Super helpful! Mine started leaking like a dang sieve lately, turns out it was the front main seal. This video made my life much easier 😆 I’ll replace the VVT Solenoid seal next weekend just in case!
Honda wanted to change my front cover seal for that solinoid leak. To the tune of $1000 or so. I found my oil filter manifold leaking and a shop found that sol leak. Honda even diagnosed it wrong. Or were they just creating work. Not going back to find out.
Hi thanks very helpful mate.I need some help with my CRV.Have you come across CRV cant rev up to 1500 then dies straight away, sounds like blockage but cant tell where the blockage and what causing it to die when on idle.Your feedback and help would be much appreciated, mate.PNG follower.
@@salanau could be lots of things. Fuel pressure, valve timing, vacuum leaks. Check for any codes, and double check everything. Compression, spark, etc. Good Luck 👍
Shouold I add a little assembly lube or thin layer or oil on the inner or outer part of the seal when installing the new one? Any reason you did it dry?
The replacement seal seemed a little small, if it was over lubed on the outside the oil pressure might pop it loose, I had that happen to me before. Definitely put oil on the seal lips. Thanks for watching.
Lmao imagine a 22 year old car having an oil leak...
Yep people want to drive their cars forever you have to take care of everything after so many miles and after 20yrs time for seals to be changed
Is that front or rear crank seal don’t want to get the wrong one
@@LuisMontanez-z5k This is the front seal, Thanks for watching.

Be careful with the oil sending unit. It’s easy to crack the block where it screws in if you over tighten it. Then you are screwed.
