gotta be best gaming phone design so far over all, love the small camera and not a whole module.. this design looks clean and minimal too if you get it in a non transparent back .
Floss is the only person on TH-cam that can keep an hour long video entertaining for the whole time

I love the bezel is exact size all the way around and a clean no camera hole punch or notch on top. Not too far away, this will be all phones.

The cameras are great too. I can't believe the headphone jack is on it. This phone gives me nostalgia of my old Sony Xperia ultra devices . Thanks man for the review

That's a hefty boy right there. I'm currently happy with my Samsung Note 20 Ultra, but when I feel like it's time to upgrade, I'll definitely be considering this phone. The price tag's not bad for what you get.

The sound effect for the cooling fan was kinda hilarious for me 😂 and caught me off guard, wasn't expecting it from redmagic but i love it since i have 6S Pro myself and its still a beast of a phone for gaming, but camera is decent nobody should expect it to perform like other flagships.

As a truck driver my phone is truly a lifeline. Looking at this gaming phone ,red magic, with it’s strong battery may be an option for us in this activity. I typically keep current Samsung plugged in all day as I’m running gps, email & checking on load alerts all day. Not to mention phone calls which help keep me woke & alert. The phone is literally ‘running’, in use 16-18 hrs. a day. Previously had LG V50 whose battery turned to mush so my charging activity really has to be monitored which is an added burden.
The thought came about periodically having a segment dedicated to truckers or others who daily fully utilize & have a dependency upon their phones above the normal. (😐 that may be the definition of some gamers, huh?)
This one and other gaming phones have charge separation, so you can have them plugged in without charging the battery. That way your battery doesn't degrade so fast
On your Samsung set the battery limiter so it Never charges past 85% . Should help A lot. I'm a truck driver also and it's been helpful doing that.
For ur use I would recommend doogee phones it's rugged smartphone battery is another level 🔥
@@life5161yeah 0-85% literally gives u about 0.3 of the full charge wear cycle that 0-100% does if ur a numbers guy and wanted to know why it helps so much

Don't think I can stop myself from swooping this up upon release, amazing price for awesome specs, and really want an in display camera, no annoying notch, should last a long time, and amazing battery size and charging, there's nothing here that isn't great because even the camera is supposed to be pretty decent for the main and I don't use it for anything that requires absolutely amazing best in class photo, some waterproofing would be good but still for $650 USD it's a steal

zte is killing it with there gaming phones with the 6000 mah battery, headphone jack and under the display as icing on the top, fast charger in the box with a case too

@@L_ightninng I gave up on softwares updates awhile ago, I don't trust software updates. When there are software updates, they are not 100% reliable and have bugs in them. I have my pixel 4a 5g, I never updated my pixel 4a 5g software at all except app updates from the google play store, even though I get the notification to update my pixel 4a 5g to android 13 and I still have my pixel 4a 5g at android. I would only trust software updates it there was 0 bugs and 100% reliable all the time. Unfortunately that won't happen because manufacturers update the software and have bugs in them on purpose with planned obsolescence so they can get as many customers as possible to buy a new phone every year. There is no way to keep the same exact software that the phone came with out of the box, once you do a software update on your phone if there are bugs that you noticed when you do a software update. I wish there was a way to roll back the software updates and have the software the same when the phone was taken out of the box. The manufacturers won't let this happen because people can keep there current phone as long as possible and manufacturers lose money that way. Manufacturers would rather have an expiration date on there devices than have there customers keep there phones for a very long time. I did an experiment with some of my phones that I did with software updates with and some of my phones that I never did a software update at all. The phones that I never did a software update lasted longer than the phones I did a software update to. Every time I did a software update with the phones that I did a software update with, I had to buy a new phone due to software updates bugs because of planned obsolescence. I kept the phones that I never did a software update, and sold the phones phones that I did a software update to. Everything with software nowadays have bugs in them. These are the things that have bugs in them, pc operating systems like windows 11, both video game consoles and pc games have bugs, graphics cards bugs from nvidia, amd and intel , software updates for phones have bugs, even bluetooth headphones once the manufacturer updates the software for bluetooth headphones to make the bluetooth headphones worse by causing the battery drain on purpose to sell a new model every year like smartphones.

Kinda giving me Razer phone vibes but with much thinner bezels and more attractive overall imo. That's one sexy phone, I might have to pick one up to replace my ROG phone 2 later in the year although perhaps it's best I wait a bit longer and see what other brands bring to the table this year.

Amazing hardware, but i remember buying their 6 pro and their software was buggy as hell and updates were stale.
Hope they worked on that because if it matched its software it would definitely be up there with the best phones excl camera.
It's better now, but still not good, probably won't get android 14 or 15 when those come out, probably about 2 years of security patches

By the way is that swiftkey that you are using. I've been using swiftkey with that same setup and color for around 7/8 years now😂

Needs expandable storage for gaming phone, especially if you are running emulators for playing the old school games like PS2, Gamecube, etc. The device does look incredible. I bet it would be fire in a telescopic game controller.
better get aya neo,steamdeck any windows handhelds. they got 512gb with sd card slot plus more powerful device. yes theyre around 1000usd but theyre probably better of you really plan to game a lot

Yup, that's why I just recently bought a OnePlus 7 Pro. I hate the punch hole design and never buying any phone without a full screen display. Lucky for me, I got this one brand new for a very good price.
Yeah, the phone is best when there you have a full screen. I have a Redmi K20 pro with the pop-up camera. Idk why companies are not making that kind of design again. People commented before how it is a bad idea but I haven't seen anyone complained that their pop-up camera is not working. Now that my phone is 3 yrs old, I'm just happy that Nubia released a phone with full screen display.

It's all about the details - from unboxing to fun little features you may never use, but still are there. I wish flagships were more fun to use these days - buy a new device, unless you're coming from 3-4 years old phone - you'll foget you "upgraded" after few days

I own the red magic 8 pro as well, it's insane. Major upgrade over the 7 in every way, definitely impressed. Battery life is insane too
On these phones 📱 do they work OK on traditional T Mobile and what not? Does Google and every app work right?
What about android updates? Do you get years of them? These are the reasons I haven't got one of these other brand phones. I do think they look sweet, but.
@@life5161 yes and yes. T mobile is very strong signal on the redmagic 8 pro. At my house I get very spotty t mobile signal on most phones, except a few, mainly samsungs work amazing, but this redmagic works super well and strong and reliable. Definitely works. And as long as you get the global version all Google apps will work 100%. I have china version which makes a few apps not work (Google chrome and weather app).
@@life5161 cant answer that for you, sorry. I don't keep my phones long, I just buy them and sell them. Haven't owned a phone for more than a year since my iphone 11 years ago lol. Oldest phone I have is my rog phone 5 pro and that still gets updates. It's not very frequently but they still receive them. I had the redmagic 7 when it first came out and I had it for like 6 months before I sold it and it got frequent updates. My rog phone 6 gets a few updates here and there but not like Samsung.
