Raspberry Pi OctoPrint Powered by Ender3 3D Printer

  • Using the Ender3 Power Supply to also power a RaspberryPi running OctoPrint to make my 3D printer a cleaner and more elegant appliance like station. Nothing here is original by me, just a slight alteration to the original design to suit me.

    I would have gotten myself a 3x extension lead with a switch to turn both devices on and off at the same time, but that would probably not have netted me any bonus points for elegance.

    What was the reason for moving the power supply outside?

      The main reason was to reduce the amount of heat stress on the power supply itself. The enclosure holds heat in and removing it seems like the best course of action for the long term health of the PSU.
