@@TheWaterBox I am waiting 3 of these little buggers.. Wondering how long yours lived for you? I see most places saying up to a year or less but also cant trust the knowledge because there really is not much information out there about them all around.
I visited this spot while I was in West Covina today, and they have so much stuff there. I'm completing a planted 30 gallon and went in to find that the prices are amazing. The plants look freshly stocked, and they have fish(dwarf chain loach and panda loach) I'm not able to find back home. Their were others but couldn't resist getting those especially. It's like an aquascapist candy store. Will be going back

That looks great. Love your choices of plants and hardscape. If you want to add a little red you can go with the Alternanthera Reineckii mini or regular over to the right in that little path area you were speaking about between the driftwood and rock. I have this plant and is one of my favorites. Your new piece of driftwood is awesome.

Pom pom crabs will crawl out of the aquarium if they can. I'd look around outside the aquarium if you haven't seen them in a while. They can live outside of water for a while. I actually see mine sitting on top of floating plants regularly despite everyone saying they're fully aquatic.
Yeh I was checking for that but I did see them on and off now when they come out of hiding
Hey there. Update on the freshwater pom pom crabs. I am going to have to build them their own tank. They have been decimating my snail population. They even have gone after some of my dime size snails. How are yours doing?
They disappeared. I may have to get them in a different tank next time. Need to do more research on them. I'm not sure what perished mine.
@@TheWaterBox Mine did too but it is because they escaped! They got out of the smallest crack in the lid of the tank and my dogs found their dried up bodies and had them for a snack. I was so sad. 😭 The crabs ate over 20 of my extremely expensive snails so... karma.
@@TheWaterBox They ate nerites, trumpet snails, all of my baby rabbit snails, triangle rabbit snails and about 250 baby mystery snails before I realized what was going on. 😭
Why don't you move the mono shrimp into a better tank?
Any suggestions on what CO2 setup I should use for my 15 gallon tank? I've been looking everywhere stuff thats decent, but I don't know whats a good setup. I'm looking for stuff that's not super expensive, but will last me a bit.
What do you consider "super expensive"?

Go with a UNS mini regulator, paintball adaptor and get paintball tanks and refill them at paintball stores.

The crabs hide all the time. When I clean the tank I find them back by the filter intake. I think they bury themselves in the sand a bit too.

I was wondering if I got a bunch more it would make them bold and come out more often. I will let you know. :D
I got three more and they seems to come out more but they been hiding again lately...; or died. I have no clue.
@@TheWaterBox I had to move all of my insane collection of snails and the crabs over to a new tank. I could only find one out of three but it is cruising around like crazy. I am wondering if they are social like shrimp and would do better if I got a group of like 10! I have a little short video on my Instagram. I am @Constance_Wilds if you want to check it out. :D
@@TheWaterBox I have two of the new 32.5 Fluval Flex tanks and the crabs like to hang out in the filter intake. I have noticed they like to bury themselves in the sand too. Frankly, they are too awesome not to have. Even if I can't see them every day. lol

5 gallon tank. Never seen my PomPom Crab, always hidden, then I put in a little of Aqueon plant food.. Soon noticed the crab is out and about, which is odd, next day its clearly dying. Both Aqueon and the seller of crabs should put a "little" effort to warn the public. A 3 word sentence, would have helped.
he probably died because it is a 5 gallon
