I was at the range last week with a new AR that I've only had for a few months (side note: I'm in CA and it actually took 132 days from ordering the rifle to when it was ready for pick-up). I had put about 20 or so rounds through the rifle when I ended up getting a pretty nasty jam. Luckily, we had just started a line-break. The RM came down the firing line and noticed that I was struggling to fix the jam (had a few of these on previous visits). I handed him the rifle and he went to work trying to clear the jam. I noticed he was trying to remove the mag, but I let him know that it was a fixed mag. I'm pretty sure he knew, but maybe he was hoping it wasn't. He put the rifle down on the bench and walked away shaking his head. I thought he was mad at me. He walked over to his car which was parked nearby, opened his trunk and grabbed a small (cleaning) rod. He came back and resumed work on the jam. With a little effort and the use of the rod, (and me holding the rifle steady) we were able to clear the jammed round. We both let out a sigh of relief. He then looked me in the eye and said "fucking California!" We both had a good laugh. Then I thought, this is a rifle that I may need in an emergency...
@@spondoolie6450 Actually, I removed the Comp-Mag that it came with and am using the F.N.G.R. solution from MagLatch with a standard Lancer mag. It's pretty sweet. Takes me all of 2 minutes to convert from fixed-mag to non-fixed mag. By looking at it, you would never know that my AR is Cali-compliant 🙂
Finally able to buy my first rifle. I only wish there was a way to earn the privilege of shooting on your range. Love the breakdown to the basics, shows how easy it can be while others tend to over complicate it.
Clear, concise, and to the point. Very helpful for new gun owners.
Great video! Looking forward to showing new shooters this!
I love these instructional videos. You truly are a blessing for the 2A community. Thank you
Great video!! Thanks for helping bring more people to shooting and learning the right way. That intro was sweet too! Love it!
You’re kind of like my online instructor…!
Extremely helpful videos. Thank you.
Good stuff, the basics are the most important step. I think we all get caught up in the “this or that” rather than focusing on the fundamentals sometimes.
Your content is top shelf. For a newbie, I find this to be among the most grounded, well rounded, and FUDD proof material there is. Thanks so much. (And, your content made me a customer - bought my optics from you!)
I just needed this ! You first explanation on how to shoot pistol in 10 minutes was awesome, as this one!
Thank You very much ! :)
This may be the most helpful video you’ve made all year. And that’s saying a lot since your content is always 🔥. It’s the basics that being new people into the fold. And this is about as basic as it gets. Thanks again
thanks for the simple yet clear teaching vid. I learnt so much and appreciate your great educational approach
I feel like shooting a gun at the range is very therapeutic.
I got a .22 last year and my dad has an AR-15 but we still haven’t made it to my local range to shoot them.
Awesome video
You are really good at explaining things. I wish state basic instructors could just talk like that without babbling about themselves and bla bla bla accomplishments.
They all do that because even this comment section is full of brovets crying that lucas doesn't have qualifications to teach anything because he has not received a paycheck from the government.
@@blegi1245 instructors at our state level were so bad. Its like every state instructors is full on “Beards McOperator”, but state guys would be out of breath just touting their resume of having 3 weeks on the road before getting scared after getting their ass kicked in a physical fight. But some how Cardiac Jack gets a state pay check that is almost as fat as he is. Sorry. Ill get off my soap box now and check out more doorbell fart videos.
Great video. Thanks for having free support for training available.
You’ll are great thank you for all that you do!
Such a great basic rundown. Love it, sent it to several friends that want to buy AR-15s. I told them to watch this ASAP.
Very well done, simple and straightforward.
I like these videos and use them as a refresher course. Good to remind ourselves of the basics…
Thank you for all you do. You deserve all the success you have achieved
Solid value. Thank you for everything you and your team are doing!
I think a series where you take a person from non-shooter through the steps to competent shooter would be a good watch. Plus maybe a solid foundation for a beginner! I liked the fact proper terminology was used throughout the video! Good stuff!
Congratulations! you have been selected among my few selected giveaway winners message the above number for more information.........🎁
Every time thank you Lucas, very needed information.
I was just studying how to properly shoot with a rifle, carbine properly. Perfect timing Lucas!
Thanks Lucas, I’ve been practicing with my dad’s AR15, both dry firing and going to the range, my accuracy has significantly improved, continuing to practice will help me with my training
Thank you! This video was just exactly what i was looking for, thank you for helping someone who doesn't know anything about my new rifle learn the basics
It's a pleasure to see you in action, teaching the basics and dispelling all the tactards myths, keep up the good work, us common folk appreciate your great work.
Its so crazy people doesnt no the bare fundamentals of a firearm but Lucas u do a great job teaching the new gun owners in the country brother
7:58 “fully seated their rifle in the magazine well” lol
I always have issue seating a new rifle into my magwell. Need a lot of effort to get it seated securely.
Controversial, innovative, educational, unwavering high-standards and proud Americans. Can't get any better than that.
I dont usually comment on videos, but just wanted to thank you for all the amazing free education you provide on you channel
Thank you Lucas. As always your videos are 🔥 🔥 🔥.
Awesome video. Good for beginners and a reminder for the experienced. Fundamentals. Awesome, Lucas.
Legit just bought some items from TREX ARMS just to support them. Keep up the good fight! Glad to be a fellow Tennessean!
Thank you for your support!
All long time subscribers remeber the good old bcm 13,7". I bet that thing has 25k rounds through it. Great video Trex
That was the first thing I noticed. Old faithful.
@@Bigboi23847 I think his early videos made the 13,7" cut more common
Trex arms actively defudding America. Love to see it
I was at the range last week with a new AR that I've only had for a few months (side note: I'm in CA and it actually took 132 days from ordering the rifle to when it was ready for pick-up). Then I thought, this is a rifle that I may need in an emergency...
ouch. personally id just go for a straight pull AR or a mini-14 (or a fightlite scr if they ever restock)
wait.... in California they make you weld the mag to the firearm?
@@spondoolie6450 Actually, I removed the Comp-Mag that it came with and am using the F.N.G.R. solution from MagLatch with a standard Lancer mag. It's pretty sweet. Takes me all of 2 minutes to convert from fixed-mag to non-fixed mag. By looking at it, you would never know that my AR is Cali-compliant 🙂
Finally able to buy my first rifle. I only wish there was a way to earn the privilege of shooting on your range. My 5 acres I own contain my wife’s horses, and she would rather not have them sharing a shooting range… 😅
I moved to TN about a year and a half ago, and in that time have been watching many of your videos. I’ve been around firearms all my life, but your video are insanely informative, and very entertaining. They have helped me to select the firearms I’ve gotten, and helped me to learn many things, including the intricacies of daily carry. Thanks guys, keep up the great work.
I used to watch T.REX ARMS to get better at playing airsoft. Now I watch to get better at shooting.
Welcome to the community! I'd be interested in doing some Air Soft to get better at shooting in complex environments, communicating in teams and running objectives/missions to test my own abilities and learn.
There were two major events in New Mexico just recently I had no idea about. I believe MilSpec Mojo, Garand Thumb and others were at those events.
Welcome aboard.
Just got my first AR 15 thank you much this video really helped me out.
It doesn't take me anywhere near 10 minutes to shoot my rifle.
Takes me 30
Fucking gold.
Lol to the top
No but you keep missing the mark don’t you
Well obviously it doesn’t take mins to shoot duh, shooting it and explaining the process are 2 different things amigo.
Solid advise from the #1 airsofter.
Muzzle flagging is going to happen at some point I'm glad Lucas addressed that
Who elses heart rate rises when Lucas breaks out the AK? Love it. Great vid on not only how to shoot but more importantly safety.
