Twin Turbo JDM Mitsubishi Legnum VR-4 Review | A Wagon Like No Other

    Hey you guys! Today Marcus hops in a 2001 Twin Turbo Mitsubishi Legnum VR-4 to see what it's all about. Under the hood is a 2.5L transverse-mounted V6 mated to Mitsubishi's AWD system, sharing a lot of components with the Lancer Evolution platform of the time. It was a bunch of fun to drive this rare 5-speed wagon that can basically do everything from your Sunday drive through the twisties to the daily grind in traffic. Could this be the ultimate soccer mom/ family car?

    I have the 97' version. VR-4 TT as well. Was my first car and have had it since 2011 as a hand-me-down from my brother and is still going strong. I personally like the back on the 97 over this one. But overall very good car to drive . Also regarding barely seeing many of these. Come to NZ and they're everywhere haha

      It's a fast cruiser unlike the more famous rally/road Lancers. Engine is smoother, suspension is softer but still sporty. Proper wagon sized too unlike the Scooby WRX which is really a four door hot hatch.

      Justin McMullen The IHI VF turbos or the Mitsu td04s? Either way the amount of work to just start making power is a little depressing when you can just buy an Evo and make 300+ whp with just a fuel pump, tune, and exhaust.

    Wondering what it would take to get a solid 350whp out of this bad boy.

    • @JohnColeman-ul5rj
      @JohnColeman-ul5rj 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      BFMIC, bigger Y down pipe, 3" exhaust, Billet wheel turbos, Intercooler, slightly larger injectors, and tune wouldn't be surprised if this could easily be a 400whp daily. That suspension looks a little soft and would definitely do a stiffer CO setup and bigger sway bars.
