He inspired one of my nieces to become a veterinarian.
Taught my nephew about feeding snakes
Why having a pet bunny and pet snake at the same time is never a good idea.
Showed 10s of 1000s of people that caring for reptiles was more than just owning and providing the basics of care. When Sunshine died he cried, apologing to us about showing emotion.
I commented saying "don't apologize it means you truly cared about her" or something along those lines.
He loved his family, his wife, kids, grandkids.
And he was not afraid to show it. Ever.
He instilled a love for reptiles to 1000s of people all over the world. From his kids to strangers.
He is sorely missed by his family, friends, community and social media fans.
He will never be forgotten based just on that alone

it's not not until you see the photo board to realise how much of this man i never knew of, until I needed to get over all my phobios. Then he has managed to be in my life in a wonderful 2 dimensionl way. Thank you Laurie and Noah and the family for sharing him with us mere mortals. He walks among the giants who left indelible impressions on humanity .

The closest, were my Marine Corps Drill Instructors at bootcamp. And that was only 3 months.
I'm envious (in a GOOD way) of what I see, and what Brian was.
I know it's hard for Lori, and Noah, and all the rest, but that's because Brian was so great.
My father is dying of cancer, and the truth is, people will be upset at me, for not feeling for my father, the way "people should" and I'm not looking forward to navigating that.
I'm so glad there is so much peace, and love and support.
@@MIsopods you won't get that from me. My dad wanted to re-establish a relationship with me when he was dying and I didn't upset my life to make it happen. Why cause myself any more hurt than that of being left as a kid? Sending hugs.
Rather ironically, I was the one trying to reconnect with him. After me trying, he sent me a message essentially saying "I didn't call you, I didn't respond to your calls or messages or invitations, because I don't want to see you. I don't understand why you keep trying to contact me."
It's been rough, still to this day. As most of my family look at me, and think I should forget. I forgive him, he was raised by his own parents with their own issues. But they act as if he's changed, not knowing he's said those things, recently.
And since they think that's how he "used" to be, I am in a position where I need to just let them believe I'm unforgiving, and a rude person. OR, tell them "hey look. He said THIS, recently. Please stop asking me to forgive him for things he's done in the past, that he's LITERALLY still doing?" I don't want to create tension either way.

He really seemed like a nice guy. Rest in peace, Brian.

RIP my friend :( never got to meet him but watching podcast after podcast (Vlogs) he felt like family to me and every time i see these i cry so damn bad. Hurts my soul to see good spirited person go. hurts so damn bad and i never seen the person in real life.
For those of us who watched him almost every day, it hurts just like losing a real friend. Our hearts don't feel the difference between a vlog and real life. ❤

It's just not fair. Goodness and kindness just radiated from Brian. I am just so sad that he is gone and l won't see his face anymore. For the past 5 years, when l would come from work l would watch his vlogs. 5 years is a long time, and l feel like I've lost a family member.
I'm very sorry, his loss has impacted you and so many. I know it is hard, but moving forward is best, and what Brian would want. But, it's always easier to say things like that, than enact them.

I still can’t believe he’s gone I keep expecting him to walk through the doors and appear in a video. I think that Lori and Noah are doing a fantastic job with the Legacy still being done. No doubt keeping them busy is helping, but Noah seems to have learned so much and sounds so much like his dad when he’s in the videos when people are visiting. Brian sure did teach him well. Seeing the battle he had to go through broke my heart but the impact he left on countless lives will never fade away. I'm sorry, and hope you manage your grief as smoothly as possible. I lost my Mom a few years back, and dealt with it a lot 'better' than most (I'd lost Marines and a few friends, so it wasn't my first big loss as it was for so many).
I realized, everyone takes their own time to grieve, and just because it takes me X days, that doesn't mean you shouldn't be afforded Y amount of days.
I hope it gets easier!

I know a Marine who died at 19, and my best friend passed at 33. I cannot say his life was cut short, but I understand the sentiment. I'm so glad he got to enjoy so much time, with so many AMAZING people.

Thank you so much for sharing this for those of us who don't live nearby and couldn't be there. This was beautiful I love seeing all those pictures! I'm guessing Brian was cremated? Not sure if they had his ashes there or not. Simply curious. Man... I never met Brian, but been a daily viewer since July 2018 and this just hit me so hard! I knew it'd hit me hard, but this has been pretty unexpected! Like I still keep breaking down. 😢 I lost my dad in April of 2019, he was only 58.... I do believe that it's linked along with some other factors and with everything combined, it just gets the best of me. But also... I'm still in shock that he was literally just here and now.... He's gone. He's supposed to be here. He's supposed to see The LegaSea Aquarium open! He's just supposed to be here is all. 😢 MY mind just can't seem to process that it's possible that He's really gone. It's so surreal. So sad. 💔

Unfortunately I didn’t know Brian & I only found his channel 2 days after he posted his last video saying goodbye. I bawled my eyes out, honestly it was so sad to see such a warm, wonderful, kind, generous, caring, intelligent & loving human being lose his life to cancer.
Life is just so unfair at times & all I can say is that it’s an enormous loss to mankind & to everyone he knew, to every animal & to reptile he loved, cared for & everything he did in his business!
I know that you’re in a better place now Brian where there’s no more pain, you’re at peace in Heaven enjoying the company of your family & friends that went before you. All the animals & reptiles are your company & I’m certain they’re keeping you just as busy!
Sending my sincerest condolences to the entire family & to the millions of people all over the world that you inspired! You truly were a special man Brian & you left a mark on this Earth that will have an everlasting impact for Centuries to come & your Legacy will live on forever!

I thank you so much for sharing this with us. It’s so hard to believe he is gone. But I really see him in Noah now and I didn’t before . He sound like Brian his mannerism is like his dads. There are so many things that are different and we all will miss him terribly but Noah and everyone else is doing such an amazing job at keeping everything going. Again ty for sharing!
