    man loving all this content on the mk5/6 platform, especially the ea888 gen 1. I bought my GTI brand new from the dealer 14 years ago and just recently broke 100k! Been running APR stage 2 with all supporting mods for pretty much the whole time. such a Fun little whipper snapper still! My EOS ea888.1 made 201bhp and 218lb ft stock. Then with full 3" APR intake, 3" downpipe + catback, upgraded intercooler, APR coils, NGK cold plugs, Nuespeed lightweight crank pulley, GFB diverter valve made 225bhp and 245lb ft stock software. Stage 2+ mapped 288bhp and 330lb ft on 99 ron 😮 Your video is really good btw, i enjoyed watching it 😀

    Thanks for the great dyno comparison content, always a highlight of my day to see a new video. My MK6 Jetta TDI is Malone Stage 3 (CR170 Turbo Swap) and Malone DSG tune and its been rock solid for the last 82K Miles. Also its refreshing that you guys aren't set on one tuner brand so we really get a view of many options in these videos.

    • @issacnewton9443
      @issacnewton9443 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm running stage 2 Malone with the CR170 on my TDI and it runs really well. The DMF shutter will be dealt with soon at 160k miles and a Wavetrac LSD installed before I go stage 3. I will say the DSG tune does make it unsure of what gear to use cruising at 45mph but otherwise it shifts very well.

    Are you guys ok with the intakes that mount the MAF directly on the intake pipe? A lot of what I have read on the forums says to avoid those and get the 2 piece intakes that keep the original MAF sensor assembly.
    Also, any particular reason why you recommend a different turbo over the K04? It seems like all other options require custom tuning and possibly fueling mods. At that point it almost makes sense to sell the MK6 for a 7. With that said, I have a k04 MK6 GTI (IE Tuned) and it is awesome, but with another 30-50HP it would put it much closer to the modern "big dogs", lol.

    • @COMotorsports

      As long as the maf piping size is correct then it's completely fine. Issue is companies have messed that up which will cause problems.

A ko4 will only do about 14 flat. To get another 1.3ish secods faster it would need a gt28, i think. Is high 12s just a turbo upgrade and exhaust, intercooler, fueling away on a 07ish gti? Hey guys I love your videos I was wondering if you guys tune tdi. Just turned 16 and I bought a mk4 jetta tdi 5 speed manual from watching your videos. Even though I watched your videos and looks guys mostly tune gti and gli the most. I haven’t seen a tdi vw on the channel yet which I thought would be cool. I modded my car over the summer with various mods and I was wondering how much would it cost to tune my tdi if you guys tune tdi ? An if you guys wanted you can use it as a TH-cam video or something.

      We tune TDIs all the time. I think there's one or two TDI on the channel. We're primarily about making HP and building track cars on this channel, and 99% of TDI clients typically are after savings and mileage. In short yes we can tune your TDI.

I’m trying to look for the most hp out of my tdi BEW Sadly not the Alh with stock internals. But what I have modded and saved up for my car this summer now becoming winter is a vnt17 turbo rather than the kp39 a cold air intake 3 bar map sensor pd150 intake with race pipe and a 3inch turbo back exhaust straight pipe and egt and boost gauge and a brand new timing belt and the whole works for that my car was tuned down to 90 Hp new and I want to see what I can get out of it. I’m a huge vw tdi guy my dad currently has a 03 Volkswagen Jetta wagon tdi that pushing 230hp at wheels not at crank he running an 18/56 turbo I think and it’s and Alh and he trying to get his tune right now as well.

      @@COMotorsports I understand that and that’s why it’s difficult to drop so much money into a FWD VW and only make that much power, it’s very difficult. When you can drop the amount it takes to get to 250-300hp/tq in a VW and still get smashed by other stock ish car brands out there in the same league, with the amount I’ve put into my GTI I could have had a big turbo 400hp+ srt4 amongst other cars and in all honesty I’d rather have an srt4 with the amount these VW’s cost with the shit return on performance they give you. I’ve got at least $5k in performance components in my GTI and still get whooped by srt4’s and other cars in its league, it honestly is a huge downer. I’ve had 5 VW’s so far and even the ones I’ve put Water meth and stage this and that and whatever mods I can throw at them and they’re still slow as shit. These cars are just not performance friendly unless you actually rip into them and build them and or throw a big turbo and the supporting mods and I’m not talking ko4 lol I’m talking big turbo, from stock to stage 3+ with cutting labor costs by doing some work yourself your still at about $6k minimum for a properly setup stage 3. So what I’m babbling about is VW’s are a waste of money unless you are into dumping money into something for little return on performance and or like the way they break and are over priced to fix and or like the stanced bagged deal, everyone likes what they like but as I get older and learn about the 45+ cars I’ve owned I know for a fact unless you have money to throw away and dump into euro cars they aren’t worth much other than to drive them daily, hope they don’t break and that’s it. Not saying I wouldn’t mind having a newer RS model Audi but I think they are heavily over priced and not worth the loss. I’ve thrown a lot of money on VW’s and have learned they aren’t worth it. The power isn’t there for me for the money spent.
