- When Dinosaurs Invade Kislev, Tzar Boris and the War Bear Riders must ride out and meet them on Total War Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires. Kislev War Bear Riders are a great tool vs. Dinosaur, but will the Lizardmen Ripperdactyls and Saurus rush prove too much?

@@charlesman8722 lorewise yes, but they should realistically be mesotherms (somewhere between warm and cold blooded) like the dinosaurs are theorized to have been.

timing a regrowth and rev crystal at the same time is a fun Lizardmen tech that I’m surprised we don’t see. Since the rev crystal activates reviving models, and the regrowth is a BIG heal, you could see great effect on the Kolosodon Hunters by bringing them truly all the way back to full after they get some good initial attacks in.

Yeah this is the big problem Kislev have against lizardmen, mass Saurus, then on top of that you kinda wasted the AOE ability on Boris against those feral cold ones. It's pretty good against infantry imo. So many Saurus at the end lol

I absolutely adore my Rippers. Yes they drop low fast, but even at low health their model count is okay and they deal SERIOUS damage. I didn’t mind sacrificing clever girls to hold bear cav still for a moment, at 450 I didn’t mind them getting a little armor pierce onto bears. After that it was just spears chasing bears with some Ripper support and Rippers also making sure Streltzi have a bad time.

So much luring in the cavalry and other single entities from Kislev, so many check plays from the old ones. The map was one of those check plays. Dam that was really cheeky plays 😂😏
Where is the background music from? Indy used it in a cinematic battle compilation a while back but I can't find it in the WH3 OST.

Lizardmen vs Kislev is about as unfair matchup as you can get.

Kislev really needs some help, they're by far my favorite human faction but it's really sad seeing them struggle so hard
The dinosaurs get their vengeance on the ice age
This is my main Kislev build. Cut some chaff, add a Patriarch with healing to the bear blob, replace Boris with an Ice Witch and add a Dahz' Hearthblades with a foot Patriarch with the healing and vigour recharge/MA boost abilities and items and add a Guardian Call Snow Leopard summon as well as arcane conduit, and you have an army that counters almost any meta build at the moment. The Oathbrothers blob up the Large/armoured targets, while the Patriarch/Hearthblades DECIMATE any chaff and elite infantry on the field.
If anybody wants, Ill give my exact build and strategy. Ive been having about a 65% winrate, it really is a great build with great techs.

Had streltsi ripped a volley or two into the rippers during the approach it could have made the difference.
yeah i have trouble with them. hard to keep them online and shooting important stuff

Funny that real dinosaurs were warmblooded animals and many species lived north of the arctic circle. Likley kept warm by fur-like pico-feathers, or proper ones depending on the species
@@hangebza6625 During the parts of history dinosaurs were alive the earth was so uniformly warm that there were no polar ice caps, so "north of the Arctic circle" is a meaningless distinction

The dinosaurs were alive for more than a 150million years and have had many instances where artic climates existed.
Especially in the Cretaceous.
@@orbitalbutt6757 nope it isn't. During the cretacous period the planet got colder than in the previous jurassic or the later paleocend/eocene. The poles were not frozen over as today, but winters with strong subzero temperatures were possible. And still dinosaurs lived there. Including such fellas as Nunaqsaurus, a Tyrannosaur.

Kislev does have melee specialist. They have Armoured Kossars for mid tier infantry with a ranged attack and Tzar Guard and Tzar Guard with Great weapons for elite infantry.
Cathay has the Dragon guard which are elite anti-large infantry who’s job isn’t to be the best killers but just to hold the line so Cathay’s missile troops can do the killing.

Do you set these battles up? I see no logical reason why the lizard men would have stacked 8 ground units around 2 snow leopards knowing you had heart of winter lol
you know the answer to that question. obviously I do not set up battles. people make mistakes, especially in MP against competent opponents
Lizard players love sending infantry hordes in to deal with any problem. It usually works out too lol
I’m the other guy and I promise Indy didn’t set up the game or my build lol. Plus shielded Saurus worked just fine!
