      The stock DSG can already hold a good amount of power, but if you're concerned about that, or just want to upgrade your DSG, get a TCU Tune. That will not only allow the transmission to handle more torque, but you'll also get faster, more aggressive shifts.

    Can anyone argue that you don't really need a catch can on this platform? I don't have one and I know of a buddy who doesn't on his K04. They're rather pricey at $400

    • @ecstuning
      @ecstuning  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      i mean... you can not run a catch can, but you will sacrifice a percentage of the total possible clean air you can deliver to your engine since the PCV system will send unfiltered crankcase pressure through the intake, which includes oil and carbon particulate. that's what gets built up on intake valves in DIT engines since there is no fuel spraying across the valve to clean it. Basically, yes, you can get away with no catch can, but you'll end up paying for it in the long run with carbon cleaning.

    Craig, I had to stop you at 2:28. As a potential customer, I do not have an unlimited budget, or the facilities (which include a lift of course). I do not believe that fancy airbox will give that much gain on it's own. I'm not about to rip the entire front end of the car to buy an OEM placement IC. The hp/tq curves for stage 2 are very peaky. I don't think that exhaust flows as much as it could; branching out into dual 90 degree bends. I don't know what the purity thing is all about.
    I'd much rather see how a petrol head like myself can make an efficient machine, capable of actually performing in AutoX or Trackdays without the hype, silliness and over-expense, please. Thanks for trying. BTW, I'm a retired Mechanical Designer and former ASE Technician
