  • On Monday, pro-Russia protesters stormed a police station in the eastern Ukrainian city of Horlivka. VICE News correspondent Simon Ostrovsky was there as they seized the building. Inside, the demonstrators attacked a police officer accused of pushing someone out of a window while the person was trying to display a Russian flag. Later that day, a video emerged on the internet showing a man purporting to be a Russian army colonel giving orders to troops in eastern Ukraine. This is the first bit of evidence that there might already be Russian boots on the ground in the country.

As with every group on earth, most are a bunch of animals. But that guy who said "We are not Kiev!" and tried to protect the officer was a very admirable person.

I admire the dude who was shouting "we're not Kyiv guys!" trying to defend the policeman from the anger of the crowd.

I'm afraid to advocate for either side because they're both handling this terribly.

I admire how honorably the police are handling this, as opposed to firing into these violent psychopaths. I imagine not everyone would be quite so patient.

Why aren't we seeing this on CNN? This is what they should be showing the public.

"This weapon is state property!" Something tells the people who broke into a police station don't really care about whether something is state property or not. Anyway great video Vice. You guys should get some sort of reward for how well you guys have covered Ukraine.

Simon and his team is doing a ridiculously good job on their reporting. I have followed every episode and everything from the camera angles to Simon's comments are spot on. I think people will look back on these videos years from now and realize how you revolutionized journalism. Thank you.
