I love teaching people how to fix things for themselves
Steering Noises
We have a Volvo in the garage that’s been making strange noises when the steering wheel is turned. One of the strut mounts is bad and I show how to install a new one.

2010 Harley Davidson sportster. Dave the owner of this bike is an unbelievably talented artist/craftsman. He covered this bike in hand tooled leather embossed with skulls, wings and intricate designs. Everything you see was done by him, it is a masterpiece that is driven and enjoyed often. does it matter if you put on a abs wheel bearing on a non abs car?

Which way does that gear adjust the light? In/out or u/down?
It’s been a while since I did this, but I think it’s up and down. Thanks for watching 👍
What an excellent video.

In the salt belt a mandate for brake and fuel lines to be stainless is a great idea and would not cost much more
Thanks for watching 👍
@@scrapdaddysgarage5027 just had the fuel lines replaced in a 2007 cost $780 and my 2006 four years ago cost $340 the mechanic told me GM raised the part price

I am currently in the process of converting my 65 Malibu SS from an automatic to a manual. I think what’s making it such a challenge is that I’m changing the entire drive train. The engine is going to be a Blue Print Engine, 383 Stroker, and 5 speed Tremec, all from Summit Racing. I have already installed the pedal conversion kit so the car has a clutch pedal now. That as far as I have gotten so far. I am trying to decide whether to go with a hydraulic setup for the clutch or the bell crank and push/pull rod way
If your engine block doesn’t have the casting for the pivot stud, go with a hydraulic setup. Thanks for watching👍
and how did you clean the outside of the AC evaporator?
In the part 4 video I explain what is done. A flushing fluid is blown through with compressed air.
@scrapdaddysgarage5027 on the outside of the evaporater? I will look for part 4 video.
@@stevenseefeldt7273 Sorry, the outside was cleaned with a mild detergent and hot water and a soft brush. Thanks for watching
@scrapdaddysgarage5027 thanks, you have great information. 👍
There is no solution given in this video. Waste of my time!
Read the first comment, brother.
Great video, you seem very knowledgeable!!!
Thanks for watching.
Where did you get the instructions you were following? I have a work master 70 that I need to replace the clutch in.
They came from the New Holland dealership I purchased the parts from. Thanks for watching.
Doing an AC overhaul on my Bostig 86 Westy, got a new gowesty condenser, drier, compressor and expansion valve. Not sure where to get replacement o-rings for the expansion valve though? We're in a small town so I've been trying to order the right rings, but not sure what the correct type and size is? Any ideas?
You can get universal kits online with multiple sizes for under $20. Thanks for watching 👍
Thanks for the tip! I see the universal kits for AC are green colored o-rings, but on the evaporator threaded ends it looks like a band flat ring type seal? If I'm using a new expansion valve would I use the new green type o rings instead of the flat band ring type like on the original?
@@JonALewis I used all green o rings on this rebuild. Check out the other ac videos I posted, there are four of them.
Shouold I add a little assembly lube or thin layer or oil on the inner or outer part of the seal when installing the new one? Any reason you did it dry?
The replacement seal seemed a little small, if it was over lubed on the outside the oil pressure might pop it loose, I had that happen to me before. Definitely put oil on the seal lips. Thanks for watching.

I love that. I just replaced my bold on my alternator last week, & it was a prick getting the nut on etc. That bracket looks like it would be easier to work while in the road. I’m loving your videos. Very simple, & easy to watch 👍👍

Fantastic - I was able to fix my 2009 CRV with this (and another video). So far so good. Couple of things to note from my project - The air filter housing base was a pain to slide out of the rubber holder on the far left corner. Seems like the trick is to pull it firmly straight up through it (and push it straight down through it during reinstall). I removed the battery too for better access. My crush washer (10mm) was stuck to the transmission housing and needed a couple of knocks from a flat head screwdriver to knock it loose. But other than that, it seemed to have worked so far. I drained the transmission fluid and replaced it with new fluid while I was at this. Drove around at different speeds and still no check engine light. Fingers crossed. Thank you for the video, very helpful.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback 👍
My 06 Gmc Duramax has the same symptoms. No abs light just annoying activation when coming to a stop. Last season did all brakes & rotors but this only started this spring so i'll get it on the hoist soon
