Lexus any day. There’s no compromise when it comes to reliability.
Caddy looks so much better, but the Lexus for reliability.
Yeah the Lexus nice but im gonna pick the Escalade.
Maybe compare the Lexus to the Yukon Denali
Yeah it’s not even close!
Still not a good comparison, the Yukon Denali interior still looks more rich, with way more new technology too, maybe the mid grade Tahoe is a good comparison, cause the High County version interior still looks better then the dull cramped (in comparison) Lexus especially for the 100 plus thousand they want for the Lexus.
@@richardroundtree2022 yeah you right I wasn't even thinking about the Chevy Tahoe High Country.
Two really nice vehicles. I like the Escalade, but I worry about all those electronics in the dash.
I love the Lexus better👀
Bought my wife a new Sport Platinum Escalade 14 months ago. What an amazing ride quality. The air suspension is unmatched. The interior cabin room is appreciated. So much elbow room. Captains chairs are great with 2 kids. Plenty of trunk room for long trips. All around…it’s a dream family hauler. We also got lucky and got the 3.0 baby diesel, wife gets 27mpg even with her lead foot. Buuuuut…the Escalade has been in the shop twice now. 1st time for transmission issue and now, the entire starter needs to be replaced. It’s on back order and truck has been sitting at the dealer for 2 weeks. We spent $130K OTD and I have REAL CONCERNS about its reliability long term. 19K miles and started is out? Like, really? 3 months ago I bought myself a ‘24 LX 600 F Sport. Yes, the Escalade is annoyingly roomier inside. The 2nd row is tight for my 2 kids, that is my biggest gripe with the LX 600. But, you can easily tell the difference in build quality. I am so confident my Lexus will outlast my wife’s Escalade. If Lexus introduces a hybrid version in a few years, I’ll probably trade for it. I’m getting 17th combined so getting 24mpg would be appreciated. If we are going on a family road trip, my wife and kids choose the Escalade but for my daily driver, the Lexus is great
Sorry to say, it’s no-brainer the Lexus will last for a very long time and the maintenance cost is lower than the Cadillac. More importantly it has great resale value, amongst all the other brands.
If I’m leasing one of these it will be the Escalade and it’s not even close for me.
Nope it’s not close at all! 🤷🏽♂️
Caddy wins hands down for me. I truly miss the days of the luxury caddy trucks from the early 2000's .
Toyota/Lexus will last much longer.. ...end of story
Yeah because us who buy them keep them for 20 years and 400k miles🙄………..makes zero sense to buy a high end luxury vehicle because of longevity, when the Escalade is easier to service and part are more readily available!
@@dennissmith7214True. 2018 Escalade owner here.
How many old Toyotas Lexus are on the road. ???
Very few people are keeping these new autos beyond 5 years or 100K miles. Most folks are leasing these new autos because they are so expensive.
Also, due to the complex technology in these new cars none of them make a good investment after the warranty ends. If folks really want to keep their auto forever (super long term reliable/dependability), they have to get autos that were made before 2012-2015. After those years, you really don’t want to keep these things too long. All these giant screens, integrated electronic starter generators, 4 wheel steering, etc. make the auto drive great but man $$$$.
That is why I refuse to give up my 2010 Escalade with 115K miles. I can take it to the dealership or other places to get repaired without fear of some non-Cadillac certified technician screwing up something. Additionally, I’m a big believer in owning 2nd hand (let the first person take the depreciation), but now that doesn’t seem to be a good option.
@@jesusrosales9263what kind of question is that? Lol
I actually like that Escalade wood but I can see that some people wouldn't be a fan. With the stripes, I don't know what kind of wood it is but anything with a grain, I'm a fan. I like the blacked-out Lexus wood also.
Also, gauge cluster and screens on the Cadillac are superior. IMO
JB, i appreciate your work ethic. Posting videos at 6am must be tough. Keep up the hard work.
Great, informative review. I love the collaboration between you and your wife when y'all review vehicles or RVs. God Bless.
I don’t know JB that Escalade hard to beat if you guys switch I with you
Lexus all day! I’ve still got my 2000 LX470 which has 186,500 miles; she still runs GREAT! I just have to do a parts replacement due to wear and tear, once in a full moon (those parts are still available and affordable)! Plus my Lexus dealer always gives me a nice Lexus loaner whenever they need a day or 2 to replace a part!
You compared a base escalade to the lexus. The escalade sport is a more comparable model to the lexus, in my opinion.
That was a Premium Luxury Escalade in the video and the Sport is on the same level like the Premium Luxury but just a separate trim from each other.
I take the Lexus...because is a Lexus.
Jb they have more wood choices in the caddy
Correct, there are several Escalade trim packages that use black wood along with different variations of brown.
The Caddy's wood finiah doesn't get get scuffed up and the Caddy's wood is traditional Caddy' paying homage to the Fleetwoods and Sedan DeVilles from back in the day, it's BIG and American and has more dominant presence, makes a statement. pulling up in the Caddy gets a lot more looks then the Lexus.
The caddy is nice, with all the extras and thats more possibilities for issues. The lexus is straight to the point, some things people can do without which also means fewer issues. Lease a caddy but spend my hard earned money on buying a lexus
People keep saying that Lexus is more reliable and dependable but I see more older model Escalades from the earlier and mid '00s on the road currently than I see the LX of that same time frame. So I'm not convinced about the Toyota Lexus reliability debate from the apologist.
They both are reliable and can have their share of issues too. Also, FYI, I don't see the first generation LX on the road anymore.
Escalade way better. trim comes in different colors.
Great review
Both look extremely nice to me. The Lexus is classy, and the Cadillac is flashy. L O L.
The best realistic comment
I have a 2022 Escalade ESV sport platinum, I love it, BUT...... it's been in the shop twice in 2 months for "Leveling System Unavailable." and it doesn't allow me to go over 56mph when showing that message. It seems like I'm always at the shop with this vehicle, I will miss the space this has, but I have to choose reliability over the Escalade, which is what Lexus offers.
Nice review and comparison. Both technically are full size suv but to be fair the Escalade is 211.9 inches long & the LX600 is 200.5 inches long so of course it will feel tighter. You alluded to a longer wheel base but the numbers would have been nice for the casual consumer. One is a dedicated ppl mover, one is a 7 seater in a pinch. Both great
Lexus LX 600 it is my favorite
Definitely LX 600 winner.
Proved anywhere around the earth.
If Cadillac would warrant the car 12 years unlimited mileage bumper to bumper I would be all in
It’s very obvious that the Escalade is levels above the Lexus in every aspect. Also that Cadillac Escalade is the lowest spec and even though it’s still levels above. These days the caddy offers more tech, more features than any Mercedes and BMW 🤷♂️
Gls 600. Try it.
The Lexus will last longer and have a better resale value
Cadilac ❤
The escalade is a classic, class of its own.I would definitely get a Escalade. # Beautiful wife
I wonder which owner would love their SUV the most after 3 or so 3 years.
The Lexus is a much better SUV.
LEXUS ❤️🔥👍 THE FIRST CLASS QUALITY
The escalade looks good but i hate the exposed lower rear control arms, once you see it, it can't be unseen.
To me, a car at this price has to be reliable and retain value over time. With that in mind, there’s no comparison between the two. I just traded my 2021 Escalade in for a 2024 LX. I’m taking a bath on the Escalade, which I expected. The Lexus is in a different class in terms of build quality, fit, and finish. The only thing I can say about the Escalade is that it’s bigger. Had to replace the exhaust in the Escalade due to it not being installed correctly. I worry about the Escalade outside of warranty. Also, the value will plummet after three years for the Escalade. I’ve owned four Lexus’s and four Cadillacs. Needed a new engine in my XTS under warranty. Lots of warranty work on the caddy’s. Too many to mention here. Not a single repair on any Lexus or Toyota ever - period! The lx should run forever due to its engineering. Hey, if you lease, it doesn’t matter, but I’m a buyer and want to keep it, so the Lexus is it.
Better warranty with cadillac
Of course, because the Cadillac breaks down all the time.
Escalade>>Land cruiser> Lexus LX
Watched lots of vids of what is practically my preferred SUV - Cadillac.
I find your review top tier being ordinary people.
I get you'll stick to your japanese make, but rear storage is unfit for a family and Caddy a better purchase.
Just check the thickness of the paint on both,,,,,, tells you all you need to know
How you compare a Lexus with a 🇺🇸Cadillac When there are No old Lexus on the road They had to take it off the road because all the problems they had even people had died in crashes with the Lexus out of control. And Lexus is a bad copy of the Cadillac. Please don’t try to confuse and trick me.
Not following you at all.
You can get a cool box in the Escalade.
My neighbor has the escalade and has little issues but it's a gas GUZZLER!!!!!!!!!!!
Escalade should be compared to Lexus TX rather than LX 600.
Sorry, more Men drive Escalades. This guy 57 year old single guy drives a 2018 Escalade.
Bro., you got a hot wife. I wish you a Century of Happiness, Health and Peace Together. God bless.

Cadillac
Escalade is the only Cadillac that has been somewhat reliable. However ever since gm bailouts & price gouging I’m done with their vehicles. Lexus/toyota have platforms that work and therefore don’t change much. At the end of the day, drive what you like~ to me it’s all way overrated & overpriced. I can only speak for myself; I receive much better service and I have experienced a much higher level of professionalism in the Lexus dealer. That’s huge in my world, especially spending that kind of money.
Esc
Lexus all the way. I don't buy SAIC funded vehicles
What does SAIC mean?

@@s-man3684 ok I kept seeing something Scientific on the Google. I thought that doesn't make sense lol
Lexus will have a lot more value than shitty Escalade after owning it for 5 yrs
To put it kindly I'm sorry u have lost 100k + dollars on the Cadillac. Both have different agendas despite the cross shopping among customers many of whom are very misinformed. Disagree with your compliments on the Cadillac. Enjoy
Lol.. this guy can get air suspension on a LX. 😂😂
Lx 600... wtf... so you have no bumber and no cargo space??? So if rear ended... you are just dead.... period... ok.... wow.... wtf...
Wow - you must be a horrible driver if you’re getting rear-ended all the time; no wonder you prefer the bloated unreliable Escalade!
Escalade safer. Full frame. Lexus just crumbles
Caddy got the jeep Cherokee head lights
Range Rover is best looking SUV on the market, hands down, and it is engineering Superiority, and world class Icon,Escalade is a domestic that can not touch a RANGE ROVER.
To me, when people talk about escalade, I picture a tahoe.
Premium Lexus versus Base Escalade. Not really a fair comparison. Escalade is available with a Refrigerator/Freezer, larger than the Lexus. Also a Night Vision Option. Escalade optional Retractable Running Boards, Air Suspension with Magnetic Ride. Vehicle lowers for entry and exits. Super Cruise is true Hands-Free Driving. Test drive has Cadillac the clear winner. Way better ride. I choose Cadillac all day.
GM government motors and China SAIC
Lexus Toyota junk
LOL -sorry you can’t afford either one 😅😂🤣
