Here in Africa the Land cruisers(250 Prado & 300),Lexus lx600(300) do make alot of sense but there in the USA with Sequoias & 4runner with almost or bigger size the aforementioned don't!.& I for one if I was living that side I would by the latter mentioned SUVs.
Could you please do a video on LX600 Luxury? This comparison is exactly what I was looking for. I like the size, off-road capable suspensions and tires of the Sequoia but LX600 is equally capable with more ground clearance, luxury and style.
The LX600 is the Land Cruiser 300 with a Lexus interior. It will go where the Sequoia will struggle. It will outlast the Sequoia as everything on the LX600/LC300 is overbuilt.
@@ricardovaldivielso353 Yes, the TNG-FA platform. But they are not built to the same standards. Sequoia is built in San Antonio Texas, whereas the LX's and LC300's are built in Tahara, Japan. And again, they are not built to the same standards. For example, the LX/LC have thicker paint than the Sequoia because of the sand and high winds in the target markets (Dubai, etc.) Did you know that they use more fasteners, connectors and over all build the LX/LC stronger than the Sequoia?
@@NoahBody1 Well, it is make sense that the Land Cruiser is more refined than the Sequoia since the Base LC200 in 2021 is still $5-7k more than the new Sequoia Capstone trim with updated technology and nicer interior design. Also, the LC200 have features that even the new Sequoia doesn’t have like 4-zone climate control for example while Sequoia only have three. Shows that Toyota still want the LC to sit above the Sequoia in the U.S. Another thing I want to say is that the Base LC200 here is pretty much equivalent to the LC200 Sahara in Australia which I think is the highest trim they offered there before the LC300 came out. The base LC200 GX trim in Australia only have 5 cloth seats, doesn’t even have rear A/C and a 15 year old gauge/speedometer design. However, I think the GX trim will still start around $50k+ or more if it were selling here in the U.S. because of overall build quality and off-road capability. Me personally I would pick Sequoia because I like the new exterior/interior, the build quality is pretty good base on my standard and for my family to travel around. But there is still no denying that the Land Cruiser 300 still have better overall build quality and refinement, let alone Lexus LX600
@@RangeRoland All excellent points. My only complaint was the rear seats in the sequoia were less than stellar compared to the 2nd gen that I had. I really wanted the TRD Pro Sequoia but in Canada, you can only get these with the bright red leather interior. That and waiting on a list for 1.5 years killed my interest so I took my deposit back and started looking at the GX or LX. I eventually landed on the LX and I haven't looked back since. It's not too large, with just enough space.
@@NoahBody1 The fuel economy and the 3rd row space is the two complains that I have on the new Sequoia. I was excited when Toyota teased the new Sequoia boxy exterior. Thinking it’s time to upgrade from my 2016 Ford Expedition and got turned down when they showed the cargo space because I have a big family and almost always bring a stroller along a road trip. Another thing about the cargo space is the 3rd row seats is non removable because of the battery pack underneath them. I’ve also watched many videos about real world fuel economy of the new Sequoia and most of them are worse than what Toyota shown on paper. It’s a shame since I like the exterior and interior of the new Sequoia a lot. So, I decided to keep the Expedition and hopefully they will solve the fuel economy and/or cargo space problem in the next facelift or generation.
LX600 is the VJA310, or the luxury varient of the LC 300 series. It is built on a much more capable and higher production standard than the Tundra or Sequoia.
Famous memorable lines in …. I don’t think so history: “ not very much space with the third row up probably for a good reason because I’m sure there’s a decent amount of space all things considered.” Sir there is limited space in the third row so much that it’s only recommended for children or maybe adults under 5’7” 😅 in both vehicles. Which is why these two vehicles are a joke in the car community. Not because of looks if it where looks alone they would be S tier but for Toyota/Lexus lack of planning on how to divide up the space ti make it functional compared to the outside appearance of being large like a Tahoe . Both the sequoia and LX have horrible seating layouts and even in the second row is nothing compared to its equally large counterparts. Which is why people choose the smaller less appealing yet roomier Lexus TX or Grand Highlander. An Audi Q7 at the very least has the same crap leg room in the third row but way more leg room on the second row is row than both of these vehicles. I love Lexus and Toyota that’s all we have owned and I’ve been in both of those vehicles. The seating in the Sequoia is uncomfortable after a while and is flat and had no support the LX was very comfortable but felt cramped and claustrophobic on the second row especially with the large media screens projected outward into your chest space 😂. Such cool looking vehicles such bad interior design .
toyota needs to release the LC300 badly, whats the point of having a car the size of sequoia and no trunk space because the battery pack design????????
First off yall complaining about the storage space, first off he completely shit 💩 on it and didn’t show it correctly on the sequoia. That piece he pulled off goes sliding in and opens up to level out your third row seats with the rest of storage area. So you can put fruit, eggs, bread , or drinks whatever on bottom and then on your top area ( now that it’s level and flat) you have plenty of space to put anything else. Just tired of folks talking down on storage space when they are not showing how it properly functions 🤦♂️
Hopefully Lexus will wake and give us a truly luxurious LX 600 that can stand properly with Escalade and Range Rover, when I saw the LX from behind It looked like a Durango 🤭
I am in my third LX570. People buy the LX over the Escalade and Range Rover because of the LX’s reliability and resale value. Compare resale value of a five year old LX, Escalade and Range Rover. An Escalade is a glorified Chevy Tahoe and when is the last time you heard of someone driving a Range Rover with a 150,000 miles on it without having enough repair bills to wallpaper a large house. I put 245,000 miles on my first LX and 215,000 on my second without any major expenses other than preventive maintenance. I changed the oil every 5,000 miles, flush the coolant system every 24 months, changed differential and transfer case fluids every 60 to 80 thousand and changed transmission fluid every 100,000 miles.
@@richarddiak2256 Truly understand, I have a Tundra that's for reliability and finance. Yet when it's time to cruise the boulevard or park in valet the LX loses to both the Escalade & Range Rover.

Great video man! I have the 2024 Rav4 Hybrid Base model and with the reflector LED headlights with black bezels, it still gives me Lexus vibes!

I got my TRD pro serviced at a Lexus dealership and all the service advisers were floored. It was like a pink unicorn showed up. It was wonderful 😂😂😂
😂 I bet they had a blast
SMH that was a solar eclipse we just had, not a lunar eclipse. And yes, there is a difference.
