Just found your channel when searching for Pom Pom crabs. Really like ❤️ your unorthodox set-up, reminds me of myself. I'm keeping 4 Pom Poms, 2 males and 2 females in a 3ft by 1.5ft community tank that consists of Cherry shrimps, 8 Pygmy Corydoras and 30 Chilli Rasboras. Shrimps are thriving but hardly see the crabs as they spent most of their time hiding. Only when I disturb their hiding grounds will they emerge. Looking forward to watching your videos.
Unfortunately they did not make it to me alive so I exchanged and now keep shrimp, Hercules snails and a tiny wild betta in there. I might get Thai micro crabs at some point.
I've got some Pom Pom crabs. They're very pleasant but excellent climbers. I've had to hot glue a mesh screen over the holes in the aqaurium lid. I've seen them climbing the airtubes and filter housing.
@@unorthodoxaquatics May I know the price of the Pom Pom crabs in your country, please ? In Singapore, where I lived, each Pom Pom crabs cost about S$10. Most are sold out after few days at the shops. Thai Micro crabs are sold at S$3 each.
Can't wait to see the pom pom crabs!!!
Very nice Tank

Hey I’m new to the hobby! I was thinking of getting some poms poms for my tank, how has been your experience with keeping them? Have they escaped?

Definitely! I usually do some sort of DIY full coverage glass with any kind of crab

Online most places sell for more than 10 each. Or in a lot of cases they sell them in trio, you can save a little money but not much
