    I always look forward to your videos and tutorials. (No yelling, giggling, etc.😊 just great content). If you’re looking for a “teaching moment “, could you explain pooling, how to recognize it, then when and how to alternate skeins? Thanks so much, Diedra

      Thanks so much Diedra for the lovely comments. That is such a good topic with pooling. I might have to do a bit research and open that up to discussion as it isn’t something I have expert knowledge in. But it is a good topic of discussion and I can certainly share from my experience. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. :)

    I can see the struggle with the Sorrel - great new yarn colour to fix the problem. Thank goodness you have help to frog some of it- the mohair can be tricky to unwind. Love you wool dress, so versatile. Also what a beautiful yarn you purchased... take the last skein, it will give you more options in the future. I just ordered from Convent and church Hand Maiden Superkid silk mohair ( amethyst) to spruce up a purple with this amazing colour. Happy crafty adventures for your holidays...

    Loved catching up with your WIPs, I expect you have already unpicked your sorrel but if you haven’t I have heard that people put mohair in the freezer and unpicking is so much easier, love the new colour you are adding, it did make me laugh when you described it as swampy. I would not mend all the holes you found in the socks, there are just too many, but agree not just to throw them but to find a use for them, the boot holders sound really good, whilst sitting here thinking about my boots folded in half in my wardrobe lol. Have a good week relaxing a bit and getting some knitting done ❤

      Thanks so much Carol. I actually havent unpicked the Sorrel yet as I decided to finish the first sleeve before unraveling so i didnt have 6 balls hanging off the project. I'll get this sleeve done as quickly as i can so that the yarn hopefully doesnt settle in for too long. Thank you for the freezer tip. I will definitely do that before i unravel. Have a great week. :)

    Hi Tash, thanks for another informative, inspiring video. I had to laugh at the way you described what was going on with your Sorrell and the swampy colour, not that Im in any way laughing at your misfortunate, but, your delivery was really funny 😄. I hope the next colour works for you, the first 2 thirds is soft and gorgeous! Your Grey dress is just beautiful!! It looks so efforlessly classic and edgy with your boots. You've got me 3/4 convinced to make a Felix, I love the holes in the raglan sleeve. Im about 1/3 of the way through the second colour on my Half and half wrap...Im concentrating on it only, but seeing all your wips is making me long for "something else" on my needles, that said the H & H wrap is such a HUGE project I think the only way to finish it is to stay faithful to it. How good is Alone!!! I wont give you any spoilers, but, it just gets better and better. I love the glimpse into our humanity that it exposes. Have a great week!

    I stopped mending socks (mostly). Even though it takes longer to knit a new pair, it’s just more enjoyable. You look so good in your lovely knitted dresses. I really like having multiple wips. My Soho Top grows so slowly (garter stitch) that I have to cast on another top to switch to.That will make only 5 wips.

    • @mostlyknitting
      @mostlyknitting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Hilda, I understand. I dont mind the mending process, but this just does feel a bit too much effort for the reward. 5 WIPs is pretty good. I am really trying to get my active WIP number down. :)

    Hallo Tash! I’m in love with your Sorrel! Forgive me but I missed the fact that the kal is more about Petiteknits patterns and projects you make or mentioned😄. Thanks for sharing though! I’m a little stuck with my dotted rays anyway… Did not expect it to use so much more yarn for the growing wedges🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @mostlyknitting
      @mostlyknitting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Adele, The KAL is really meant to be inclusive and for people to share what they are making. I felt like it might be helpful to create some structure to it but really, there are no hard and fast rules. I mostly want to see what others are making. That is a shame about your Dotted Rays. I find it really frustrating to stall in a knitting project. Hope you can find a way through.

    Hi Tash. I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of months now and have enjoyed listening to you talk about all your projects while I knit. 😊 I’m also knitting the Cummulus T. While you are concerned that yours is too big, I’m concerned that mine may be a little snug at the under arm so I thought I would block it before I rip it back and extend the raglan. I’ve never done this before so I’m intrigued to know how you block your items while you’re still knitting them - a quick tutorial on the best way/your preferred method would be hugely appreciated.

    I really enjoy your "rambling" which often makes me smile. Still catching up in the past, but now that you have decided to change the yarn from the Sorrel I am so glad you did, you were totally right about the pooling of the color being a bit of a downer for your lovely knit...Cute dress, so you knit it with drops alpaca and it held well all this time? I always wonder, since I do not like to knit with non natural fibers if i can help it, if long things where there is a lot of knitting, and sitting on it, it will not stretch out and loose its shape if there is not nylon or such? I still hear conflicting things about this and am trying to figure it out, some say that for a big project it's best to have a little of a fiber that avoids the stretching out...really interested in knowing your take on how the drops alpaca held as I have some in my stash to use at some point. take care Barbara

    • @mostlyknitting
      @mostlyknitting  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks so much Barbara. Yes, i am also glad i changed the colour for the Sorrel. It deserved a better colour to finish on. I absolutely love the Drops Alpaca. It has held up amazingly well and this is probably my most worn knit. It hasnt stretched out or bagged out at all which is a relief as it was a lot of knitting and i love the FO. :)

      @@mostlyknitting thanks! I am slowly learning more about what to do what with what. I made some beanies for gifts with some drops merino and I think they stretched out a little, even knitting them on a much tighter gauge (which was a bit of a pain).
