The important changes are the tech. Latest Infotainment instead of a 8 year old system, new suspension option, to make the car handle better, and adaptive cruise control as well as keyless go.

Adding more complicated tech to the Gwagon is not necessary. However, i guess Mercedes knows best.

I saw some electric G wagons charging behind a Mariott. Had some circuit board lookin camo. And they looked so unaerodynamic.

Someone who ordered a g550 back in 2021 and was told it would take roughly a year but it almost took 3 years to arrive I'm pretty annoyed because I paid $175k for a g550 with tech from a decade ago and now they released the new version 3 weeks after taking delivery and I still have not even put my plates on the car yet... All that said I did get the V8 in mind and the 550 variant now is a 500 with a V6 not sure if I would have chosen this car with the V6 over V8 with the new tech but still annoyed
The 550 was always the second coolest, after the G65. G63s are for cheesy music videos and housewives. The new v6 is now the least cool poverty/emissions spec and should be badged as a 300. Probably sounds like a hair dryer.
It's an inline 6, not a V6.
The new one has the new infotainment system, keyless entry, and adaptive cruise control. I would be pretty angry if I missed out on these much needed upgrades
@-SP. infotainment systems are getting progressively worse, adaptive cruise is nice but overrated, and keyless entry is potentially the single worst feature to be added to cars in the last 20 years.
@mouisehay930 Keyless entry isn't useless it's useful. Being able to walk towards a vehicle and just open it without having to actually press unlock is more ideal for push to start vehicles. This means you'll never have to dig for keys when entering and starting a car. Infotainment upgrades usually come with smother loading and transition speeds and with less lag during operation.

The G63 had a 25k increase in price since 2020?
Do you know if it at least got some options as standard now that it did not before?
Indeed, MSRP for the 2020 G63 was $156,450 - I believe MSRP for the 2024 G63 is $183,000 so the difference would be just over 25 grand ($26,550).
It will be interesting to see where pricing comes in for the 2025 model and what equipment, if any, is now standard that previously was optional. 👍🏼
@@powershot24 but the price difference for the entry level diesel is only 4k or so (from 24 to 25)

I much prefer what Land Rover and Ford have done with theirs.
The fake steelie looks so much better for this kind of thing. Not as heavy as a steelie but has the look and the side wall of the tire looks proportionate. 😅
