      There are many people out there who are critical of Lucas, the Botkin's, and T-Rex Arms... and yes, there ARE things to criticize about them, but the thing is, they (Lucas, the Botkin Family, & T-Rex Arms) have done a LOT of good work in advancing the cause of the 2A/Gun community, whether someone wants to admit that or not... and if we are to weather the storm of unprecedented attacks on our God-given 2A Rights - hell, not just weather the storm, but BATTLE IT and WIN!!! - then we need to UNITE, not divide!
      So, those of us that DO have criticisms of Lucas, the Botkin's, & T-Rex Arms (& yes, I myself, have some criticisms of them - though fairly minor) need to remember our 2A Rights are under attack like never before, and our enemy loves to use the "divide and conquer" tactic.
      Do you want to lose your 2A Rights?! I know I don't!
      Because arguing amongst ourselves, and allowing our anti-2A enemies to take advantage of our infighting, is the way to lose our 2A Rights.

    God damn this was a solid video, I’m an experienced shooter already and knew all of this but man do I wish I had access to this when I very first started to shoot. Trex arms is the only content creator to which I get excited when they put out a new video. It’s no bullshit straight to the point content. I wish other gun content creators used their followings as a platform to teach and were straight shooters like trex. I’m tired of the frat boy attitude of most gun tubers. I don’t have much respect for most people but I have a lot of respect for Lucas and his brother and their work ethic and moral compass.

    • @mcouture8169
      @mcouture8169 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Isn't it time that the 2A LARPers and the frat-boy firearm community mend their broken ways? After all, those frat-boys are the only ones who are really dropping $300 on Crye pants, while the LARPers ensure that the period mismatched camo gear stays cheap and abundant.

    • @relentlessamerican9373
      @relentlessamerican9373 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mcouture8169 I guess, I personally wore crye overseas. I don’t see why you wouldn’t buy crye if your serious about being a patriot. We are not civilians in this country, we are the people it’s what makes us different from other countries. Yeah hard core larpers and frat boys are annoying but some guys with no service just want to be the best they can be and prepared. So maybe we do away with the larpers. But what I’d a larper? I’m not going to discourage Americans from buying the best equipment money can buy. Crye precision by the way is worth the $300 the hold up and they don’t start smelling, you could wear them for months if you had too. I don’t like jokers or smart asses, if soemone takes their shit serious I don’t give a fuck what walk of life they come from. Americans were never suppose to be “civilians”
      “”it is the duty of a patriot to be armed and disciplined, to have sufficient arms and munitions to defend freedom from any who might seek to take it including their government.”” This is what the second amendment truly is.

    5 years in the military and I only shot a pistol two time with minimal instruction (lots of machine guns, the 110 and M4 but never pistols). I got out and realized the pistol is what I needed to master as it was what I would realistically be able to carry everyday. In the quest to find good instruction I found T-rex arms and their content. I wouldn't say I've mastered the pistol (or any other platform) as there's still much to learn and practice, but I can say I am very competent and confident where I hadn't been before. Big thank you to Lucas and everyone at T-rex arms for making great training content accessible and free to those who want to learn new skills or continue to hone old ones.

    I was at the range last week with a new AR that I've only had for a few months (side note: I'm in CA and it actually took 132 days from ordering the rifle to when it was ready for pick-up). I had put about 20 or so rounds through the rifle when I ended up getting a pretty nasty jam. Luckily, we had just started a line-break. The RM came down the firing line and noticed that I was struggling to fix the jam (had a few of these on previous visits). I handed him the rifle and he went to work trying to clear the jam. I noticed he was trying to remove the mag, but I let him know that it was a fixed mag. I'm pretty sure he knew, but maybe he was hoping it wasn't. He put the rifle down on the bench and walked away shaking his head. I thought he was mad at me. He walked over to his car which was parked nearby, opened his trunk and grabbed a small (cleaning) rod. He came back and resumed work on the jam. With a little effort and the use of the rod, (and me holding the rifle steady) we were able to clear the jammed round. We both let out a sigh of relief. He then looked me in the eye and said "fucking California!" We both had a good laugh. Then I thought, this is a rifle that I may need in an emergency...

    In case of a jam or malfunction, to clear a weapons malfunction in order to quickly and continually engage the enemy, the military called it "SPORTS."
    Slap, Pull, Observe, Release, Tap, and Shoot.
    First and foremost, before we conduct SPORTS, we always switch the lever back to safe.
    1. Perform immediate action.
    NOTE: If your rifle malfunctions, remember S-P-O-R-T-S. This keyword will help you remember these actions in sequence: Slap, Pull, Observe, Release, Tap, Shoot.
    a. Slap upward on the magazine to make sure it is properly seated.
    b. Pull the charging handle all the way back.
    c. Observe the ejection of the case or cartridge. Look into the chamber and check for obstructions.
    d. Release the charging handle to feed a new round in the chamber. Do not ride the charging handle.
    e. Tap the forward assist.
    f. Shoot. If the rifle still does not fire, inspect it to determine the cause of the stoppage or malfunction and take appropriate remedial action.
