Hell, even now, the hit in image quality on the selfie cam is very noticeable and iphone users are going to be the last ones wanting that.

Also to mention that you can connect a mouse and keyboard to the device, play one game on the phone and connect via HDMI to a monitor to run another game, best part is that if you are low on battery and don't like to play while charging you can set the device to only power the device with the charger so it does not shorten the battery life. Very innovative gaming device.

Watching on my OnePlus 7pro. This is the first phone in a long time that I've seen that I would upgrade to. Deffo downplayed the front camera behind the screen, the display and speakers are certified dope.

How many os generation can one upgrade to, what's the durability like? I'm currently using black shark 4, but the battery life for bs 4 is poor.

Lew - Totally unrelated to the video, but got my S23 Ultra, slapped a Latercase on it and am a happy camper. This is my third phone I've put into a Latercase and am always pleased with the grip, button cutouts, and appearance. Just a great product that keeps the phone nearly identical to its original size and weight. It really doesn't feel like the phone is in a case. Very impressive.

This is SUBSTANCIALLY cheaper than I expected (which was like $1800) I am super interested by any hidden reasons behind the glorious $650 price tag? If not, i may get this!
The price of redmagic phone always around + -$600 except for 6/6pro. Flagship chipset/screen however the camera is just mid range level and with no waterproof resistance.

No punch hole full screen is always so satisfying to see, plus headphone jack. Guess I'll get some gaming phone in the future if they keep it like that lol

I love my Red Magic 8 Pro. It has a significant performance difference in power consumption and thermals compared to my old Red Magic 7 Pulsar

@@MferChris if the RM7 uses a Snap Dragon 8 Gen 1, then yes but if the chip is Snap Dragon 8 Gen 1+, then it's up to you since 1+ fixed the thermal issue.
Snap 8 Gen 2 for RM8 is overall superior in Performance, power consumption, and thermals

Man! I love that screen! No cameras interrupting the screen! I still have my 12/256 Nebula Blue OnePlus 7 Pro, but don't use it as my daily driver anymore. (No more OS updates after Android 12) It' still works like new though. I switched to iPhone when the 14s were launched. NGL, this Red Magic phone almost has me regretting my decision ... almost.

I have this phone in matte version and I can tell you that my pixel 7 Pro, and S23 ultra don't hold a candle to this device besides cameras, which I don't really use anyway, this monster is a beast! And it only cost me $609 👍👍👍👍

The 8 now having the Samsung based sensor on the main camera is a huge jump from the 7 series. I've had this phone for a week, and love everything about it.

@@ohlalalala1000 fair enough but nothing in my comment remotely said or compared it to a flagship phone. I simply said its a great phone and that the camera IS a noticeably good jump of an improvement from the RedMagic 7 Pro.
Couple of other comments for added clarity.
Not everyone cares, wants, nor can afford or wants to blow a wad of cash on flagship phones. Not everyone has a need for a flagship. I certainly wouldn't want my 10yr old to have one and it would be overkill for my 75yr old father.
110% this is geared, marketed, designed with the gamer as its prime target audience. And given that, RM 8 Pro - has simply raised the bar for Asus, Black Shark, and others to respond to. I'm NOT a gamer, but I wanted the power, capacity, etc and can appreciate the hardware for what it is.
Now - if you're a selfie freak, vlogger, pro photographer that uses your phone as one of your tools and you want/need/value a flagship camera setup then yeah, this phone isn't for you.
Flagships are $1200-1600 depending on storage/brand. In my opinion the RM 8 Pro is a quality piece of tech and for anyone shopping for the best bang for the buck in the $600-800 (HALF a competing flagship with same storage) this phone with its features, power, battery life, storage capacity (and speed), and yes - even the camera setup - make it a top choice.

I own the phone, and it's is phenomenal in performance and response. Any app i run, or game, it's snappy and have no issues with the phone yet.

@@neocyte85 it's simple, like stock Android 13. Not bloated with anything, just the basic apps. And of course to go into the Red magic launcher, or you hit the switch, or if you just want to play a game you go straight to the app and the Red magic features will still be there even with the switch off. Also I recommend enabling the app drawer, just to keep the home screen clean
Also ZTE did the impossible with the Red magic 8 pro, the under display camera. Samsung couldn't do it.

As a owner of this phone, I will say it is an experience for it's price tag. Only draw back is the hidden camera, seeming that it is under a screen it makes photos seem a little dull but with time it should improve
