    I've knit 3 Felixes too - it's just so wearable! For the Illuminate I'd put needle stoppers on and wash and block it to see what's it's going to do. I think you're right about the stripes tho. It's a beautiful colour and worth saving!

    I’ve been looking for a sweater to cast on next! We’re about to welcome our 4th in a few weeks and I could see this being the perfect “postpartum” knit once you separate for the sleeves. Plus, I have the perfect “fall” yarn in stash already (Brooklyn Tweed Shelter in the Hayloft” colorway)! Thank you for organizing this KAL 🤍

    I'm definitely joining the KAL. The red yarn you dyed up is sooo beautiful! And, haha, I loved your "And the Suri's just kind of OH-KAY!!!" So funny. I do find that her colorwork yoke sweaters tend to have a lot of positive ease and will flare out. I wonder if you could go back just to the last round of colorwork at the bottom of the pyramid shape and decrease eveningly in MC or decrease a couple of rounds after colorwork is completed. That's what I would try cause I'm like you, if the fit isn't right then I won't wear it and your sweater is too gorgeous to be finished and then live permanently on the "experience shelf"!

      Thank you so much for watching Kate and I’m super glad you’re joining the KAL. As for my sweater, your suggestion seems spot on. Something needs to be done because you’re absolutely right; I just won’t wear a poorly fitting garment and I really want to have this sweater. And it’s interesting-I keep hearing about the positive ease in the body with Andrea’s designs. 🤔

    Well…guess I’ll have to gather my Felix Cardi pattern & yarn (Cascade 220 non-sw, “Shire” green, lovely color!) which has been patiently waiting for me to cast on. I’m not going to get gauge w pattern specs, but I’ll modify/adjust, & do the math. Got the yarn about a year ago (what…???). This KAL is just the incentive I need! LOVE the color of your crop Felix!! • @sc00badive
    @sc00badive ปีที่แล้ว

    For the Suri sweater why not just switch back to the SpinCycle yarn for the bottom 2/3's of the sweater? The flare where it is will most likely be flattering, then the weight of the other yarn will bring it back in and down. I loved the green in your Magnolia sweater, that was a gorgeous color!

    So…two questions please ma’am.
    1. Do you have a pic for how Snapdragon 2ply merino knits up?
    2. If you were to pair a mohair with the Snapdragon …what color would you choose?

    To hold a cup without a handle use your index and middle finger under the cup and your thump on the top of the cup, mostly the bottom is thick so you don't feel the heat. I have many cups like this that I use for hot black or green tea and that's hot I hold it.

    Does Brandon wear patterns or stripes? Is he adventuresome? Agreed the yoke stripe isn't the best way to go. The white/blue stripe pattern is very appealing. My husband requested a sweater I made him years ago and is now huge on him. So deconstruct and reknit the sweater. Any suggestio,ns.

    wonderful idea for a Knit a Long. a long while back i made the cardigan and the neck was huge. It made no sense as a cardigan since it sat so far off my shoulders. I have seen others and some do appear that way. i was wondering in the pullover if you modified the neck at all to fit as a crew? i consider myself moderately experienced and would be knitting the smallest size. Just surious.

    • @WOOLNEEDLESHANDS
      @WOOLNEEDLESHANDS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Anita! So it’s interesting what you say about the cardigan version. In fact, that is the primary reason I’ve chosen not to knit it despite how much I love the pullover. I feel like the photos I’ve seen also reflect a much too wide neckline that will result in constant fussing-with on the part of the wearer. However none of my Felix pullovers have this issue and I’ve followed the pattern exactly to spec for the neckline in each of mine. And I especially think you’ll have zero issue with this if you’re knitting the smaller size. I hope this helps and I do hope you join. ❤️❤️

    Hi Tayler! I would like to do the Felix Sweater... but I am not that great at reading patterns. I still consider myself a beginner. I can follow patterns if a video tutorial comes with it. Before I purchase this pattern and do this, would you suggest this pattern to a beginner? Thank you in advance.

    • @WOOLNEEDLESHANDS
      @WOOLNEEDLESHANDS  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! This is a great question. So I would consider this pattern to be an advanced beginner pattern to beginner sweater knitter. There are directions for short rows which require a special technique to execute (which can definitely be found on TH-cam) and there are directions for casting on new stitches when the body is separated from the sleeves (another technique that can be found on TH-cam), but other than that, I’d say if you’re feeling adventurous to give it a try. In the very least, purchase the pattern for your library, give it a read and decide for yourself if you’re feeling ready to tackle it. At some point down the road, if it’s not now, you’ll be happy that you have the pattern.
