I am one of the many lives he saved 4 years ago with his anxiety video. I dreamed of growing up and working at senora desert museum. But life happened. I'm nearly 50 now and 1 thing Brian taught me was to never give up. I still watch and study every day and I still have hope that some day I will have my own little collection. You are a gift to us too. Some of us rattle on just to see the adventures you share and bask in your passion and love. Thank you ❤ And I promise to continue to take every opportunity to teach love and respect for our no legged friends.

The Senorian Desert is vast with so many species that I believe haven't been recorded yet. I once visited a place called Slab City in the Senorian Desert, and it's an interesting place, the desert iguanas that are white! Also, there are many sub species in that neck of the woods that are white also, I'm suspecting because temperatures reach highs of up to 130 degrees on these days, and those desert iguanas do not hide from that intense heat, they're running around in it! The temperature gradient is crazy, because in the winter it can be down into the high 50s and low 60s (for a short time) and up to 130 degrees in the summer, so the white adaptation that a lot of reptiles in that area have is really interesting. There is also a type of gecko out there, and toads. They have a white Gardner Snake out there, scorpions, vinegaroons, Desert Recluse Spiders, as well as a white snake I cannot identify that had sort of a leaf shaped head and nose, and the rattle snakes! They aren't any special color, but that place is chucked with western diamond back and sidewinders both of which I rescued on a regular basis. The vast array of wildlife there was astounding , and you would never see it all unless you stay there for about 9 months, it took that long for me to encounter all of that. Anyhow, you take care, I hope your dreams and wishes come true!

@@123Zara I grew up herping in central
arizona. My favorite catch was the collared (ring neck) lizard. I was about 10 when I finally caught one. They are fast and will run on their back legs. Now they are sold as pets. There are so many types of eco systems besides desert there. I think some one could spend a lifetime there and not see them all. My bucket list critter is the Gila monster of course. The museum didn't even have one when i was a kid. Slab city is on my to do list, I'm also a rock hounder so I'm sure I'll see lots of scorpions too. Thank you for the kind words and insight. I had no clue about the iguanas. Always and forever something to learn. The meaning of life 🙂

I then knew the direction to head back to my love of snakes. I believe he garnered way to much hate in this industry some from misunderstandings but a lot from pure jealousy. Dude you are 💯 % a true, kind spirit. Hard to find. Life is fragile and everyday we wake up is a blessing. Brian did have a good heart and I knew him and worked with him for years. My favorite moment was with him and another co-worker when we unveiled the scaleless ball python. He was so excited! It’s somewhere in the vids but point being he got so excited about something ppl would think is stupid but it was so awesome! Keep doing Vids buddy! Much love ❤️

Other than the vlogs on Brian's channel, I've held it together; here I am in tears. Dav, you're such an amazing man to sit in your vulnerability on camera. You and Brian were lucky to have such an amazing friendship. Sending you so much love during this time.

All I want to say is thank you for this. Once again I'm brought to tears at the loss of such a beautiful person. I prayed so hard every day several times a day. I just don't understand. I lost my sister to cancer she tried everything she was only 50. Another beautiful soul gone too soon.

Thanks for sharing Dav. I found your channel after watching Brian’s channel. I started watching Brian’s vlogs in 2016. I’ve watched every single vlog. It’s how I start my day.
It’s surreal that he’s gone. He was something special ❤

I’ve cried four times about Brian, and I’ve never even met him. He got me to like snakes when I was terrified, I followed him for years, and I followed your channel as well. Anyone in the reptile world is so sad right now and again I’m crying just making thisresponse he was such a phenomenal person. I’m so sad.

Survivors guilt is a real thing my dude. It hurts so bad, and it haunts us, but always remember that you can't get hung up on the roll of the dice in your life compared to others. Keep going, keep doing good because you can. Every day is a gift, and you give it back to so many. That was his legacy, and it's yours too. Deepest gratitude to Brian for all he's done, and deepest respects to his family.

I will say this, I never vibed with Brians content but it's very clear what a huge impact he had on the reptile youtube community. He seemed like a generous and caring person to so many people and I'm sorry to those who lost their guiding light.
