These single cam builds get a lot of love from you guys and i always appreciate the knowledge along the way, this bad boy gonna make some nice jam 🔥 great vid as always brother
a lot of single cam owners 😂 but also cuz it’s cost efficient and cost friendly that makes it fun for a project True the red hatchback gonna make some nice nice jam indeed 😎
que pasa amigo! Yes we try to share what we can, hoping it makes peoples projects more fun + others with more knowledge gets scammed less too so it helps both ways
there’s really no magic to it…locally also I don’t get how some think there is but like on this engine we just clock it the OEM way Wiseco Arias and JE usually have a clocking sequence they suggest on the box manual and we follow that when the piston has it but for pistons like OEM and YCP and 1Up or NPR pistons we always just clocked it the OEM way Always worked good
hey a rebuild don’t cost much , part of the purpose of our rebuild videos is to let locals know a basic rebuild won’t cost u upwards of 90k 😂 cuz I know some charge 120k for starters 😂
Usually the vtec ones have less dished pistons but they’re still good I’ve done a few Vtec-E d15b the ones with p07 pistons and we slapped on a z6 ported head and ran surprisingly good One customer even opted to run a crower stage 2 cam in it and it was a nice surprise actually it ran real good… One good thing is the z6 head or y8 head will require the same timing belt length as to what you currently run so that’s easier finding what belt to use
Hi, stumbled across your videos…. Watching from Trinidad 🇹🇹 in the Caribbean. Looking at doing a Jdm d15b non vtec build (considering a Vitara build on the short block) not too sure if the Vitara spec stuff will work on the Jdm d15b non vtec, already have a y8 single stage vtec head for the build just not too familiar with which internals will work for the build as info is mostly on usdm spec engines. Any advice Will be appreciated
yes indeed no matter if it runs coolant recently if the previous previous owner ran water it generally is hard to get the grime marks off the coolant passages (outside the bore/sleeve) current owner got the hatchback with this engine I believe 5 months ago
we try to share details on what we do so that peeps get a better understanding of what goes thru porting a head etc however it’s hard to explain what I’ve been doing since 2004 so it’s really to share the amount of work and focus given to porting a head but the wise will know it’s not something easy to replicate

@SRDmotorsports true true, single cam motors are the best beginner motors to start with, back in the days those were the go to motors haha
@ and nowadays it’s still the ideal platform to experiment on (cost wise) cuz it can oblige to make good jam!
@SRDmotorsports very very true, I love the old school builds that works even up to this day
yes sir!
Present my good friend!💪🙂
oh yes sir! 😎
Thank you for this video. I really wanted to be auto mechanic.
oh that’s cool to know 😎
Yes!
glad this is good for you 😎 hopefully we get to share more that’s good soon
Very nice
yes sir 😎
Thank you for all the knowledge!! 🫡

Ma Shaa Allah, nice idea. Keep on sharing po.
yes 😊 thank you
Can u guys do a d15 & d16 clocking piston rings step by step where each ring is clock the piston?

@SRDmotorsports give me a link to it
il look for a link.. usually it’s everywhere online the oem ring clocking / setting way

Your giving me hope for my JDM D15 B 3 stage. Is there any difference between VTEC blocks and Non VTEC ones.
Usually the vtec ones have less dished pistons but they’re still good I’ve done a few Vtec-E d15b the ones with p07 pistons and we slapped on a z6 ported head and ran surprisingly good

If it’s turbo? Yeah vitara is okay
Just not sure if ur d15b is what stock piston marking it has , that would depend what rod the d15b uses
I sensed that water was used instead of coolant at some point but I could be wrong.

Hey whats the Volumetric efficiency for my corolla

146.457
146whp
will check math later
Dalhin ko engine ko senyo sir.
oks
i really wanna port my head like you do 🥲 but i cant seem to understand really good your porting technique
