Lew - Totally unrelated to the video, but got my S23 Ultra, slapped a Latercase on it and am a happy camper. This is my third phone I've put into a Latercase and am always pleased with the grip, button cutouts, and appearance. Just a great product that keeps the phone nearly identical to its original size and weight. It really doesn't feel like the phone is in a case. Very impressive.

And of course to go into the Red magic launcher, or you hit the switch, or if you just want to play a game you go straight to the app and the Red magic features will still be there even with the switch off. Also I recommend enabling the app drawer, just to keep the home screen clean
The 8 now having the Samsung based sensor on the main camera is a huge jump from the 7 series. I've had this phone for a week, and love everything about it.

I certainly wouldn't want my 10yr old to have one and it would be overkill for my 75yr old father. 110% this is geared, marketed, designed with the gamer as its prime target audience. And given that, RM 8 Pro - has simply raised the bar for Asus, Black Shark, and others to respond to. I'm NOT a gamer, but I wanted the power, capacity, etc and can appreciate the hardware for what it is. Now - if you're a selfie freak, vlogger, pro photographer that uses your phone as one of your tools and you want/need/value a flagship camera setup then yeah, this phone isn't for you. Flagships are $1200-1600 depending on storage/brand. In my opinion the RM 8 Pro is a quality piece of tech and for anyone shopping for the best bang for the buck in the $600-800 (HALF a competing flagship with same storage) this phone with its features, power, battery life, storage capacity (and speed), and yes - even the camera setup - make it a top choice.
I have this phone in matte version and I can tell you that my pixel 7 Pro, and S23 ultra don't hold a candle to this device besides cameras, which I don't really use anyway, this monster is a beast! And it only cost me $609 👍👍👍👍

Man! I love that screen! No cameras interrupting the screen! I still have my 12/256 Nebula Blue OnePlus 7 Pro, but don't use it as my daily driver anymore. (No more OS updates after Android 12) It' still works like new though. I switched to iPhone when the 14s were launched. NGL, this Red Magic phone almost has me regretting my decision ... almost.

As a owner of this phone, I will say it is an experience for it's price tag. Only draw back is the hidden camera, seeming that it is under a screen it makes photos seem a little dull but with time it should improve
6000 mAh battery with high end hardware is a decent phone to own. I also like the full screen without any unnecessary occupation of needed screen by camera hole.
I like the CSGO bomb diffused sfx And RM8pro is such a clean design and so boxy, the UDC is fantastic for people like me who doesn't take Selfies and only need them for Face unlock... And This might be the Xperia we needed.
I really wish cellular telephones were made with communication in mind, instead of stpd games. They play games better than they can stay connected, or have a clear connection. It's getting ridiculous.
I want to buy this phone so bad, but the huge problem with this, and the first gen Red Magic phone is there is not a single phone case on the market that provides FULL protection, back and FRONT of their phones. My first gen Red Magic phone fell off my prep table at work, and landed on just the tiniest raised corner of tile, maybe a couple of centimeters face down, and completely shattered the screen. Not the first time I'd dropped it, dropped it at least 2 times before that, but that one last time was all it took. It needs an otterbox style 2 piece case that locks together for full all around protection. Blows my mind that they'd put that much work and design into such an amazing oled screen, and not make their first priority afterwards be to find a way to design a case that fully protects it. In my line of work, I cant have anything less than an otterbox.
I really hope it's better than my redmagic 6 pro because I regret buying it every single. Almost no updades except the occasional security patches. The triggers lack proper haptic feedback. The haptics in general are week and the cameras are terrible. The speakers are mediocre as well. It's worth noting that before I bought it, nobody mentioned any of that. My previous phone was an Asus Rog 3 and it was fantastic except for the cameras, they were terrible too :D Would love to see the 8 Pro though. Perhaps they've improved.
Kinda sucks that it’s has no ip rating, unlike other phones with vents like the rog 7 ultimate which at least has ip54. would have been cool to see a design where air is pushed over a conductive surface instead of straight to the circuitry, or even just a rubber piece that can be placed over the fan grill
I love this RedMagic Pro, I wouldn’t use it for gaming, just need the ability to run very heave apps for work. I have a ASUS Rog high-spec for work and I need the ability to run high spec programmes, so this would pair brilliantly. The iPhone and even S22 Ultra crashes. The ability to get a device with 16gb ram helps here.

My previous phone was an Asus Rog 3 and it was fantastic except for the cameras, they were terrible too :D Would love to see the 8 Pro though. Perhaps they've improved.

Kinda sucks that it’s has no ip rating, unlike other phones with vents like the rog 7 ultimate which at least has ip54. would have been cool to see a design where air is pushed over a conductive surface instead of straight to the circuitry, or even just a rubber piece that can be placed over the fan grill
I love this RedMagic Pro, I wouldn’t use it for gaming, just need the ability to run very heave apps for work. I have a ASUS Rog high-spec for work and I need the ability to run high spec programmes, so this would pair brilliantly. The iPhone and even S22 Ultra crashes. The ability to get a device with 16gb ram helps here.
A Qualcomm snapdragon 8 gen 2 with a headphone jack and a charger shipped in the packaging....... sounds taboo nowadays, thanks to iphone with it's bullshiit
