Since we love elephants more than any other animal, Amboseli National Park is our favorite in terms of safaris. And let's not forget Mount Kilimanjaro which is simply stunning.
For this safari weekend getaway we stayed at Elephant Gorge Camp just a few kilometres from Amboseli National park. This safari camp has a stunning view of Kilimanjaro and also a water hole where animals, including elephants come to drink. The accommodations are very unique with a comfortable bed and instant hot water!

I was in Amboseli last year but one and we also stepped out of the tour bus and climbed that hill, so it is allowed they didn't break any rule.
Safety first! I just had to pee haha! We are super careful. We stopped in a flat area that was fully uncovered.

Im surprised you guys like self drive safaris. I hate it, you cant pay as much attention on the wildlife, are responsible for guiding yourself, etc. But you guys are probably masters of the area by now! lol
