I just like the selfie camera being non existent. Ive always hates the dot and notch and would love to utilive the full screen. Camera has literally no importance for me however I wish it was the more flagship phones that had it and not this one phone.

Probably my favorite review from a neutral perspective of the new Redmagic 8 Pro. For the price unless you're a gamer wanting to experiment with many different games it's not worth the investment. However. If emulation is your thing. The Redmagic phones in general are excellent at emulator stuff.

@@badrsaaidi8108 throttle. Redmagic is consistent. I can't speak about the new Samsung S23 Ultra but consistency is proven true with the newer era Redmagic smartphones. The entire 7 Series and 8 series in particular.
It's at a really good price. I got it for like 640 or something on their website. It's pretty much the same price as their 7s pro currently but with an upgraded processor and I think the GPU is better too.
Gaming isn't all about candy crush or other games that don't stress the SoC at all, this is in fact a great emulation phone to be used as a handheld for example (only missing the micro sd slot, other than that, can't complain much), which would be my primary reason for purchasing it.
Very excited about this phone, think it looks great, love the new design, love the completely full screen, and awesome battery life and fast charging, not too mention its only $650 USD for top of the line specs, I don't care about the gaming part, it's just a great bonus for no added cost, it's extra features and when was that a bad thing? Also don't understand how people are so picky about the camera, no one actually cares if your pictures of food look slightly sharper, 50MP is still so much better then what was around 5-10 years ago in the mainstream

I have had it for about 4 months and no issues. It gets a little warm but the game play is amazing and no crashing no glitches nothing. It works great. I'm lucky that I have a working gaming phone and let me tell you game mode is amazing!

I have been looking for everywhere to find out whether that red slider button could be reprogrammed to have other functions from the gaming specific original one, it's a huge bummer that it can't be. How could Nubia miss an opportunity like that? I am not a gamer, I never play on my phone, so I am considering this mobile as a non-gamer phone for myself. But that red button that would be completely useless for me is really bugging me. Pixel ticks none of these boxes, and has one of the worst efficiency with its tensor soc amongst current phones. Also cut out notches on screen or cut out hole is a huge eye sore for me, but this one could be negotiable if all other mentioned specs are there.

Nokia n gage was a gaming smartphone with a special keyboard for gamers. Modern smartphones 'for gamers' do not have a real features for gamers... Maybe they should add something like gameing pad frame to the phone, so you can put on phone to this frame and play like on switch or steam deck... But anyway, the mobile games library isn't exciting. Depends of the personal needs of course...

It's not like by not focusing on bezels and punch holes you are magically going to achieve great battery life. Qualcomm is already trying it's best by making an more efficient architecture every generation, and batteries are larger and larger every year. If the software your phone runs sucks, there is little the phone maker can do I'm afraid. But at least they can make a more sleek looking phone with less bezels and no punch hole!
Man i have a problem with my RedMagic 8 pro..I have turn off auto light but when i play games in dark enviroment the light of screen drop lower .How can i fix it?
Well it a gaming phone so not having a good camera is within my expectation cause it for gaming. The frame rate is pretty stable using this device and u can compare it with other good camera devices like samsung s22 or iPhone 13-14 the frame rate will not be as stable as this red magic 8 pro in long session of gaming.
I like to shoot the occasional photo, and this just isn't it for me. Also the vents are a major turn off because I work in a very dusty environment and it would this phone
I think the biggest problem with these phones is the fact that they only offer about a year of software support. If they're trying to market it as effectively a mobile gaming PC, they need to treat it as such. Computers need software support and so do mobile phones.
please don't hide the cameras under the screen or anywhere else because people will stop trusting any screens because there is a hidden camera there too

Camera is very bad, front and back! Speakers lack clarity and the design is not something you can say wow! So, this phone is just for kids, to play games, not for someone that want all-in-one package!
I love the design of this smartphone, the matte black version, and especially the full screen aspect 🤩. But, even at $800, this smartphone has no interest compared to a Vivo X90 Pro+ which is a much much more complete smartphone and just 3 - 4% less powerful at $900 - $1000, this smartphone could have some interest only if it is sold around $650 internationally for the 256G version, and even there, since the OnePlus 11 is announced around $650 - $700, and that it has the same processor with much much better software / software monitoring and is better in photo-video, sincerely I do not understand the opportunity of this Redmagic 🤷🏽♂️
The key word here is 'sustained load'. When gaming (or doing any GPU/CPU demanding task) the Redmagic 8 Pro can sustain the same level of performance overtime, while other phones with the same processor could not, due to thermal throttling. This phone also has the best gaming suite that offers a plethora of useful (and downright cheating) utilities when gaming, such as color inverter and zoomed-in sniping mode. Not to mention it turns into a console-like system when plugging it in into a display. That's where the money is spent, on the software and hardware that matters ONLY for gaming. 🤣
Oneplus or X90 will throttle if you are literally playing PUBG for 90 mins straight or Genshin for 60 mins. It'll easily hit upper 40s in celsius. Redmagic will keep it near 40 max.

the matte version of the redmagic 8 pro has a fairly subtle look imo, especially by gaming phone standards you could just get a case that completely hides the design as for gaming laptops, the HP victus looks relatively clean, it's the one i've got

GAMES AND APPS WILL GET BIGGER. BUT THE DEVELOPERS DONT WANT U TO HOLD ON TO YOUR PHONE SO THEY TOOK OUT THE REASON/FEATURE THAT PEOPLE KEEP THEIR PHONES. STORAGE. MY OLD PHONES WITH SD CARDS SLOTS. THE INTERNAL IS FULL UP AND IT BARELY HAS GAMES OR APPS. BUT EXPANDIBLE STORAGE GIVES THOSE PHONES MORE USE. THE DEVELOPERS DONT WANT U DO THAT. SO THEY REMOVE. WHEN THAT TIMES COMES. THEY EXPECT U TO UPGRADE YOUR PHONES INSTEAD OF BUYING SD CARDS. THEY DONT GET MUCH SALE. SO THEY REMOVING FEAUFURES THAT MAKE PEOPLE HOLD ON TO THEIR PHONES. SD CARD/HEADPHONE JACK ETC.

Camera is very bad, front and back! Speakers lack clarity and the design is not something you can say wow! So, this phone is just for kids, to play games, not for someone that want all-in-one package!
Its all about the screen display the camera is ugly..
I love the design of this smartphone, the matte black version, and especially the full screen aspect 🤩.
But, even at $800, this smartphone has no interest compared to a Vivo X90 Pro+ which is a much much more complete smartphone and just 3 - 4% less powerful at $900 - $1000, this smartphone could have some interest only if it is sold around $650 internationally for the 256G version, and even there, since the OnePlus 11 is announced around $650 - $700, and that it has the same processor with much much better software / software monitoring and is better in photo-video, sincerely I do not understand the opportunity of this Redmagic 🤷🏽♂️
The key word here is 'sustained load'. When gaming (or doing any GPU/CPU demanding task) the Redmagic 8 Pro can sustain the same level of performance overtime, while other phones with the same processor could not, due to thermal throttling.
This phone also has the best gaming suite that offers a plethora of useful (and downright cheating) utilities when gaming, such as color inverter and zoomed-in sniping mode. Not to mention it turns into a console-like system when plugging it in into a display.
That's where the money is spent, on the software and hardware that matters ONLY for gaming. 🤣
Its 642$ for the matte version so Redmagic 8 pro is way better than all the smartphones u mentioned and cheaper too 🥱
Oneplus or X90 will throttle if you are literally playing PUBG for 90 mins straight or Genshin for 60 mins. It'll easily hit upper 40s in celsius. Redmagic will keep it near 40 max.

A smartphone is for me an all in one, communication, PDA, mini pc (Dex and ReadyFor) and also a photo-video camera...
And with all the information and data that we have today on our smartphones, I can't afford to have a smartphone that will be updated for only 2 years with a lot of luck, and that does not receive updates security checks on a regular basis.
The day Gaming smartphones will have decent cameras and real software and above all security monitoring, I will be the 1st to buy them, I can guarantee it, but in the current state of things, nope ❌️!!!

All these gaming smartphones or notebooks have typical "12 year old gamer" design (FULL OF RGBs, ULTRA HARDENED CASE (full of plastic ofc) DESIGNED LIKE HOOD OF A CAR/ A FIGHTER JET/WHATEVER ELSE THAT LOOKS ULTRA COOL) - it's dissappointing we don't have a things with good hardware for gaming and also designed like normal stuff, not some childish thing

the matte version of the redmagic 8 pro has a fairly subtle look imo, especially by gaming phone standards
you could just get a case that completely hides the design
as for gaming laptops, the HP victus looks relatively clean, it's the one i've got
