    Oh yay your cumulus tee is working out well so far. Fingers crossed the body fits the way you want. I couldn’t pass that on, if it didn’t fit well enough I’d still be wearing it around the house doing the cleaning feeling fabulous 🌸💕 those repair socks 🤭🤣 you have too many needles! I’m such a do it NOW girl, not always good for my mental health but I’m my fathers daughter 😩 he’s manic!! ADHD before we it was a thing, he’s never still so has driven compulsion into me which I’m slowly undoing but things like repairs or frogging still make me itch 😂🤣
    Oh poor Alex, life lessons are never easy 😞 enjoy the last of your busyness before the holidays. Thanks, Karen 💕

      Hi Karen. It is really good that you are able to identify patterns in yourself and how they can be overwhelming at times - but that they can be worked on through noticing them and being conscious about choosing how to respond.
      I can get overwhelmed with too much on (feeling that a bit at the moment) and when I have too much choice in any area, i get lost in trying to decide what to do first. I think that is why that basket is "hidden". If i am not going to do them immediately, I have to put these things away so they dont take up brain space. And then they lie dormant for years...
      Thanks for watching and commenting and for your inspiring projects on ravelry and instagram. x

    The Cumulus Tee looks quite different with the I cord finish.
    You new Mussrlburgh in just one colour will look quite pretty. You have quite a lot knitting to get through. I am quite tired tonight and off to sleep I go now Tash ❤😊

    I use your tutorial for picking up sleeve stitches every time, so thank you! Regarding the Felix pullover, you could stop knitting the 1st sleeve and go to the 2nd sleeve, either starting the decrease rounds further down, or using a larger needle. I knit 2 Felix cardigans and the sleeves were so tight that I had to modify the pattern on both. But if your daughter is happy, with it, that's what counts!

    • @mostlyknitting
      @mostlyknitting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your lovely comments on using my tutorial. That is really nice to hear. That is really helpful to know you found the sleeves on the Felix tight. It must not have allowed quite enough sts for the sleeves. I even stole a couple of stitches from the body for the sleeves and they are still snug. Mia is happy so i am going with it - and from her wardrobe, i know she does like fitted sleeves, so I believe her. ;)

    Your Sorrel is absolutely gorgeous! The yoke seems to float in that colour. 😃
    Thanks for another great episode Tash and for all your Ranunculus tutorials. I’ve just started mine and am loving how clear your explanations are. The yoke is so addictive but I’m needing to pace myself as I injured my hand and need to wear a thumb splint for a while which is incredibly frustrating when all I want to do is keep on knitting!!!🤣

      Oh no Susie! I hope your hand gets better quickly. Definitely good idea to pace yourself as you dont want to be injured for longer. Take care. x

    Awesome episode! Amazing how the I-cord brought the v up! Will remember that for sure! Watching you decide on the sleeve of the green sweater, maybe you should go up a needles size? The gray sweater you have on has a bit looser sleeve. Plus, if your daughter would want to wear a thermal or tee
    under it would be too tight? Even here in Southern California I wear a thin tee under sweaters. I really like all the teaching items you share Tash, I’m a sponge 😊 I’ve done a few garter tabs, over and over until I get it but really have no idea how I got there 😂. Thank you for taking your time to record ❤

      Thanks so much Julie. I did consider ripping back and going up a needle size but she is adamant she likes it as it is. And maybe if I change it she will say it is too baggy for her. ;)
      If she changes her mind, I can always reknit the sleeves. It isn’t a massive amount of knitting, thankfully.
      :)

    Hi Tash! love the Musselburgh, such uplifting colors! I really enjoy how dense your podcasts are of technical info that is really useful, and I am so grateful that you do so much research to figure things out, it's really interesting. I will definitely be using your tutorials when needed, as I did with the underarm one. I have the same issue when I get to arms, although I do not use magic loop, I feel it interrupts my flow, I use the tiny circulars, the ones from Chiaogoo, and I really like them but I cannot knit for very long without getting tired, I guess that is why I have yet to knit socks... I also go up one size (but it does depend) at the moment I am kind of stuck with a summer sweater I made for myself, taking a recipe, to try for the first time a certain shoulder construction that at the moment I do not remember, anyway the sleeves are tight, I am lazy to rip out - which I do all the time - I am hoping that the yarn will loosen up it's 50% silk 50% cotton and I really like it and would like to wear it possibly in September...still debating, I am almost done with the whole thing....

    • @mostlyknitting
      @mostlyknitting  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks so much Barbara. I really like doing the tutorials as i think of things or as people ask for them. It feels natural to do them along the way and then hopefully people will find them useful when they need them. I find it difficult to knit on the really short circulars. The way i hold then needles means i need a bit of a substantial length tip and if it is too short, my hands ache. So i magic loop most of the time and just go up a needle size. We all have to figure out a workaround that suits our knitting style so i try not to tell others what I think is "best". Just what works for me. :)

    Thank you Tash for another fabulous episode. Would love to see how you repaired the sock, looks so interesting and I have a couple of socks with holes in. The sorrel is looking lovely, I know you mentioned that you used different needle sizes, but did you make the neck smaller from the pattern because it looks just how I like my necks to be. What a shame about Alex loosing her licence after just passing her test. Do you know I feel really knackered after you tell us about your week lol. Have a good week ❤

    • @mostlyknitting
      @mostlyknitting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Carol. Thanks for your lovely comments. I used a needle size up for the Sorrel (3.5mm and 4mm instead of 3.25mm and 3.75mm). I also only did 6 rows for the neckline as i didnt want it to come up my neck like a funnel neck. I think the combination of larger needle and less rows helped with that. I also made sure i didnt cast on too tightly. Thanks for the reality check about my week. I think i am so used to being really fully scheduled, it seems normal to me. It is a good thing the holidays are coming and I will think through next term to figure out a way to have a bit more unstructured time. Have a great week. x

    Hi Tash, Thanks for another great podcast! Your Ranunculus is such a gorgeous colour! Thanks for the ranunculus Tutorials. Im keeping them in mind for when I get around to making one. I've just added the second colour to my half and half wrap and Im loving sinking into it. I think I"ve grown a "half and half wrap brain" in order to knit it. It's a beast of a wrap that requires surrender :). Your Felix jumper looks soooo pretty! I was wondering, would you be able to "create" another centimeter in the sleeve width when you block it? I don't know how you manage to have sooo much on your needles when life outside of knitting is so busy for you. I feel so sorry for Alex with her ticket, not so long after her car park bingle... I hope she gets one of the jobs she's going for just to balance it all out. Have a great week :)

      @mostlyknitting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much Kazwah. Thanks for the heads up on the Half and Half Wrap. Sounds like a long term commitment. The body of the Felix did grow a bit in width so i am hoping for a bit of that for the sleeves. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by too many things on the needles so i am going to try and focus on finishing a few things. Hope you are having a lovely weekend. :)

    10:35 how do you think the sleeves will relax after blocking ? I😊 16:46 I can’t wait to see the videos! I just started a project that called for an I cord cast on. I tried it a few times and looked at a few videos, and could not make it work. So I did a provisional cast on and I will go back and do an Icordbind off.🤷🏾‍♀️ 34:15 yayyyy for ripping!😁

    • @mostlyknitting
      @mostlyknitting  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the sleeves will relax out a little as the body did. Probably just enough for Mia. I am definitely going to those icord cast on videos. I just have to make sure i am happy with it and it is clear before i put it out there. And yes, i was very happy to rip out those socks. I was not excited about making or wearing them. :)

      Hi heather. Thanks so much for your lovely comments. I used Circus Tonic Handmade Soiree Fingering which is a lovely merino, cashmere silk blend. It was absolutely beautiful to work with. Not sure how easy to get as I got it on a destash but there are probably similar bases from other dyers. :)

    I may perhaps be the only person watching your podcasts from Mongolia. They are so enjoyable. I consider myself an experienced knitter yet I am confused by the cast on for the Rananunculus and have tried it a few times. How is it possible that casting on 60 stitches and joining in the round will fit over my head? I must be missing something. I would appreciate any feedback. Wishing you a joyful week of knitting.

    • @mostlyknitting
      @mostlyknitting  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jacqueline. That is so cool that you are watching from so far away. The cast on for the Ranunculus is what makes the difference. If it was a normal cast on, it wouldnt. But with the tubular cast on, it has the stretch you need and will definitely fit. This is a "trust the pattern" moment. Have a great week. :)
