It was a great upgrade for sure. It’s around $1500. The hpa and CTS have both been great from what I have heard. So far the hpa k04 has been doing great. I have always liked hpa so I figured I would give them a shot.
I am about to do this mod oh my golf 6 gti 2011, watching the video seems plug and play, but a friend of mine told me that i have to modify the cold side, can someone exlpain what is the right thing?
I didn’t pull the axle because I pull the turbo out the top but you should replace the bolts if you remove them. No I only replace the studs if they break.
Thank you very much for watching it. Yes you can run the hpa k04 if you have all stock hardware and tune but you will be limited by the stock tune calibration. Hey, I’m planning to do ko4 too on my mk6, what other bolt on’s do you need other than an intercooler, downpipe, and intake. I’ve heard valve springs and retainers some were doing too because of valve float on high rpms
That’s awesome. Just the mods you listed. You can do springs and retainers if you want to rev past 7k but the k04 will not keep up at that rpm so it’s not worth it unless you are going with a larger turbo.

Im about to buy this turbo but i don’t understand the 7 psi requirement. How can i change that when i install mine ? Or what happen if i dont change it?
The wastegate comes preset by hpa to open at 7psi when full boost is applied to the wg and this is called the wastegate cracking pressure. I always check it when I install a turbo but you should be good just installing it. If the wg cracking pressure is too low max boost will be lower than it should be.
