  • Meet Monroe an ex policeman and Army veteran from Texas. He came to the Philippines in 2018, fell in love and got married. During their 2 year anniversary party to celebrate the marriage he found out that his"wife" was already married. It was all a sham. This is his story. Thanks for watching!

Your unselfishness in sharing your story for future expats (like myself) and telling the truth about the unfortunate games SOME filipinas play goes a very long way in helping men have a better understanding in what they are getting themselves into when coming to the Philippines is without bounds. Calvin as always I can't thank you enough. 40K subs is not enough for the value you bring to men's lives when they are trying to start a new life. We need more men like you to help "Passport Bros" to be educated when pursuing a relationship and understanding the culture. God Bless you both.💯

Before you get married in the Philippines, you have to complete “a Legal Capacity” with the US Embassy and then you can marry someone in the Philippines! If you were divorced in the states, the US Embassy will want a copy of the divorce decree as well!
But that’s crazy, it takes a lot of courage to tell your story! I spent a lot of time in Angeles City, and I can tell you that a lot of the women there do lie a lot. They either married or living with their boyfriend behind your back. And they still reaping the benefits from the foreigner. I’ve seen it happen a lot there! Hopefully, you will find true love one day and put the past behind you!

@@yourperineuminspector Philippine law requires all foreigners to provide a “Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage” before filing for a marriage license.  This certification affirms that there are no legal impediments to the foreigner marrying a Filipino (i.e., that the foreigner is not currently married to someone else). I learned many years ago to assume a woman is still married until I see a legit legal document to the contrary. It took real courage for this brother to put himself out here and share this story. I’m just glad he didn’t get any serious reprisal from the husband.
In my case I took the woman’s word that she was divorced; then one day her husband called me and threatened to end her and do me serious harm. I gave him enough reasonable doubt to convince him he was barking up the wrong tree.
Fortunately, I was just seeing her casually and something just didn’t seem right. I learned that a lot of husbands won’t care who’s fault it is and will be looking to make the other man one of the departed. Fellas, get...that...CENOMAR.

Sir Calvin, this is lesson to learn of all foreigners, don't decide it quickly when it comes marrying...think it wisely...the first thing to do is to having a CENOMAR (certificate of no marriage) proving that woman is not married...For his bad experienced I am so sad to hear the tesmony..thank you for the great interview to him...I hope and I pray that man, can find a best woman in God's time...More power in your channel sir Calvin and God bless you and your families..

The cousin was jealous. That's why she ratted her cousin (wife) out. It was over a year later before she spilled the beans. The cousin wanted him. They are fighting over lifestyle changes. And homeboy dated the cousin too. Dang! That was a mistake too.

The best part of the story is Monroe having the courage and strength to break up with her the second he found out. I bet the majority of dudes would have stayed in the relationship and pursued an annulment. Vjay is the most powerful drug.

I'm glad you're starting to inform these non travelers that everything in the Philippines 🇵🇭 isn't prefect. Don't get me wrong I love the Philippines but everything needs to be planned out before u decide to live there. A lot of old sickly foreigners follow their Philippina partner to move in the jungle far away from hospitals, just to be close to their families. Calvin I watches all of you guys TH-cam blogs. Maybe you should let guys know that they can't own land or a business in the Philippines. Keep up the good work 👏.

With no guarantee of a positive outcome, after 3 years of courtroom drama, and the risk of breaching laws and being sued if you continue the relationship in, the interim wait period, before an annulment.
