Anycubic Kobra Max Cura Printer Setup and Settings profile setup guide

this is short video that will help with the initial setup of your Anycubic Kobra Max onto the Cura platform and selecting the Printing profiles that can be found on you micro SD card as supplied by Anycubic.

minor changes will need too be made suiting your requirements
please choose Kobra max Cura 5.1 files download them and then follow this video has been tested against both 4.12 and cura 5.1

You can also just select the Anycubic Chiron profile that's already on there. It has the same bed size and it's working great with my Max. :)

I have an extra question, did you ever try to use your printer with 0.8mm nozzle ? If yes, could you share your settings ?

Thank you! This really helped getting me up and running today - It's a shame that Cura 5.0 doesn't have the profiles for the Kobra Max yet - I saw that they pulled the files from Github :(

Thanks for this info I really appreciate it. I just bought the Kobra plus but I can find it on the aura software. I was told to use the max settings but honestly im way to new to figure it out. Can you please help me setting my Kobra plus on cura ? I’d really really appreciate it.
Here a challenge : Do you think you could use CHEP's optimized Cura 5.1 profiles and tweak them for the Kobra Max? Maybe even optimizing them for a 0.6 nozzle?
My Kobra Max is still far from the print quality and speed of my previous CR-6 SE. I hope I'll be able to fix it all by myself, but it's a lot to learn and tweak... :(
Hi there! Thank you for your video - it was helpful. I found the 1 cura profile you had and it said, "it is not compatible with the active machine "Anycubic Kobra Max" or something like that, though the printer I have active is that and the label for the provided file says it is also for the max. Do you by chance have any other cura profiles in .curaprofile format so Cura may recognize it? Thank you kindly.

Did your files gcode will work too for Chiron? i got my chiron since last year and after watch my both chiron and kobra, chiron seem to slow know haha,
ans same for vyper if it will accepte some files kobramax for the setting? :o for a same model 3d i did, kobra can print 7h but my vyper can for 14h hehe i still newloverprinter so idk waht happen
quick question, I've been using your 4.12 profile and love it. Can I use that same profile for PETG? Have you printed with PETG using this profile? What if any settings did you change besides temp?
Hey I haven't used PETG as of yet so give it a go maybe slow down the print speed and increase the temp let me know of you get on 😉
Since I update to cura 5.4 my top layer it's weird, it looks like it has bulges similar to an overextrusion. the base and the walls are perfect. I printed a calibration cube and aesthetically the top is perfect but the height it’s not exact, in fact using the same settings for a wider print these bulges and lines appear, probably caused by the extruder passing through it. what could I do? cutting the piece I see that the deformation is only in the last layer while the inside is normal.

I'm using Ultimaker Cura v 5.3 (which luckily the Kobra MAx has been added to). But I'm in the process of tuning it as the stock profile doesn't seem to be good. I've done my PID and Estep autotune to 100mm.
Issue:
I pulled the .zip direct from his link, extracted the zip, and have attempted to load the related profile.
When attempting to import the Zombie Cura profile I get error "StudioZombie3d_KobraMax_PLAV1.ini does not contain any valid profile"
Any advice?

Hey so this profile was for the lower version and I belive can only be added if not using the supplied kobra max machine setting on cura if you create a FFP machine and rename to kobra max that may work if not you can ipen as a word file and copy the information across if you have issues I may have the settings page in excel format

Just tested your profile, okay to get started.
Found the vyper profile with modified buildsize to be a bit better "out of the box" Profile, maybe its worth looking into tweaking and optimizing it for the Kobra.
Will definitely be revisiting this at some point... While I'm getting amazing results with my profile I thought I'd share that out 🙏👍

Hey in the description if you click on the linktree link and request access to my cura profile I will authorize it, just take into consideration that you may need to change the temperature and speed and possibly retraction

I am new to 3d printing I have the anycubic korbra max and I don’t understand how you print or make the Gcode or do anything really can you help me I have followed your instructions on here and I have completed it and got my printer on this app but how do I get it to print anything please help me
Thanks for watching, so you will need to add a model onto the cura app slice the file using the appropriate settings and then add the gcode file onto the sd card supplied , this will then run on the printer itself ...failing that there are some helpful guides on the basics of slicing files on cura I would suggest typing that into search here ... and then this will definitely help you going forward .. don't worry we where all new once enjoy and I would definitely add yourself to some Facebook help groups for the kobra max

Hey ensure its cura version 4.12 and the click on right hand side of screen the manage profiles tab, and then click import and select the download file that should work I believe it's shown in the video 🙏🙂

I have a problem with my kobra max. Sometimes I put it to print and after a while, it stops printing and leaves the piece cut. Do you have any idea why it could be?
Have you tried different slice files ??? And if it Happens again
@@3DPUK-TECH-CHANNEL I have tried with many different models and it happens with some. It seems reached a point not extruded. It's like the filament gets stuck and begins to accumulate at the end of the hotend
The same models works on my Ender3 V2

Thank you for the video.I recently purchased the Anycubic Kobra Max and am brand new to 3D printing. With that being said, I have a question about your settings for the print bed dimensions. You said that you don't want to go to the edge of the build plate, whose measurements are 400x400x450. Yet you inputted 402x402x452 which is larger than the measurements of the build plate. Please clarify this for me? Thank you
Hey so the actual measurements of the bed is way more but this gives the maximum usage of the print size... its worked well for me till now so you are all good, also check out the kobra max Facebook group there is a really start and end gcode available
