The version you picked is not just a "song", its a performance and a piece of art! I´ve heard it first in my early 20s and the drum solo blew me away! A few weeks later I´ve seen it on TV in the "Miami Vice"tv series and the implementation of a song into a scene of a tv series was the best I´ve ever seen because it really seemed to "fit" and both-the song and scene seemed to enhance each other. It somehow seemed as if the song was especially written for that scene and the scene was especially choreographed for that song.

Phil Collins is awesome and he has some drum solos that give me goosebumps all over. He truly has amazing talents on the drums among a unique voice that never gets old. I've been listening to him since he became the singer for the band "Genesis" back in the 70's. He is amazing at the drums.

Awesome voice... damn good drummer...
One of the best drummers in the world! Love Phil Collins.
When asked in an interview if he considered himself a singer or a drummer, he said a drummer. His base player talked on a video about working on an artists song with Phil and he talked about how happy Phil was just playing the drums as it was what he loved to do
One of the greatest drummers of all time and he can sing too.
I wasnt surprised! I was waiting for it to happen and see your reaction!! Phil Collins was the drummer in his band Genesis. Great drummer.
Same, you can also hear the audience start cheering when he moves towards the drums because they know what's coming 😉
Phil is a DRUMMER!!!
Great song. He was with Genesis from 1971. I first heard him in 72,when I was 10. Great song magnificent performance. Jovaughn knows his stuff.
The Concert is like 3 hours of straight wonderful songs, and then another 3 hours, of even more wonderful songs, and great energy. His Band Is The Best. This concert, and the one from Paris.
I love watching people discover this great artist! This one of the most epic songs ever! Class of 1988 here. When we walked off the graduation stage, we played this song. Whenever it plays on the radio, anyone that knows this song has to play air drums when he hits those drums! Glad you found this amazing artist!

He wanted you to feel it coming in the air tonight. loved the calming set up in the arena.
He has a really nice ballad called, "One More Night". The official video version, is really nice.
This song is 40 years old but DOES NOT GET OLD. I first heard it as a kid and continued listening ever since. Incredible stuff!
Love how the crowd gets excited as soon as he starts walking towards the drums. Of you really wanna see how great he is on the drums, search for his drum solo

The live version of this song is killer! The long build up to the first lyrics adds to the suspense of the song!
Primarilya percussionist at the beginning of his career. His drums are like Santana's guitar...unmistakable!
Phil Collins, you so have my respect!! What an amazing performance. I am proud to have grown up in such a time to hear and see such an awesome show.. God Bless!!
