Howdy again folks! Here's a link to the airbag jack a few of you have asked about www.amazon.com/shop/autoedits/list/29FURZA60A89N?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d
Hi I like the return to vintage. On the two tone I suggest painting the roof gold and using a gold stripe kit on the side Instead of the expensive full paint job
Thank you for getting rid of that 90’s grille! Haha Here’s an idea, maybe go with a granite dark grey or something for the middle of the side of the truck for the original 2 tone look, until you paint the whole thing. Could even have a wrap shop do it. Nice wheel choice, I even like the vintage looking tread design
Those wheels are a great modern take on the old 15" K9 rally wheels. They look really nice. And I know the "billet" grill was a factory option, but I prefer the grill you just installed, which is very similar to the grill my dads '75 C20 had when I was growing up. Sadly that truck ultimately rusted away as the early square bodies had an issue with rust in the rear bed sides. So even here in California the truck was mostly rusted up by the mid 90s.
Dude you're always making videos with impeccable timing! I just bought an 03 Tahoe I'm working on as a daily/ camping 4x4 and have been looking for wheels. These are awesome! Truck looks awesome!
Love the wheels, and we certainly needed another good vintage styled option for 8 lug wheels that isn't in the dreaded 16.5" size. I don't care for the vision logo on the center caps, but they look really good otherwise!
Those wheels really suit the body style. Have you ever considered something like monstaliner? A tintable bedliner to protect her where it will be a work truck?
Looking great !! Those wheels are so perfect, no trim ring just polished, light weight and awesome stance. The other grille was nice enough but I really like going back to the factory look Very nice 👍👍👍
Looks amazing, dude! I’ll admit…I’ve never been too keen on the old truck….in its previous form. But now? I’m all in!! I know money is an issue, but if you are ever able to go 2 tone on the paint…*chef’s kiss* Love it!
What is that airbag jack from 7:19 - 7:25 & where did you get it from? That looks really neat because it looks like you have the same issue as me where I don't have enough space behind my truck to use a regular floor jack when it's in the garage bay; having an airbag like that would enable me to safely get all 4 wheels off the ground when I need to.
We had a ‘78 baby blue heavy half, I think with the same rear bumper, on our farm. Brings back memories 😁. We had the 350 with the turbo 400 tranny. I did my first break jobs, fan clutch replacement, and harmonic balancer replacement on that truck. Between two teenage boys driving it and half the time pulling a trailer, we put 250K on it before having to rebuild the motor.
Hey Jason. That truck looks amazing with the stock grill, white paint and chrome accent. You sure you want to repaint it? I see you waxed it, paint has that super wet look. Your audio is a little off.. new mic?
I kind of liked that gold color but the white doesn't bother me at all. It is hard to get movie work because white vehicles look awful on camera. So that was part of the inspiration. And yes... new lav mic and it SUCKS! ugh
Amazing mixing of music and action when the tires were getting mounted. Well done! Also, you have some amazing Custom rigs. I love that you're also incorporating more "Stock" rides as well. You've been pretty clear on the direction you plan on taking each vehicle in your fleet. Keep that up, and keep doing what you're doing!
Your truck looks awesome! The video was fun to watch and helpful. I'm looking to put 30 inch tires using 15x6 stock C10 steel wheels on my 85 long bed. Old school look with a safe comfortable ride.
Looks great and I'm not a Chevy guy! If you notice, the new entry level GM pickups have a steel wheel that looks very similar. I wish you could still buy a truck! Just a truck, not a $100k luxury computer on wheels. Something with A/C. and a non computer controlled V8. No power windows, locks or anything for $20k. Something you don't have a stroke if you scratch it. If one of the big three would do it they would go like hot cakes.
The wheels are awesome!! Perfect addition then the grill…. I got excited when I saw it come out of the box. That was the perfect update. Great Job Jason!
Really look great on the truck and seems to be an affordable wheel opposed to higher end brands out there. I wouldnt mind running a set on my 84 k10. I think id like the 20x10 on 35s.
But you like it. The truck is great My opinion if it matters Under coat the truck Spray the wheel wells Paint the frame Spray in Bed liner This is coming from a Wisconsin guy who wouldn’t want to see this truck rust. I still think a lift new springs spindle lift in the front Coil spacers Make it an old school pre runner And the hitch for the trailer. And a Sliding rear window.
I saw you respond to another comment saying you were adding LED conversion to your to do list, I'll warn first to stay far FAR away from the holley retro's... they nearly set my 1969 triumph on fire and were built like crap from the start, and holley in only a slightly more professional manner told me to go fornicate myself when I called in to voice my concerns. I now have bangin headlights installed and am much happier, not as good as modern car headlights but I think that's just the limitations of 7" rounds and probably a lot more tolerable to oncoming traffic, plus they're built like old sealed beams too (nearly indestructible).
Interesting to hear this! From the price point of the holley retros I would assume they were really high quality... bummer to hear the aren't up to the task. What is the brand you went with?
@@AutoEdits It appears my previous reply got deleted because I included a link to the headlights I have, the brand is "bangin headlights" website by the same name. I thought the same about the Holley retrobrights, especially considering I, and my family starting with my grandpas 1952 Pontiac Chieftain, have always run their carburetors and multiple friends have their electronic systems which they like and haven't had issues with. However, for some reason my retrobrights melted and nearly set my underhood sound insulation on fire.
Transmission fluid and engine oil cooler, add a leaf or air bag help springs, maybe elastic shackles if they make them for this truck, leds all around, electric fan conversion for more power and kill mat insulation?
Hey thanks. There are services to register with to book vehicles in film and tv but I don't use them (yet). I just self submit on a website called Casting Networks and also signed up with Central Casting. So I don't focus primarily on working with the vehicles. Hope that helps!
Hella clean look with the new rims & tires!! Another great garage video. I love your commitment to DIY auto care. I hope to pass that on to my kiddos so they can save money where they can. It's those life skills that they don't teach in school.

Literally the perfect wheel for that vintage square body styling. Love it!
I totally agree!
That front grill is so much better. That truck looks like a proper square body. I prefer the white over the original colours.
I really like the white as well but just think going back to original would be more personal to me and the family.
Yes, the grille makes it! Great job!!
Yes it does!
Those rims are perfect and the grill is the icing on the cake!
I think so too!
Id do a goose neck, so you dont loose the use of the bed
Excellent suggestion!
Awesome square body. Love the wheels. I love the solid white but I also love a two tone. My dad had a 77' two tone brown, 250k miles still ran great.
That's cool!
Grill change was my favorite part of the video
It had a fantastic impact on me as well.
love that stock look, I'm sure that truck can sell fast if you ever sell it.
American trucks .....best designed, amazing looking 🎉
Right on!
it was very beautiful, top 👏👏
Looks GREAT! You should get someone to make you some Chevy decals/stickers that fit in the center caps.
That's an awesome idea! 🤘
Thank you for getting rid of that 90’s grille! Haha

HA! I'm really stoked on them!
Love the wheels, and we certainly needed another good vintage styled option for 8 lug wheels that isn't in the dreaded 16.5" size. I don't care for the vision logo on the center caps, but they look really good otherwise!
I agree... looking for retro 8 lug made it tough. The logo on the center cap is an easy swap 👍
Those wheels really suit the body style. Have you ever considered something like monstaliner? A tintable bedliner to protect her where it will be a work truck?
Thanks for the suggestion!
Wow! Finally found the wheel for my lowered 85 Sierra 3500 crew cab. Beautiful! Thank you!! What was the price on those?
Old school look for the old girl, looks great!
Yeah buddy!
Looking great !!
Those wheels are so perfect, no trim ring just polished, light weight and awesome
stance. The other grille was
nice enough but I really like
going back to the factory
look Very nice 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
The wheels look really nice on your truck.
New grill and side dump exhaust are q nice touch too.
Thanks!
Awesome! Now all it needs is a 454 under the hood.
Truth!
its gotta be an old classic Airstream but i dont know if they made a fifth wheel version of them.
I like how you think!
Looks amazing, dude! I’ll admit…I’ve never been too keen on the old truck….in its previous form. But now? I’m all in!! I know money is an issue, but if you are ever able to go 2 tone on the paint…*chef’s kiss* Love it!

@@AutoEdits Thank you so much. I am definitely ordering one as soon as a few checks I'm owed clears.
Would rather have your truck than a '24 silverado
🤘

I dig hearing that kind of story about a vehicle!
Such a great looking truck! Another great video! Thanks
You bet!
I like it. And like the full bed. Truck looks and sounds great
Thanks 👍

I see now. Two tone gold with the brown interior would look good too. Follow your gut, if it’s in the cards, make it happen.

Glad you like it!
Looks great! Those wheels are awesome, and the new grille really brought it home! 👍🏼👍🏼
I think so too!
I like this truck so much better!
I like hearing that!
Dude, looks great!! Nice work
Thanks a ton!
Perfect!! That is so nice!! Tires and wheels are awesome!!
Thanks 👍
Love the recessed lug nuts with the bolt on cover. So clean! That air bag jack is also pretty sweet

Beautiful square body truck. I love them old trucks.
Me too!
Those are awesome. Modern sizes with that vintage look
YEP!

I think your K10 would look great with that setup!
Those look good, just needs a bowtie center cap to be perfect. The 20's and up I've seen from other manufacturers look goofy.
I agree!
Looks like a million bucks
Love this, thanks!
Fantastic look, well done Jason
Thanks 👍
Beautiful ride Jason
Thanks!
Wowwww looks real Good 😮
Yeah 👍!
Looks great! Wonder if anyone makes bowtie decals for center caps?
Pretty sure that's not a hard get on amazon.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I LOVE EVRYTHING!!!! TOTALLY AWSOME UPGRADES EVERYWHERE!!!!
The Grill is the Cherry on Top 👌
YEP!
Cool video like the original style wheels even if it’s 18” x 9”
That was my intention. Looks somewhat original but leaves me room for big brakes from a modern truck.
Cool old truck !
I think so too!
This truck looks amazing 👏 🤩 brother!!!
I think so too! Thanks dude!
Awesome job
Thank you! Cheers!
Where do you park all these cars? What’s the cost of insurance and registration on all these cars in California?
Garage and side yard... A LOT and A LOT It's not cost effective to live this way.

Side question Where is the Tahoe? I was liking that build as an overlander rig.
Very very nice 👍 👍
Thanks 🤗
Wow that looks awesome enjoy your truck thanks for sharing with us
Thanks 👍
Love it..
Thanks 🤘
Those look great! I wonder if they make newer patterns? Id love a set on my 02.
Head on over to the website... they got a lot of wheels... lol
Those wheels make your look great. Good choice!.
Thanks 👍
Congratulations
Thanks!

I'm pretty much just gonna copy this comment into my "to do" list! 🤘
@AutoEdits also maybe a larger aluminum radiator for more cooling like the transmission fluid and oil cooler to support maxing out a tow rig?
Hey Jason, another great video. Question, how do you get period correct vehicles for T.V and movies? Is there an agency or something?

I agree 👍

Heck yeah what big difference
Thanks, I'm digging it so much!
I wonder if you could replace those hub stickers with high quality chevy logo sticker?

THANK YOU, VISION WHEELS!!!! THEY LOOK TOTALLY AWSOME!!!! A GREAT UPGRADE FOR ANY C10!!!!
Sick 🤙🏽
🤘
DON'T PAINT IT!!! ITS BEAUTIFUL AS IS, A NICE BLACK PAINT PIN STRIP, BLACK FOR THE JEEP!!! NO PAINT!!!
Why are you yelling at me?🤣
Do the center Chevy logo
I LOVE WORK TRUCKS!!!!
I’d get some original caps on that asap. Or have a custom chevy laminated round sticker made to cover up the wheel company logo.
I don't feel the need to rush but some bowtie stickers will look nice.
Looks real good!!!👍
👌

You need a rubber duck hood ornament. Just saying
LOL
