I'm a bit sad because I got a bunch of cool cinematic shots for the Ushabti and then just straight up forgot to edit them into the battle lol. But this was a fun one. With any luck, will have some big Team Battles, Subcommanders, and Southern Realms content over the next few days!
I know its hard to organise and maybe not as fun as other battle types but I used to love sub commanders and that love has been reignited seeing the IE new trailer. Amazing work as usual brother!
Sub commanders are awesome. I love the old order vs chaos battles he did in the past.

Figures. You train your whole life in the art of Russian Bear Riding to fight the demonic horrors from beyond the North and you wind up getting spat upon by a snake statue that appeared out of nowhere while you're trying to fight an army of skeletons wearing loincloths. The purple one keeps yelling about "Hag Ash" or something.
Watching the cav destroy the TK flank and then systematically free up other units/flanks is just so satisfying
Man, I do love that you cast your land battles; your analysis really shine in these. I hope you keep doing this more often. Also, interesting choice you took in covering the BoP... As a general rule you keep on looking at that bar to provide more context to the battle, but instead you rely on the commentary. Nice one.

Excellent land battle casting as always!
For me, Turin is the best domination caster, but for land battles you are the king.
Always going for fun, epic and thematic battles. Great shots of the units fighting and analysis of the whole battlefield.
When you're casting the land battles, we do feel your passion for both the total war game and the Warhammer fantasy!

I don't think I've truly appreciated the designs for the Tzar Guard until now, those unit models are absolutely fantastic from a thematic and artistic perspective.
they look sick, especially the Great Weapon variant. really cool unit

Beautiful army composition, the way the bear cav, war sleds, and winged lancers worked in tandem with each other was awesome. I also noticed you started blocking the balance bar which I appreciate, it makes the end of the battle more enjoyable to watch.
i could not say why, but that was one of the most fun battles to watch in recent times. Great play from both sides.
someone needs to rewrite a full version of "Winged Hussars" about Kislev
Noticed it with the SubCommander's video and here... the blocker for balance of power is nice to maintain suspense! Good decision to do so.

I feel like a Necrosphinx would've been very helpfull for the TK here.
A big anti large construct to deal with all the chariots and cav of Kislev would've come in real handy.
would definitely perform well against the Bear Cav. I'm generally underwhelmed by Necrosphinx's though, they're easy to kite, easy to shoot, easily get bogged down and overwhelmed in melee, and generally dont perform to the level I'd want or expect for their cost
@@milkandcookiesTW Yeah that's understandable, they suffer quite badly from what i like to call "big monster syndrome" in which they can be very good, as long as there are not many ranged enemies on the field.
The RoR does fare a lot better tho but is even more expensive
I don't know what total cost they went for here but seeing those armies I don't think you could justify a one unit so expensive and niche.
Sepulchral stalkers and spear skelly bois is fine. But he didn't protect them/recognize what was the threat enough/soon enough... also I don't get the spirit leech for the cav or going Arkhan for no reason (that's just me though)

An idea for videos. Do some full videos on the best units in the game, example: best ranged units, best infantry killing units, best large killing units etc. Keep going tho, love your videos!

I just want a Warhammer Musou game where you still have strategic elements and essentially the same campaign stuff, but the focus is on the direct combat with your Lord & Hero characters. It would be my absolute dream game...

The original OG TW land battles master! thanks for another great vid and with my Main no less, Kislev - honestly the best way to play Kislev is go small + elite, some spear archers are ok but Beats Bears & Tzar guard are the name of the game.

Hey I'm not indypride but I finally have the game running on pretty much full settings with great FPS (60-100 with rare dips below 60 - mostly vast skaven hordes) and manage to get these visuals at home. It's expensive but fun.
Just got the Ryzen 7 5800x3d (from 3700x) which gave a nice boost combined with RTX3080 10gb and 32gb RAM (probably not needed) running on 1440p. It's smooth at long last. I had WH2 running full throttle with the old CPU no problem, but 3 is hungry...
The CPU made a big difference since the then mighty card could not maintain fluid 60 on full settings. i still do not use screen space reflections on armor since it's barely noticeable and hogs FPS. Also, I play on Large units (since forever)

just trying out a new thing, make people focus more on the battle less on the balance bar. maybe keeps the suspense going a little longer

Yeah, bringing Arkhan without his skelly summon or his Liber Mortis was just _asking_ for trouble... the number of times those two items could've come in useful in this match, whether using the summon to stuff up cav charges or the shield to help with the blob fights...
Sure, I suppose there's something to be said for going cheap & wide; still, where certain lords are concerned, you sometimes need to remember... you get what you PAY for!

So while this was well done I do agree that kislive falls a little flat for me with units. It's why I think they should be the next game 3 faction to get a dlc
How do you manage to post those replays with this quality? I tried to put some collection of my replays, but they look a bit blurry while in game the image is quite clear.

Wouldn't Khallida been a better lord for TKs since they had so many Ushabti either way and no -stalkers- (I mean crypt horrors, that stuff, I never really play Arkhan) or anything like that?
Also just the spirit leech.
Which btw hurts a little to see be used on larger unit counts instead of single targets :p Bombardment or magic missile would be better for that (or buff/debuff) but I don't know for sure. Well, certain bombardments are *DEFINITELY* better against elite cav and monstruous units, than Spirit Leech.
Spirit Leech is good vs. monstrous cav and even regular cavalry, thats a good use for it. It doesn't just have to be just against single entities, and the Oath Brothers of Tor were a much bigger threat than Katarin to the TK army. Khalida is the worst MP legendary lord for Tomb Kings, Arkhan the Black with Spirit Leech is a "relatively" cheap value pick that will easily generate damage without much thought. Khalida would not have had a good time or done much of anything this game

I dont know if he is still using it but in other battles with the balance mod he used the ultimate lighting overhaul 2.0

It's a shame that ushabti aren't particularly great, they're one of the coolest units on the roster for sure.

I think because usually tells you who's gonna win the battle most of the times. So maybe it's to keep the tension going
