    So a few things I noticed
    1. Tsumugi does lie in trial 6. She says everything was scripted, even though it is clearly not true. When Oma took over in chapter 5 and revealed the outside world, Tsumugi had to improvise and messed up by connecting v3 to hope's peak arc.
    Furthermore, some labs stayed locked due to their owner being dead, which could imply that they died too soon. And considering Kaede's positivity, she'd likely vote for hope in the end, so maybe she should have stayed the protag for the entire time according to Tsumugi's script.
    2. Not my observation, but someone pointed out that that prologue Kaede recognized the monokubs ("If you guys are the monokubs").
    3. Prologue Rantaro is the only one to figure out they are in a killing game.
    4. Tsumugi tells kaede to turn around when changing into her clothes. Her cospox could be just makeup. And when Tsumugi changes back into her own clothes, it's described vaguely.
    5. In UTDP Tsumugi says she cant make a vampire butler's outfit for Celeste from nowhere but suggest that Hifumi designs a vampire butler oc so she can create that outfit. This could imply that the characters in the tapes were "ocs", so Tsumugi could cosplay them without getting cospox.
    6. Despite how evil and unstable Kaito is in his tape, he was a selfless and caring person in the game. Why would team dr fulfill Shuichi's wish, but not Kaito's?

    • @claiternaiter446

      Not enough ppl point out Kaede recognizing the monokubs. I feel like that’s the strongest evidence to show that their original prologue selves are their real selves. If their memories had been modified before this point, she shouldn’t have recognized them. If she was a fan of the show who wanted to be there, she wouldn’t have been so surprised or nervous about them. I think the prologue is played straight. The monokubs forgot to do the first flashback light before waking them up and we are seeing their real selves. The killing game probably is a real tv show, but not one ppl voluntarily sign up for. They may even have the “audition tapes” made so people think the kids are there of their own free will.

      To add on to point 3, Prologue Rantaro was also surprisingly calm and collected for someone who had only a few years ago at most SURVIVED THE PREVIOUS KILLING GAME where 14 high schoolers were killed. Im sorry but going through an experience like that, its on the level of escaping one of the contraptions in "Saw". Those memories should be burned into his brain and give him PTSD anytime a stuffed bear or something black and white comes into view.
      It might just be a plot hole but i always found it interesting how Rantaro acted in the prologue, and it made me question if he really was the "Ultimate Survivor" or if those memories were implanted by the flashback light instead.
      Also the "Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles" was in a state of prolonged abandonment in the prologue, suggesting it might have been decades since it was last used. Maybe Team Danganronpa has multiple set locations and the last Killing Game was filmed somewhere else, but its a lot of technology and not to even suggest how much it would cost to create that "End of the world" set piece, just to fit this one location. I dunno how logistical it would be for them to have multiple set pieces, and even if they did, idk why this one was abandoned for so long. If its been decades since the last KG took place then also no way Rantaro survived the last one, and it also means the audition tapes are fake too, and backs up the fact that all the kids had to be kidnapped and brought on set in secrecy.
      The show is not as popular as it seems to the outside world. That would explain why the 16 high schoolers had no idea what was going on, and why they only vaguely recognize the Monokubs in name only.

    They definitely weren't real, their personalities were either heavily flanderized or just different from their pre-game selves, an example of this being what Kaede said when being kidnapped "It made me think about how bad humanity was" or something like that. Its shows that yes, Kaede had some type of apathy to her character, but not to the extent the audition video showed. Which leads me to believe that Tsumugi was trying her hardest to not activate her cos-pox in the auditions by passing off these fictional interpretations of the characters as real people! Some things that have struck me as odd:
    - The idea that they were such big fans of Danganronpa, you would think the possibility that they’d been “selected” would cross their minds. It’s a killing game, it wouldn’t be a stretch for them to think they would forgo proper methods to bring them there
    - Additionally considering they’d been given no implanted memories at this point, shouldn’t they have recognized Rantaro, seeing how he was supposedly a survivor of the 52nd killing game?
    - If the audition tapes are in fact fake (which I believe they are) then the same could be speculated about Rantaro’s video and message. I have some more points to make on that.
    - Now on the other hand Rantaro seemed to know what was going on. It’s possible Tsumugi used him in a similar way to how Junko used Mukuro (though I suspect Rantaro was never a willing accomplice)
    - On that note, one thing that still needs to be solved so to speak, is the voices on the audience that we hear through Keebo. Now this may seem like strong evidence to support Tsumugi’s claim. However, as you pointed out, Tsumugi claims her plan was a “flawless copy” presumably of Junko’s. It’s possible that she previously manipulated people into doing her bidding, like Junko did with the 77th class (side note it’s also odd to me how among other inconsistencies she and any info about Hope’s Peak seem to ignore the fact that the Jabberwock Island killing game took place inside a simulation. And on top of that the same program name is shown the virtual world this cast travels to)
    - On one hand it makes sense to assume Tsumugi’s cospox was a lie but on the other hand it’d be tricky to fake so swiftly. However, if she didn’t fake it then her whole story comes crashing down immediately.

    • @alter_ech0

      I think Tsumugi has to be immune to the flashback lights effects, there's no other way, the meta narrative in ch.6 would stretch to infinity if even Tsumugi's memories of the outside world were a lie created by the flashback light.
      She's the only character who wears glasses, maybe that's the secret to block the memory erasing beam of light directed at you 😅
      Just because she acts scared and frightened in the prologue, doesn't mean much, because her entire character from 1-5 is nothing but kind and considerate to the others, especially Gonta. But its all an act by a truly sadistic and cruel person, who is erasing memories and forcing them to kill each other all while smiling and making cheeky anime refrences.

    There was a couple other things i wanna add:
    The main theme of the game is literally lies and truth. So it would make sense if they left something for us the players to figure out ourselves, even leaving clues for us to find.
    Secondly, when Kaede is being kidnapped, she says she was reminded of how rotten the world is. This is a strange sentence because I swear Tsumugi says the current world is a utopia where theres no war or violence. Why would Kaede say this then?
    Kaede also said she had a “talent”, very much implying that the flashback lights probably are unable to completely change their personality. Especially since Kaede and Shuichi acted fairly similar to how they do in the main game.
    Despite being a past contestant to the previous game, not a single person in the prologue recognized Rantaro. Yet they applied, and some were super fans supposedly. Yet none of then reacted to him. Rantaro, similarly, was just as confused as everyone else.
    So my theory is that this is in the Danganronpa world, just years after the Hopes Peak arc. And this is the 53rd actual killing game. They just kidnap random people and its shown to admirers of Junko and the remnants of despair.
    This could also just be an alternate universe, which is possible too. Where Danganronpa is actually fictional and it went like they had said, to the point where they actually did killing games. Just in secret. I’m a little doubtful about this one tho.

    This was a great video, I don't see many people talk about if Tsumugi lied. Most people just believe that she told the truth. This might be super long but I've got my own theory.
    My theory is that all the V3 characters are ultimate students and the versions of them in the killing game are their true selves.
    Firstly Tsumugi makes a lot of bold claims and everyone believes her because of cospox. They come to the realisation that everything is fictional because of cospox and because of this they believe everything else Tsumugi says. But cospox is a very flimsy foundation that can easily be disproven.
    Kaede changes in front of Tsumugi and it then says in the dialogue that Kaede turned around when Tsumugi changed. They wouldn't have put that piece of dialogue in for no reason. Many parts of V3 are crafted to push a narrative of truth or lies such as Tsumugi lying about everyone's reactions to being put in the killing game. It also mentioned how Kaede set up the murder without explicitly telling you that she was setting up the murder, this proves that the dialogue has been carefully written especially for important moments such as the masterminds reason for everything being fictional.
    If Kaede turned around then Tsumugi would have enough time to cover her whole body in makeup to resemble a rash. She can instantly cosplay as anyone in seconds, this can be seen in the final trial when she perfectly takes the form and voice of other Danganronpa characters. She is clearly skilled in makeup and can apply it in seconds, she changed her skin tone to match up with other characters when she cosplayed and she seems to be carrying around makeup when she was in the final trial, so it's not a stretch to assume that she was carrying makeup and quickly faked a rash while Kaede had her back turned. It even mentions that Tsumugi knew she was going to be questioned before they went to the bathrooms. This might not be the best evidence but Tsumugi was fine with getting changed in front of Angie, Tenko and Himiko in chapter 3 so it's odd that she isn't fine with changing in front of Kaede.
    Everyone believed Tsumugi's cospox was real even though it only happened once and the only person who saw it is dead and is an unreliable narrator. Kaede is an unreliable narrator because she set up the murder in front of the player without the dialogue explicitly saying her motivation for murder.
    Therefore if cospox is fake then Tsumugi lied and she can cosplay real people. So she could have created the audition tapes by cosplaying as Kaede, Shuichi and Kaito. Once you realise that cospox is fake everything else can also be easily proven fake.
    In the audition tapes all of the names are blanked out, this implies that they had different names before. But Kaede and Shuichi say their names in the prologue when they supposedly had their old names. The personalities are also inconsistent, Shuichi is portrayed as a Psychopathic Danganronpa fan but in the prologue he is shown to be caring as he tried to save Kaede by directing her where to go when the exisal was chasing her.
    However many characters have different personalities such as Kokichi being more timid or Kirumi looking very timid in the CG. My theory is that they all erased the memories of their talents to escape from the killing game. They are in the same universe as the past two games because Tsumugi's cosplays were fake so it proves that they are in the same universe. They would have known about the tragedy and what monokumas looked like that's why they reacted in fear when they saw the monokubs because they resemble monokuma.
    The flashback light can give memories back, some of these memories are real and some of them are false. But there was also a machine that was on Kaedes head that can be seen in the second half of the prologue when they remember they are ultimate's. The implication is that this device was used to erase their memories of the first half of the prologue. So these could be the same devices they used to erase their memories of their talents.
    If the characters forgot their talents they would have forgotten all of the memories that come with their talents. This explains all of the characters personalities. If Kokichi forgot his talent then he would have forgotten all of the memories of him playing pranks on people when he was in D.I.C.E. If he forgot these memories then he would be a troublemaker. If Kirumi forgot about being a maid then she would have forgotten her formal attitude she developed because of being a maid.
    Tenko acts dramatic and has a low tolerance for pain in the prologue. She says she has a low tolerance for pain in the second class trial. She acts the same way both times she sees the exisals.

    • @greenskullix1431
      @greenskullix1431 3 ปีที่แล้ว +41

      She screams, panics and acts dramatic. They wouldn't have done this for no reason. If they were different people then they would have used the dialogue to show how different she was before and after the flashback light instead of copying the dialogue and having the same reaction. This proves that Tenko has the same personality. Tenko had the same personality before she developed her talent. She had extreme emotions such as temper tantrums and it can be assumed that her being hyper and overdramatic are apart of those extreme emotions. Those extreme emotions got her sent to live and train at a temple where she learned Neo Aikido. So if she forgot her talent and all of the memories associated with it then she would still have the same personality traits.
      Kaede probably grew to love humanity by seeing everyone happy with her music. She played the piano since she was a baby, so if you take her memories of her talent away then she wouldn't like humanity because she wouldn't have seen everyone so happy at her performances.
      Ryoma was probably kidnapped from jail by Tsumugi. It seems hard to believe that one 18 year old girl could break into a highly guarded prison and break out a criminal without being caught but Junko was an 18 year old girl who caused the downfall of humanity so I think it's safe to assume that Tsumugi could break into a prison.
      Sorry for the very long comment. I could go into a lot more theories but I don't want to be a nuisance. Once again thank you for making a wonderful video.

    I think even Tsumugi being the mastermind is a lie. She just believes that she's the mastermind because of the flashback lights. But, in reality, she's just another victim being held against her will. Shuichi even points out the relief on her face after she lost, indicating that she really didn't enjoy it as much as she claimed.
    Keep in mind that one of the things that Shuichi caught onto was that one of the punishments that one of the surviving students would have to be facing (he said that it was the sacrifices, but I think that was a mistake on his part) is becoming the mastermind for the next killing game.

    the whole ending of v3 is so so so interesting just because it can be taken in so many ways! another theory i saw was about the whole necronomicon motive in chp 3. if it was used, _how_ would have a dead character been brought back? it's so weird right? none of the motives are necessarily lies, because they do always lead to something. the card that reveals "the real world" really did work and showed a fabricated version of the world. with that in mind, how was team dangan going to go forward with the necronomicon? this is where the neo world program theory comes in. i find it difficult to believe that the entirety of japan's population would have agreed to a killing game on-air, and what i think team dangan would've done to sate the public's disagreement is the NWP (neo world program). all 16 students put in the NWP and forced to play the killing game, and when anyone would die they'd either wake up in the real world or be in a comatose state until the end of the killing game. this would it make so that bringing back any of the dead students is possible during chp 3. i dunno, it's a weird theory but the whole necronomicon thing is also a strange motive. what do you think? i thought i'd throw this out here lol

    • @spec___
      @spec___ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Neo World immediately came to mind when the necronomicon appeared, but there are zero evidences of anything in this game being a simulation
      I thought the exaggerated technology was evidence, since the Monobeasts and Monokuma's super powers were explained by DR2 being a simulation, but then Another Episode came and showed that super advanced robots can exist in real life
      Another theory that I think makes sense is that they would simply get someone that looks like the dead participant and give them the participant's memories. It'd a lot harder to do but it fits the rest of the story
      I guess they refrained from actually using the necronomicon to avoid giving an explanation, but the mere existence of it is pretty confusing since it brought no lasting effects to the plot (it wasn't even used as a motive), so it just raised unecessary questions

    • @spec___
      @spec___ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Another thing: looking from an writing perspective, the simulation thing would ruin the ending
      The characters were willing to give up their own lives to end the killing game since it is, you know, a killing game. I know about the possibility of them being forced to play the game and, yes, that's already bad, but the deaths are the main fuel behind the character's decision. If there were no consequences and everyone got to live after the game ended, what would be the purpose of ending Danganronpa?

  • @lendelsmanio6412
    @lendelsmanio6412 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I'll give my two cents in a random video on the internet just because
    There are a lot of things that point not only to the tapes being false, but she also lying about the fact that they aren't ultimates, and maybe even about V3 being the 53rd killing game.
    Let's talk about the tapes first: The tapes are recorded in an extremely strange angle for audition tapes, which is consistent with the idea that she may have recorded all in her lab. Normally, in auditions like that the camera would be facing the person speaking at, more or less, the same height as their eyes. Being a reality show it could be even the case that they would prefer that you would record your own audition and send it to them, meaning it would be even more bizarre to have them all with the same backgrounds. Also, about the prologue I believe time doesn't add up in addition to the evidence you've brought up, I don't think that there was enough time to record the tapes.
    Them not being ultimates: that is clearly a lie. She claims everything about their talents was put into their brains and that they are ordinary people, however, there are some talents that no matter how much you stress it, doesn't make any sense. I'll begin with the ones I believe should have an argument to support that it was brainwash, but it's still strange. Shuichi's deductive skills, Angie's artworks and Miu's inventions don't add up as being the result of them receiving their talents out of nowhere, because although it may be plausible to insert information, those require specific skills that can only be met with practice and experience. But these could still have an argument for being fake, however now we enter the ones that simply don't add up in any way shape or form: Himiko's, Kirumi's and Maki's talents. I'll start with Kirumi's: There are a lot of things that a maid need to know how to do that requires dexterity, finesse and muscle memory, things she wouldn't be capable of without proper physical training, same goes for Himiko's talent, anyone who've ever dealt with magic tricks should know that the prestidigitation and dexterity required for the tricks, not only for sleight of hand, but all sorts of tricks, is also something that can only be achieved with proper physical training, but the worst is Maki. Maki is shown to be extremely fit and precise, and in more than one time she shows she's able to move wicked fast. There's absolutely no way that that is the result of a talent being implanted in her head out of the blue, if her body never did any of that before she simply wouldn't be capable of doing so, no amount of fake information would be able to do that and even if they chose a volunteer physically fit to play the ultimate assassin (which would be speculation to assume so, since we have no evidence for that), what she does is too specific to be something anyone could do even if they were physically fit. I would put Ryouma and Tenko here too, but we never saw them using their talents during the main game, so I don't think they would be a good example.
    But I would even go as far as to say that even Kokichi's talent and way of thinking don't add up to that narrative, but honestly, that would be hard to argue concretely.
    Lastly, the 53rd killing games: No way that makes sense. Every iconic reference to previous killing games always focus on the two games before this, save for a few throwaway lines from Monokuma and the Monokubs, there's absolutely no reference to no other killing games. Between them saying a random thing about a previous execution or something similar and having a entire virtual world, a pattern on the window which is Sayaka on a show, or even the iconic sword, those things aren't even close to comparable. Plus, Monokuma and the Monokubs say weird shit that makes no sense all the time, and some of those things were proven to be deliberate lies to fuck with the participants of the killing game and misdirect them on purpose. I don't think this was the 3rd killing game per se, because I do believe there's evidence that might have been others between the second game and this one, or even more than one happening at the same time in parallel with each other, but I find it hard to believe that there were 53rd of them, specifically when certain things that makes a comeback are explicitly said to be the second time they appear. You mean to tell me that in 53 installments, only in the last one they thought to replicate the execution with the space rocket of the first one. They didn't thought of it not even in the anniversaries with round numbers, like the 50th anniversary for example? Nope, I refuse to believe that a show would do that.
    Anyway, that last one was more like a minor one, but it has bothered me forever now. The first two were more important. Tsumugi lied about everything and her story doesn't make any sense specifically compared to the other games. I could go on and even say how much this makes the story of the games contradict themselves unless you assume Tsumugi lied (which seems to be the case since the game provided extremely good evidence), but it's now 2 in the morning where I live, so I have to go to sleep even though I'm obsessed with talking about danganronpa right now.
    Anyway, have a nice day whoever read this thing I wrote till the end.

    I've actually recently started writing fanfic for the first time because of this game. I will admit that I've kind of cheapened the plot of the game, because in my head I desperately want these kids to come out happy since they deserve so much more.
    I've tried to make it so that the truths and lies kind of meld together. Regarding the tapes, I wrote them so that they were legitimate, but altered. The thing that stuck out to me was how Shuichi's name was censored to imply that he's a totally different person.
    Another thing I've done is that the validity of the survivors' past is in question because of Tsumugi, but in actuality their memories are more similar to reality with some embellishments. Eg. If these are normal kids that are given talents, Maki wouldn't be an assassin. However, she'd still be from an orphanage. That sort of thing.
    I kind of accidentally advertised my fanfic, but I'd like to contribute to the conversation that there are elements of truths and lies to be had in all forms of discussion. For my case, I treated the Killing Game as a lie as though it's the survivors series. With those who get to win and leave retaining all memories (including their talents) from the game, whereas those eliminated come back as their supposedly pregame selves.
    Also I'm a huge Saimatsu sucker, so I'm doing all I can to imagine them all having a happy ending XS

      This is less about the survival of the game than the perception of how much of the events have actually transpired. As in, the words coming out of Tsumugi's mouth can be taken at face value. Or maybe she's lying about everything. Or maybe there's a level of truth behind her lies and vice versa. Which is why I like the ending where it really plays with your thoughts and understanding up to that point, and how it could change when going over it.
      My route about it is definitely cheapens the game, I will admit. But I feel like there's significance to thinking of how even when things are fake, there are real effects. In my fanfic, it deals with that issue in a psychological manner. Granted in a mild way, because my focus is ultimately a Saimatsu fanfic XD

    I think the main reason it's so divisive is the fact that on the surface it wipes out everything that happened in previous cannon. But the ending really did leave a lot of fascinating mysteries about the game, the other games, and the series as a whole that it leaves to the player to answer for themselves. In my opinion it was a little clunky in it's execution but it was still a very fitting way to end the series as a whole, until the next Danganronpa game of course.

    I never thought of it before, but there is a contradiction about the audience of the game. Tsumugi claims that the world is peaceful with no wars or serious crime. It’s basically a utopia or very close to becoming one, a far better world than the one in Danganronpa or our own. And yet the audience wants to keep seeing hope triumph over despair? Yes, there are those that like Despair endings, but there seems to be an awful lot of support for Hope. What need does a utopia have for hope when they’ve already reached an era of peace and harmony? Why hope when you’ve reached your goal for a better world? We like seeing hope and fiction because of how escapist it is to our world and how it inspires us to do better than our current selves. What if DR1&2 are actually fiction as the Danganronpa video game exists in their world and the Danganronpa game show was made in their universe as a copy of the video game, thats why Tsumugi can cosplay as 1 & 2 characters and not V3 characters. The tapes are most likely fake like the flashback light “memories”

    5:00 Why is that even a question? It was either Tsumugi and/or the monocubs, whom recently dressed them all up.
    It's not far fetched to assume that after the first flachback light, they simply had them dressed back in their original cloths.

    AND ANOTHER THING!
    Tsumugi's entire claim of "cospox" relies on the notion that the Hope's Peak Danganronpa world and the Danganronpa V3 outside world are on different planes/levels of fiction and reality, with V3 supposedly being more "real world" akin to our prime reality. Hence the countless obvious references to other media, including several *directly by name* mainly by Tsumugi and Monokuma themselves (Monokuma's Hedgehog rant, Tsumnugi talking about Doraemon, etc.), creating the idea that everything that exists as fictional entertainment in their world is the same as ours. This primes us to believe her when she says Hope's Peak is pure fiction even within the game's universe.
    Yet even that has to be tossed out the window as any sort of proof to back her claims because Hope's Peak Danganronpa is ALSO chock full of these references being made by name. We have a Jason Statham fangirl, a dude who prays to King Kai, a guy who named his gang after a JoJo's stand, the main character claiming he doesn't *have* a Stand...so clearly, that world shares a lot of "entertainment" in common with ours as well.
    Now sure, that could easily mean HP is fiction in a real-lite setting to V3 the same as both are to us, but why does Tsumugi's "Ultimate Cosplay" amount to borderline instantaneous shapeshifting if, say, Ultimate talents are all fake? No, the Monokumas don't take away from that. Despite these character skins all bearing different shapes, colors, and sizes, including some being shorter than Tsumugi herself, clearly the switches ARE NOT happening too fast for her to adapt because *she emulates each voice perfectly the moment the character's on and never flubs or gets the wrong voice.* So we don't know whether they're the ones actually changing her skins or they're just providing the smoke screen so the classmates (and the player) don't get a quick flash of naked Tsumugi. Whichever case may be, what's abundantly clear is whose team exactly BUILT the Monokumas.

    I've seen some other comments saying the same thing but I'm gonna make my comment. No, I don't believe Tsugumi was lying. While yes, lying may be fitting for her character in this specific scenario she has no reason to. Plus the memories of being kidnapped were part of the fake memories, adding more to the fake ultimate hunt plot of the ultimate students being hunted down and kidnapped. On top of all this, the game clearly shows that people in the world of danganronpa are crazy enough to worship it around the world, so it's not out of the ordinary that some people ate simply crazy enough to want to participate in this killing game whether they die or not. This is the truth I'm sticking to unless there's some proof that REALLY convince me.

    • @jjrolay9960
      @jjrolay9960 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Here’s some proof that might convince you. you claim that them remembering them being kidnapped was a false memory but Tsumugi mentions that they would lose their memory and identity after the flashback light was used and keade says they were kidnapped before the flashback light was used also we’re supposed to believe the prologue was their original identity before they got brainwashed and that’s when Keade mentions being kidnapped.

    Another thing that disproves cospox being real is monokuma. Tsumugi’s Junko cosplay is holding a Monokuma in one of her sprites. This is cosplaying a non-fiction character and should have given her cospox if she was telling the truth.

    I just assumed they were brainwashed multiple times the first time they were there cuz we already know they can brainwash people pretty easily but those machines. I wasn't sure if the original personalities were there or they were brainwashed. I just assumed the tapes were real.
    But if they're original selfs was rebrainwashed.but at the end of the game three people survived, and went into the real world so what would happen to them they would be famous of course but not all the fans like them though for ignoring the reality show not sure about their families though if they had any.

    I’m over 3 years late to this video but I gotta say, this theory makes a lot of sense. Honestly, I know a lot of people aren’t really fans of Tsumugi being the mastermind due to how predictable it is, but you gotta admit that the lies she tells makes the story much more interesting and compelling which makes the player really think about what went down in certain parts of the story and whatnot. That’s part of the reason why I love V3: it’s very clearly centered around lies (Kokichi and Tsumugi both contribute to this), so you never actually know if what anything that happened was the truth or not.

    I would have preferred that everyone get punishment in the final judgment, rather than tsumugi changing the vote to her and keebo, and continuing like, "I don't think your friends are going to vote for me" preferring to vote badly to end it all, so keebo It would motivate them that just voting for tsumugi everything would end, then they would vote for her but that they would be wrong because she was never the mastermind and she was just incubating someone.
    Just for the sake of danganronpa.

  • @alexvanegas1014
    @alexvanegas1014 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Hi, I have my next theory:
    Tsumugi lied a LOT. She did lied not only these audition tapes, but also Rantaro's tapes. Pretending to be him in order to make sure he went to the right place in order to get the first kill done.
    Tsumugi can cosplay them, that's why on chapter 3 monobears offer the resurrection ritual. She was agreed by cosplaying one of the dead players if the ritual came to be completed.
    My theory is that is not an alternative universe. Is the same universe post danganronpa 3 anime. When Naegi is adult and society is recovered. But some despair still remains. A cosplayer tried to cosplay Enoshima Junko, and get caught with the character, creating a new despair that made them capture 15 students, to start this killing game, rantaro is possible that was a hope's peak academy that knew about Monokuma and the new killing games, so he get caught on purpose just to get inside and fight mastermind, sadly, Tsumugi was able to get this and make sure to kill him first as the biggest threat for her purposes.

    What if after the auditions, Team Danganronpa tracked down the students they selected and kidnapped them out of nowhere rather than just kindly informing them that they got in and normally transporting them? Sure, that would suggest that they would also remember auditioning during the prologue since they still had all their memories, but this could be explained by either them 1. them still not realizing during the prologue that they’re in this school because of the audition or 2. their memories of just the audition could’ve been wiped before they woke up, since Team Danganronpa always had access to the memory wiping stuff, I think? Or they just altered the students’ memories to make them think they were just randomly kidnapped, since them knowing that they wanted to be in the killing game obviously would’ve messed things up?

      she doesn’t recall them getting “picked up” though, she recalls literally being grabbed off the side of the road on her way to school and being forced into a car. and how does it make any logical sense she can vividly recall being kidnapped but doesn’t have a semblance of an idea how she wound up in a killing game, when the “audition tape” depicts her as being very eager to be apart of it?

    • @Sirius-Nightstream

      @@SensitiveDeku its semantics to argue over picked up and kidnapped. i meant the same thing.
      Also she woke up in a locker and said that was the first thing she remembered. When the monokubs transported (or whatever other word is better here) them all to the realm of killing, any past memories all became fabricated.

    I agree and love this head canon it sounds like it could be the real deal here. Tho i must say i do belive that the characters are real, tsumugi is 100% bullcraping them. Or is she? I mean she probably thinks everybody is fictional in HER perspective because her world is the game world and every other character is from the outside world kidnapped into the inside world. To the rest of the characters they view tsumugi as fake because shes a game character, to tsumugi its the opposite. Its difference perspective and realities. And i also think tsumigi could be lying about the cosplaying rash, because we all can see that she can easily shape shift and everything, so her being able to turn her skin pink makes sense.

    I also believe that. Theese tapes aren't real and also the personality switch because if you analyze the characters personality in the game and in the prologue they are tecnically de same the only difference that the flashback lights did added was the talents because even kaede and shuici said that they are just average high school students and when kaede meet with everyone and monosuke mentions the ultimate talents kaede said tha she did had a hobbie but dind't consider it an ultimate . meaning she dind't have an ultimate talent and if the swich personality was real than shuici and kaede wouldn't present thenselves as kaede and shuici before the fist flashback ligth.
