Flagship specs and charger in the box. Internal memory is high enough for the competition being double the price.
Another deal breaker you will be stuck with an expensive flagship. Zte do not update these gaming phones. You get one major os update and thats it. They abandon it The bit rate sound is also very poor when recording video. You get what you pay for but i just wouldn't own a red magic gaming phone due to lack of updates!

@arjames26 they give you a minimum capable charger. I've used the same charger for my last 3 phones with a 60 watt brick.
I get it. They jip us with no charger and cables but come on. You're not really concerned about a $10. Charger over actual hardware advances?
You can buy a new charger. You have to wait a whole year to see if they change the hardware. Pick your battles man...
I fully agree that Samsung has been skimping on the accessories in the box. Yes Samsung is innovative only in software not hardware as they are copying apple in terms of sporting the same design. Furthermore the price in which Samsung are charging for their phones they should have at least put include the charging brick with the cable and a case. But Samsung and Pixel are too preoccupied with copying what Apple is doing to their consumers. SHAME
If they put the camera front facing camera under the display the photo quality looks like 🗑️.

Removing functionality as phones evolve never made sense to me. IR blaster is a must have, haven't been without it since galaxy S5. IR needs to be back in the US market.
Definitely, since Samsung been slacking with these overpriced overheating phones. I am so close to getting one. Mainly for the massive battery and IR blaster.

I have been using this great phone for 5 days. I was upset receiving, or not receiving notifications from apps. If anyone has the same problem, you need to enable them manually :
Setting/Battery/Apps AI-control.
In Manual control, select app, Allowed should be selected for 3 items.
Also, you need to go to each app info, and turn off:
Pause app activity if unused
These steps worked for me to receive notification on time.
If anyone has the same issue, and knows better way to fix this issue, let us know.

@@adembas5242 i saw someone playing ps2 games on aethersx2 with 4k resolution for 2 hours and battery was still at 85% and the person in question had the 9 pro plus that has less battery 5500mah.....
I really like that flat-edge brick-like design. The ROG Phone Ultimate is one of my favorite phones, but this design is better 🔥

It's like a more modern version of the Razer phone from 2017/2018 - loved it's flat design and metal back and sides, but for gaming it wasn't as comfortable in the hand due to the square sides, and I much preferred the ROG phone 2 and 5 I had later for comfort.

The only major weakness i could point out is the front facing camera, that under display camera produces horrible photo. But it's a gaming phone, so i guess the user probably not gonna care too much about selfie , it also makes the screen looks really clean too which is good for gaming.
This phone is a total package just like Floss!

I'm loving my redmagic 9. First one I've had. Moved from the pixel 7pro. I only miss the cameras on the pixel.... But the speed and charging.... It's a great phone. Love it

@@camotech1314 honestly the camera and the UI was my biggest concern making the jump. However I'm not mad at it. Redmagic has done a decent job about not being too heavy handed w their tweeks. The only thing I'm not a massive fan of in the UI is the built in anime girl and the over the top gaming stuff. Like the noise when you plug it in it does the car revving thing. Hahaha but you can turn off most of those things. You expect that when u buy a "gaming phone"
Preorderd a 7 Pro to see what it was all about. Just a garbage phone. Had poor signal right next to a tower. Got blazing hot. Screen was trash tier, low nits, yellow tint. The only good thing about a Pixel was the return policy. 100% refund and postage paid by Google. I will never try another Pixel. If they cant even make a clear phone call, whats the point of the rest.
@@Brdsh0t yeah mine overheated like no other too plus I got the yellow screen tint as well. My go to is usually oneplus. However they are going the way of Google and Samsung... Long gone are the days of a quality phone for a decent price.

Yeah, I think I just made my decision. I was really on the fence, especially since the front facing camera isn't the greatest. But that's a small price to pay for everything else this phone offers.

We shouldn't get rid of it at all. 8:40 2024 must be the year of the upgrade, AI is coming to your phone. 16:04 Those flash RGB lights must be on my phone, it's a must-have. 17:10 Perfect animations, I need that on my phone. 17:10 classic animation that is inside my phone that makes me feel my money is well spent. 17:35 Those fingerprint animations look magical, they're a must-have. 17:45 I love the screen wake effects it's a must-have. 20:48 The fan settings are Kool. 23:25 nowadays internal storage is sufficient for everyday tasks unless you're a photographer you may need extra storage.
And if you're a photographer you ain't gonna buy this phone soooo whatever
Flossy, I love it that many of the phone manufacturers are putting the IR blaster back on the phone.
One thing i really liked about this and 8s pro is the cutout for the cases. I used to have a note 10, both big phones but the wah how its thinner on the sides make it easier on the hands, especially if you got small hands

Im ok without ip67-68 water resistant. The amount power and specs you have to make some concessions for the price also. High on list for my next phone. Just waiting to see cases to fully cover the phone. Rhats what im waiting on. Actual case protection. Awesome review Flossy!
I would not hold my breath too much, if only because they 'need' to keep the shoulder buttons clear for your fingers to use the triggers for gaming, and they need to keep the fan vent clear as well or the cooling system is worthless. Maybe someone will figure out a way around that, granted, but that's how I see it at least.

First video from floss i ever watched was for the Zerolemon case for Galaxy S5 and loved it, definitely getting this phone, sucks that it has no SD card support though 😢 still, looks pretty solid, no bs gimmicks like with apple

For some reason, this phone's design and build remind me of the old Sony phones from the early-to-mid 2010s
BTW, I really like this phone's design; flat sides with a little bevel, no camera bump at all, etc.

Great review as always, the design/form factor on this is making me consider moving on from Samsung
ROG 8pro will be the first to have wireless charge and IPS68 water dust resistant on a gaming phone.
So red magic 9 pro might lose it crown.
No ROG PHONE 8 pro lost this year for various reasons
- No more true stéreo front speakers
- Ugly punch hole camera
- no more bezels and these were actually usefull for gaming
- a downgrade battery size with only 5500 instead of the 6000 mah
- no Quad Dac
- the aeroactive cooler for this generation has only 2 triggers instead of 4 and no longer has the boombox subwoofer in the cooler
- the price is higher than last year
- the design is cringe
- Nubia might make 3 years of Major Android update on this serie because they already promised this on the nubia Z60 ULTRA which is basically a more camera sided red magic
