.

    Thank you for sharing knowledge! I have a question about my Stelvio 2.0 200hp from 2018, it has no MAF is this normal on some types or years (european car). And my engine take a long time to crank before it will start, further no problems or warnings on the dash that could be related at a bad battery… if you are interested i will place a video from starting at my page?

      Please post a video and I’ll give you my feedback. For the European market the missing maf could be normal.

      @@hycastro can you see the video, somethimes its even cranking longer, also with hot engine. Somethimes i thinks its the fuel pressure buildup that is to slow?

    • @hycastro
      @hycastro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you may have fuel pressure bleeding off somewhere. Could be a bad injector which wouldn’t surprise me.

    • @Jokesxxl
      @Jokesxxl ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hycastro yes that could be! If i start the cluster and wait for 5 seconds and than starting the engine it is much beter. Looks like the computer is starting to slow or something. What can i do? Adding fuel cleaner in the tank or?

    The service manual advises disconnecting the battery and putting the rear brake calipers in service mode …. Is all that necessary? As I believe on watching your method you didn’t do that.
    Please advise as I am about to do my giulia in the next few days.

    • @hycastro
      @hycastro  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not necessary because when you put the vehicle into service mode, all the car is doing is retracting the parking brake motor so you can service the brake pads. For a brake fluid flush, as long as the car remains off, and you have 30-35 psi pressure going to the brake fluid master cylinder you will be completely fine, just make sure you close all your brake caliper fittings before removing the line collecting fluid or else you will introduce air and then you will have a huge problem on your hands. If you don’t have this machine or something equivalent, I don’t advise doing the brake fluid bleeding.
