    Delicious, hearty, nourishing and simple. Vietnamese Spring rolls, or nem rán, chả giò, are made fresh and eaten while still piping hot. The savoriness and crunch of the spring roll combined with the fresh taste of lettuce and herbs and dipped into the tangy/spicy fish sauce makes for a meal that is both satisfying and fun to eat. This is why Nem, or Spring Rolls are one of the favorite foods of Vietnamese during festival days.

    Looks great, but printable recipe link leads to CARS. I don't want to make a car, I want to make Spring Rolls. Cars would be too difficult to eat.

    Why is your egg rolls golden brown color? Did you add sugar behind the scenes?

    It appears these have to be cooked immediately, I made some a day before and they stuck to the plate and to each other, any tips please? Thanks.

      Some people fry them half way until they are not crispy but cooked then freeze after so they are not sticky. They keep well in the freezer and can be fried from frozen.

      After rolling you want to keep all rolls completely separate or they will stick & cook immediately. Parchment paper or saran wrap on the plate or sheet should help with sticking in the short term.
