You can spend $40 every 20k for things like that AC clutch or $230 every 200k for an OEM Honda part. If it's easy to replace and can't cause a catastrophic failure then maybe. But when it's a pain to install then OEM is my go to. Typically electric and electronic parts I only use OEM.
I installed a $35 ac clutch on my 08 crv 2 years later the bearings went out and broke the front off the compressor. Should’ve spent the $$$ on the clutch the first time
My most recent noise that drove me nuts for 2 months was a rattling every time I hit a bump. I changed both front struts thinking it was that but it ended up being a bad sway bar link.
I did save some money buying it as a kit and figured might as well change the whole thing since I already had it apart but yeah I agree I could have saved some money just changing the pulley.
Is there no limit to this man's talents and abilities? E bikes, cars.
Thank you! If I feel others can benefit and learn from my experience I try to make a video about it!

Are those steel toe crocs?
@@neredneck7230 no lol.
I have all of those noises 😂 I think I have the same knocking noise from the engine. I have to check the clutch on the AC compressor.

@JeremiahMcintosh I had a similar issue, but in my case, it was loose.
I am having this issue with crv 2007
Has your Honda always had that clicking noise from the first minute of the clip?
I’m not sure what you mean, but in the first clip, the clicking was from the tensioner pulley.
You could have saved a lot of money by just replacing only the "tensioner pulley" and not replacing the entire tensioner assembly.
